I'll still be doing bevy and ecs things but in more 1 off videos. At some point it's nice to wrap up a series when it achieves its goals and I'm glad it helped you get started with bevy.
On my github I have the survival crafting game which was live coded on this channel. There I do some work with using config files to create a scale-able game (mostly centered around making adding new content, like crafting recipes, not require code changes)
You really should invest some time in thumbnails and change sky color in your games to blue(it will make you tutorials look better 10 times and make 10 times more views)
I do put time into my thumbnails and try to keep a consistent template so people know what they are getting into. The goal is clean and informative. I'm not making entertainment videos targeting people scrolling, I'm making targeted niche educational videos (and this specifically is part 7 of a series). As for effectiveness, it seems that my series is one of the better (if not best) performing bevy intro series so people looking for educational content aren't being scared away by the bland thumbnails.
@Logic Projects Your videos are truly the best. And I'm not talking specifically about this video, but about the entire channel. I think you can reach more audience effortlessly just by adding a couple of lines of code (for example, make the clearcolor blue, this little change will make your thumbnails look much better and get more people to click on them)
I thought about your comment all day and I regret my original reply. I was a bit too defensive. Honestly I am self conscious about my thumbnails and the graphical appeal of my videos because I know I don't have an artist touch. It's something I've been trying to practice and I hope as I go forward I get better at it.
While I agree that perhaps adding some colour to make it look like it's sky will make the game more visually appealing, IMO the thumbnails are very good and concise throughout the entire series, which I would expect from a playlist on a specific topic. They change progressively according to what is being changed and added. Anyway, thank you @Logic Projects for your time and great tutorials!
Wish we had another series like this. Short, well explained, easy to understand and follow
Sad to see this series go - but it has helped me better understand ECS and Bevy a little.

I like that Vec2::extend - nice helper
More! :)
Interested to hear more about this hash map/config file stuff
