    Another great video! Thank you so much! This is very helpful. It'd be great if you could do a video on how much help you need from other people while lengthening depending on different methods. I'll probably have to do it solo, so it'll help me understand what kind of caretaker I need to hire, for what, for how long, how often, etc. :)

    After frame removal, I flew from Istanbul to the states. I made sure I booked Business Class, so I could stretch out my legs, but it was a little challenging walking to/from the restroom on the plane.

    Hey Cyborg. Great to see a new informative video about LLS, thank you for what your're doing! I was woundering when you would recommend to start streching before surgery? Oh and also whether the chances of getting knee arthritis is high with tibia surgery, by not cutting the fibula in both ends? (referring to your conversation with Paley about complications) I hope you will be able to answer, if not that okay too, since your busy with doing a difference for this community! :)

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  2 года назад +2

      3-4 weeks to get into a good routine is great and to increase flexibility and maintain it going into surgery. But 8 weeks is even better for about 10-15min per day and ramp it up. Knee arthritis is unlikely if you fixate fibula properly to prevent "floating" fibula complication. That and bone alignment

    Hey Cyborg, what do you think about taller people having larger lungs?
    My worry with LL is getting longer legs but not having the larger lungs of a taller person which could possibly effect athletic performance and/or getting enough o2 in your later life.

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  2 года назад +3

      Nah your lungs will adapt over time to the height increase and overall physical activity trust me, the body is far more sophisticated than you can fathom

    Hi Cyborg 4 Life, we have corresponded in the past. I'm writing 5 thesis papers on LL for my university and made reference to you. These are extensive and rigorous read as it covers psychic attrition that statutory short people experience including me. This becomes more apparent in professional personal development suffers dysphoria and dysmorphia and both are largely ignored by policy makers in industry in general. Higher paying salaries, more professional settings tend to attract "height enfranchised" people not the dysenfranchised.
    I'm also planning on surgery underway in the very near future through Paley fifth option which can get me maximum lengthening given I do exactly what Paley requires.
    The thesis papers will fall under "Global Study" its an elective we take prior to receiving our degree -picking up a second bachelors degree. Professional Scientist and 5 foot 6 at 50 years age but look much younger -Mark (not my actual name).

    Hey Victor, could you mention how long after the surgery they traveled? I don't think a wheelchair or crutches are required if you travel, let's say, 6 months after the procedure. What do you think?

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  2 года назад +1

      I know one of them traveled after lengthening - patient 2, patient 1 traveled near end of lengthening too I believe, the other unilateral traveled about 2-3 weeks after but just one leg

    • @Cyborg4Life

    Here is a Pretty Intresting question, might not many have asked you
    Let's say you are 5'8 and you increased your Femur length by 2 inch and now you are 5'10, how much weight can you gain from that 2 inch height growth from both leg combined, I know the answer can't be exact, but you can give a rough estimate?

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  2 года назад +1

      Good question actually here’s the answer: How muscles stretch and GROW during limb lengthening

    hey victor.. Im planing to do femurs with full weight bearing, do the operation ALONE, solo and back to my country in 2 weeks, ¿is that posible? Im mean I dont expected to walk normaly but, with full wight bearing nail, alone in 2 weeks is just fine to be independent enought to travel back by myself or I sould wait more time before take the plane back in my home country.. expencting fringht of 15 hours.. what do you think? cheers. like you channel

    • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  2 года назад +1

      I still would suggest hiring a caretaker and yeah you could use the airline and accommodations to help you travel back and forth but definitely use as much help as you can

    • @r.azizzi5508
      @r.azizzi5508 2 года назад +1

      It can be done, but I wouldn't recommend it. As a former patient, I can tell you the first 2-3 weeks are the most painful, and most challenging. In addition, daily PT is needed to help mitigate pain, and restore strength and range of motion.

    What do you think about LIVELIFETALLER. They seem to be the most popular place. They have patients stay there and do physical therapy with them

    • @oscarfarmer7043
      @oscarfarmer7043 2 года назад +2

      People who just get the surgery there and immediately go back home, usually have a horrible experience with them because patients get the cheap LON solution which is risky because of infections. But being there with them and building rapport with the therapist/nurses is where they have the best feedback. They actually can relate with your progress/condition which is what makes them good.
      So it's a hit or miss, either you go all in with them and have the best possible outcome, or you have a terrible experience via getting the surgery with LON and leaving.
