So I have a question. I’m going to purchase one of these lasers.. in your opinion what’s a better laser the ple mini 520nm 1W or the ple mini 532nm 500w ? I cannot decide between these two and there both the same price.
Same problem with me and if you get 1w 520 nm you need 10x beam expander because of high divergence I will go with 1w 520 nm its a litle bit more visible than 500 mw dpss 532 and 1w 520nm better at burning than 500mw dpss lasers has realy sensitive to heat difrences you cant use them to under 15 celcius
@@Ganymede3310 You don't really need the beam expander. The 520nm's divergence isn't THAT high, it should be around 1.5-2mrad when properly focused. Anything above 3W 445nm (NDB7875 diode) or 2W 465nm (M462 diode) has a much higher divergence tho, that's when the beam expander would be worth it.
Yes it is. Good question. If the beam is going somewhere safe, the beam itself is totally safe to look at with the naked eye. Same with the dot , beyond a few feet of distance. Imagine welding. Just be careful when your goggles are off. One tiny BLIP of a reflective surface is all it takes. One FlickAdaWrist ... Be OVERLY prudent, always. Even years from now. Still be.
not really. If you focus it all the way out, you can get a thin stream of smoke from electrical tape, but thats about it. The Eleay is about 60-80mw, not really enough to burn things. If youre looking for a burner I suggest you get something in the 1W or greater area. Visit Laserpointerforums.com to learn more.
JetLasers? Yeah they were a little slow to reply to my email when i bought this particular unit, same day as i uploaded this video. But it showed up pretty quick from purchase. Theyre legit. Check Lpf for more info.
Mysticlambo I’m really considering buying it...having a hard time rapping my head around spending almost 300 dollars though...do you like it still ? Is it worth the 290? Would you buy it all over again if you had too ? How far would you say this thing can go in the dark?
@@Mark-oj7yt For me lasers are comparable to airsoft guns. Either you buy it and get your high off of it it being cool and having what you want but then within a week it's either you play with it every day or it just sits in your closet and you don't know what to do with it haha Edit: but will still always be cool though just not really worth hundreds of dollars besides being an impulse cool toy buy unless you actually have practical use of it.
How is the Mini's battery indicator? Does it do anything in particular? How does it indicate it's battery percentage?
You should have lifted the lasers above the carpet so the beams would have been more visible ...

Is it safe to look at the beam without goggles (the line itself ) say at night when star pointing?

Be easier to see if you had them off the floor. Most of what I see is on the carpet
hey I have the elay laser does it burn stuff I cant get mine to burn anything
