  • Hey guys,
No videos for quite a long time but at the moment I'm more active on my other channel Dancinghorses Vlogs.
But here we go: two weeks ago Orador and I had our first Working Equitation competition. I really enjoyed it!
The evening before I realized that I practiced the wrong dressage exercise but still it went very well!
Both trail test could have been much better, but Orador was really afraid of the wooden bull :D
In the end we were on rank 9 from 21, not bad for our first time :)
    I love my boy!♥

I love your videos an all, but were spurs and that huge bit really neccesary? Kinda disappointed, but hey you do you.

I think it is neccesary on the level she is, but I don't know for sure

Liv M. L. I know she is an excellent rider, and she doesn't need spurs and that huge bit. What bothers me is that she's using them either for show or she needs them because the horse is not yet ready for this kind of work. Either way, is it for the horses best interest? Let's even say that that bit is not a problem, why spurs?

Her tackless videos are one of my favourite, and they show that she has a wonderful connection with her horses.

Liv M. L. Your english is just fine :), hm... you have a good argument about spurs, might be right, I'm just very wary of them. I'm against regular riders using them, but maybe she has good enough leg control and balance tu use them without hurting her horse

Exactly, just like bits. Riding with bit isn't immediately bad, it's the rider who uses them *wrong. Just like bitless riding isn't immediately good. If the rider keeps her/his hands still and doesn't pull on the bit, it's okay. Ofcourse a bit isn't the nicest thing for a horse, but sometimes it's just needed. And I think Liv is right about the spurs. Horse riding doesn't hurt (too) much as long as the rider can ride.
