  • Choisya Aztec Gold is an easy plant to grow, they do best in full sun or partial shade and prefer a moist but well drained soil. this is a great addition to add a great vibrant splash of colour adding variety to your garden.
This is a version of Choisya Aztec Pearl, the foliage has a hint of citrus scent. In April and May clusters of creamy white almond scented flowers appear, often with a second flush in August and September, especially if the shrub is deadheaded in early Summer.

Thanks for sharing. Am a fan of Aztec Pearl but was unaware of this variety.

hi, thanks for watching. Yes it’s a variety of that. I think the flowering looks better on Aztec Pearl but this is good to all year colour.

Hi there I planted choysia ternata last year. It grew pretty fast in 6 months. I loved it but the freeze has damaged a good chunk on the top third of the plant. I'm new to this plant (I'd really like more choysia varieties), have you any advice on what I should do? Is it worth trying to prune it back in the spring? Thanks for your time

Hi, It is tough plant and suffer leaf damage. You can prune it back no problem and it will grow fresh growth. you can do this in spring before it comes into flower. It will flower later than normal in my experience. pruning also keeps it compact and tidy.

@@mywalledgarden thanks so much. Would you say early spring or late spring to snip the damage off (well more than a snip actually) haha
