Shatter Me is...bad? || RANT REVIEW

Everyone on BookTube seems to love this book, so I was excited to read it. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed when I extremely disliked it. Hopefully this video clarifies the problems I found with it. Thanks for watching!

I read Unravel me 2 days ago. And it really awaken me to the really try hard writing. Like sometimes when they are in a group of 3 or more I can't tell who is talking. Also Adam is hella boring. The eye descriptions and the feeling descriptions drive me crazy. Kenji, Castel, Jame, and the twins are the only ones I care about. This is not really a dystopian book, it's a dystopian love triangle romance.
Juliet is a pity party of one.
Adam has the personality of a teaspoon.
Warner is an okay person, I'm just so tired of the bad boy with a messed up passed and a terrible parent that makes them the way they are.
Kenji is literally perfection.

I agree.
Instead of falling in love with Julliet (yes, I am a Warnette hater), Warner should have spend more time with Adam since the were abused by the same father and the two would have become closer as real brothers.

I thought the metaphors were too much as well lol. Sometimes I was like: "ok, so I guess that was pretty but like.... what actually just happened?"

Right! She'd go so into detail it would take away from what's actually happening in the story.

I agree with you on everything, I do like Warner however, but it's not because he is great. It's just because Adam is sooo boring that Warner stands out in comparison. The book was pretty much garbage to me, I hated every moment of it. Juliette to me just exists and is slightly annoying and meh. I also rated it 2/5 stars

i agree with what u say here. the first book was my least favorate in the series, i was just very confused when i read it and i didnt wnat to read the whole series but when i did i liked it too much! and theres like a compeling plot twists, character development, feelings etc.
i was very confused why people loved warner so much at the begining, but it made sense in the other books. id still say, it really annoys me when authors write the first book in a series bboringly and only give u good plot at the end to get u "compelled", which is exactly what happend in here. personaly, if i hated a book so much and then theyd give me a bit of plot at the end to get me to read the next one, i wouldnt.

This is literally my favorite series. I thought the writing style was perfect for a 17 year old insane girl but I do see your point on many things. Sorry you didn't like it.
