- Recorded during my journey from Helsinki to London, and from London to Helsinki. This is the full walking tour of the Helsinki Airport as I have tried to show how it looks like while you are in this airport. I traveled with Finnair from Helsinki to London and with Ryanair from London to Helsinki.
Helsinki-Vantaa Airport or Helsinki Airport is the main and largest airport in Finland. The airport is located in the neighboring city of Vantaa.
The airport is by far the busiest in Finland and the fourth busiest in the Nordic countries in terms of passenger numbers. About 90% of Finland's international air traffic passes through Helsinki Airport. The airport handled 21.8 million passengers in 2019, including 18.9 million international passengers and 2.9 million domestic passengers. On average, the airport handles around 350 departures a day.

Nowadays there is only one large terminal and one baggage reclaim area. So no one needs to worry about numbers anymore! If you are going downtown, the cheapest way is to take the train, which departs right underneath the terminal. The cheapest taxis charge 35 euros for the trip.
