What a way to start the new One Piece year!
Ye, I'm so excited so many great anime's are coming back this year demon slayer, solo leveling, my hero academia, classroom elite and so many more
Netflix is gonna release the egg head arc weekly starting next week
Allona at the end of the episodes they are going to tell you facts about people or the world
Oh yeah.
Funny enough we ran across Lulucia a few times before its destruction: one with its princess that Koby saved before the Reverie, where he also met Rebecca and Leo, and the other during the attack from Pinkbeard and the Revolutionary Captains fought. It even was the island the Milk Girl lived that saved Ace from drowning in one of the cover stories.
yeah i almost cried when i watched this in the manga... i dont known why but the brutal death of endearing characters always gets me...
In non adapted manga cover stories, Ace also went to Lulusia before to search for Blackbeard.
so technically Dr. Black Beard is dead...
Maybe milk girl is alive, maybe Rev army took her out to them. Or she vaporised with entire island.
Because of the coverstory happened after the Alabasta Arc, you can assume that Lulusia is in the first half of the Grand Line, possible near Alabasta. In other words straw hats wont get near that place in the near future.

YO every time one piece enters a new arc.. the new music / the art style.. the presentation just always hits! They know how to hook us from the jump of the Arc. this episode was 10/10 for me.

Don't get me wrong , I love the manga .. BUT this had so much impact seeing Lulusia's destruction animated , with the music and all ..damn .. As much as I was shooked seeing it happened in the manga , seeing the dark atmosphere when the clouds coming is scarier
I totally agree I too preferred the anime for this ep. We could really feel the snow falling, the waves moving and the dramatic music during the Lulusia never existed and the ending giant shark scenes just elevated the content so much for me! Toei really be raising the bar for WIT studio to keep up they go absolutely crazy sometimes xD
This is where the amime makes a scene better. It was pretty cool and eerie
The anime made it much more disturbing which is great.
The whole world would see Imu's existence as treason since that would mean that it was never a democracy where every king is on equal-footing like everybody think it is but a dictatorship for centuries
This episode felt like the beginning of a One Piece movie, love the direction
Ending were performed by Maki Otsuki , the one that sing MEMORIES , ending 1 ... and this ending shows Memories
Just a simple theory of mine:
Luffy is the imagination of that of a pen while Imu is that of an eraser, Luffy brings smiles on peoples face by creating everything you can imagine (Gear 5) while Imu erases anything he/she wants to hence why Lulusia Kingdom never existed in the first plance (kinda ironic how Luffy seems like the "rubber/eraser" and Imu like the "pen/ink"but their roles are completely reversed).
Both sides will have their limits though. Also the One Piece must be something inbetween, funny enough, what is between a pen and an eraser?
A tale = "Laugh Tale".
This is a good theory.
This arc about to be insane cant wait for the rest of the episodes haha

I absolutely love the new ending. I love the callback to the first One Piece ending memories with the Strawhats appearing one by one looking at the sun rise. Very cool the original singer of the first ending Maki Otsuki came back and song the new ending.

The world government annihilated an island entirely because Sabo was there. The government wants NO ONE hearing that empty throne has a ruler.

Not only the animation, but the direction in this episode was masterful. I hope they keep being creative like that, I know the animation isn't gonna hold up every episode but it would be awesome if the direction could keep being as creative. That's not necessarily something that requires more time from the animators (unless it's crazy camera pans, that takes a lot of effort to animate, but a lot of good ideas in this episode aren't anywhere near as animation intensive as that).

The Fishman Island Red Poneglyph that used to be next to Joyboys letter is the missing Poneglyph nobody can find because it has been moved
Roger already had Big Mom's Poneglyph rubbing as his 1st Red Poneglyph rubbing when he recruited Oden in the Oden Flashback and they picked up Wano's, Fishman Island's,and Zou's Poneglyph in the Oden Flashback.
ng with chopper is not next episode stuff. Its extra lore info they decided to include at the end of episodes now. :)

for a little while now i had a theory that the world government would use a buster call to destroy raftel if they ever found out where it was, to get rid of all the hopes and dreams of pirates. after watching this now i think if they don't use the buster call they'll use whatever the heck that thing was.
Fun fact, the person who sang the 1st ending sang ending 20.
In Roger's time the fourth road Poneglyph was on Fishmen Island but is now missing.

To fix a misconception. They were already planning to destroy the island because the people revolted. Sabo being there was just bad luck for him. Also, they don’t want people to know about Imu because they been lying to the whole world for years basically

You're thinking about the manga panel for the Lulusia scene where it only showed 16 beams of death. It's probably not related since the anime showed many more beams of light and Oda tends to be very vocal when there's a need to portray something accurately in the anime. Also, it's not hell bullets, it's Holy bullets (16 Holy Bullets: God Thread).
