´Autechre´ sound sometimes like they had a fight with trash cans and made a beat with the sound. I talked with them. They are people with a lot humor. Not creepy at all. Very positive.
Sean and Rob are totally sound and Richard is such a polite and great person he put me on his guest list for a gig in Leeds once top gig as well. They are all Legends.
Rdj with sound design and the rest is Autechre, maybe... but sounds like both too. Actually, most of this is rdj trying to impress autechre. Those guys have been using the same patches for a few years now. So my final answer is is these guys were out to mutually impress eachother.
"Aphex Twin & " ... was there much aphex twin in this at all? "Artist Autechre". rdj touch that at all? i thought i heard aphex twin scribblings over it... but was that just the power of suggestion? mislabelled?
You are correct, the other recordings of this show that have found just say autechre so I believe it is just an ae live show. I will say I bought a bootleg cd in 2002 or so that had this title so the misinformation goes way back lol
It's not a track, just a live unreleased performance. But i'm pretty sure that the synth that kicks in around 27:00 is the same they used in Goz Quarter
Come on, this is autechre ONLY! Why do everyone believe aphex was involved in this, where does this mislabeling come from?? aphex was NOT involved in this performance! (otherwise, nice pic of Sean and his finger, lol)
this is great stuff ,they are very similar artists but id say aphex delves much deeper into experimental side of things "computer controlled acoustic instruments Pt2" for example and "collapse EP"
Aphex also seems to have more of a variety of different styles in his collection. To me he’s the most important and representative artist in “electronic music”
It is weird that so many people say they both are similar, simply because they are electronics. They are not similar at all, like their sounds, both in composition and timbre, are utterly utterly remote from each other. As for the experimental thing, it is weird too that people even call Aphex experimental, because his sounds are very easy to assimilate, even by people who are only into commercial music. I enjoy Aphex, but it doesn't go beyond what is pleasant and well done (although of course to the highest degree). Autechre, on the contrary, is a constant challenge, way more complex, and they constantly dig deeper and deeper.
@@ryancusimano5892 Aphex is really good, but the variety you mention is only apparent, for he just takes some elements from different styles without getting beyond them or transcending them. Within one single album of Autechre you find much more variety and complexity of sounds and composition that in the whole discography of Aphex. I love Aphex too, but the fact that his work is more "audibly pleasant" and easy to understand by many people, doesn't make him be the most representative of the complexity of electronic music, though of course he is the most famous.
I studied visual art. But I think Aphex and Autechre have done better work than most famous British artist like Damien Hirst and Tracy Emin.
Had the pleasure of meeting Joe Autechre at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny!
Great guy! Love him!
Marty Autechre(joe’s brother 😊) is married to Jane Squarepusher and they are a lovely couple!

More like clickbait if you ask me. Not even a solid milkman or pancake lizard to be heard....
That sucks. All I see is autechre ruining everything all the time
what do you mean? This entire set is 100% autechre and is a good set also.
