- BuffZone's Brian Howell interviews Andy Rieckhoff of 1660 AM radio in North Dakota to talk about the Bison, who open the season at Folsom Field against the Colorado Buffaloes on August 29. #coloradofootball #cubuffs #deionsanders #coachprime
Brian you are a professional in every sense of the word. Humble and welcoming. A great ambassador for buffs football. It’s always a pleasure to listen to your interviews! Thank you for your work!
I can’t be mad at this guy. He’s a true fan of his University.sadly. NDSU isn’t getting last years Buffs.. these Buffs are a Monster.
5 wins this year?
Only if those guys play together, team chemistry is everything.
The Bison are 17 time National Champions! They will come to play!
NDSU guy talking with that same swag TCU fan base was talking the same time last year 😏
TCU does not have the same pedigree as NDSU. This is well deserved confidence!
@@SurferBoye3000 Yeah youre right! It wasn’t like TCUs entire coaching staff and percentage of its teams players didn’t just come off a magical big 12 championship ship game run and a win in the CFB playoffs on the way to a FBS natty birth! Boy what was I thinking when I typed this 🤦🏾♂️🥴🥱
I know pretty much nothing about North Dakota football. So I apprecciate this interview, very informative.
This NDSU reporter is basing his confidence off of what they did against MSU and UM last season. Both teams have trenches that are 40-80 pounds lighter than CU on average
North Dakota State has been a football factory for twenty years or so. The coach may be new to the roster but is solid gold to the program.
@@michaellemaire9116 solid gold for FCS. It's built to get stomped on by a Power 4 team
@@SamJohnson-rh8rr Colorado is power 4? They barely crack the top 10 in the Big 12.
@@SamJohnson-rh8rr What are you even talking about? Every starter on Montana's OL was over 300 pounds last year. The one thing these good FCS teams have are good OLs--with FBS size.
Thank you for your information and research. I do appreciate you.
Nice Brian, Love to hear these previews they are awesome. Wish he would have maybe shared a little more toward his opinions of there opponent.
Great and a very insightful interview fellas!!!
A couple things that make NDSU so tough is that every week they get the very best effort from the teams that they oppose and they're always playing in post season games where it's do or die.
42-17 CU. NDSU strength is running but CU has tanks on the DLine now. CU has NFL talent at multiple positions. If NDSU can't cover or get to Shedeur, it's going to be a loooooooong night 😂
If he threw for 500 against TCU with bad oline no run game just imagine now with 5 good wrs and a legit line and run game long night for NDSU...
@@LA-011 The longest lol....Shedeur tells people when he has time to prepare for a team, he tears them apart.
FACTUALS and the OL ain’t playin tht bs this yr and NDSU DL small asf
@@bangwithcamino693 third and fourth string will see a lot of evaluation time, no disrespect to NDST but man it will succ for them that night 63-7 CU
@d3mist0clesgee12 lol what a terrible score prediction
Every team is only as hood as it's mistakes. Looking forward to watching this one.
If NDSU had CU's current roster, they would be the favorites going into the game and this guy would have said, "there's no way NDSU loses this season". NDSU may when the FCS title, but it won't be an undefeated season LOL. Salute to Brian for welcoming and respectable host that listened to his guest spew his delusion.
To put a finer proof point of how NDSU came through in clutch situations: The game winning drive of the Iowa game included a 29-yard pass (to RJ), a 29-yard run, and a 4th down conversion by Easton Stick to set up a game-winning 37-yard FG by Cam Peterson. This has been largely (and deservedly) credited to coach Jim Kramer and his strength and conditioning program. If NDSU can figure out a way to be in the game late, it'll be a barn burner.
NDSU will be tough. Anyone who suggests otherwise is in for a surprise. I expect Colorado to win, but I am not overconfident.
NDSU is getting strangled. 😂 Shedeur put up 500 in an opener vs TCU. What do you think he will do to them?! NDSU doesn't have the trenches they used to have or the QBs. CU is going to make an example out of them, to set the tone for their season.
@@bangwithcamino693 I’m betting 500 on this game with -7.5 to -20
If CU comes into it with the right mindset the final score will not be close
You could've said that if Carson Wentz was your qb... these are not those days buddy.....cu rolls 56-3 😂
If the defensive line plays to their potential the edges will eat all day. NDS does not have a secondary that can cover our top 6 receivers. So it boils down to CU coming out swinging, knowing that they are every other teams Natty game and Pat Shurmer not EFF’n it up with the play calling. I never underestimate anyone, but if CU plays like they should, it’s gonna be a long day for NDS.
Great 👍 idea, speaking with the opposition 😮
Our host, asks EZ questions to blabber mouths and lets them blather.
He does this with lots of people.
@michaellemaire9116 why not? It's an interview. Be friendly and keep them talking
Enjoyed the video.
i’m excited for our defense
Speaking with the ops.
Andy mentions how the Bison can make it to the fourth quarter and win because they’re so well conditioned. We’ll see how that’s going to work for them at 5400 feet of altitude. Better teams than NDSU have been gassed by the 4th quarter in Boulder.
Teams with much more depth and size have failed in Boulder.
conditioning is good here. we were fine in the montana mountains back to back weeks last year. #research
@@stefanming6513 neither Bozeman nor Missoula are even close to Boulders elevation dude.
@@stefanming6513 : You have no idea what you’re talking about. Only Bozeman is close to Boulder in elevation, and NDSU was there in December and won by ONE POINT to MSU. If it’s a hot August night in Boulder, I don’t care how good the conditioning is. I have seen world-class athletes pass out from altitude sickness in Boulder. 5200 feet of elevation, warm temperatures and a team that is significantly better than MSU, and NDSU could be in for a very long night. And I wouldn’t say you were exactly “fine” in Missoula…..Montana won that game (and at only 3200 feet of elevation).
@@Ninjabob42069 Using last year as the metric when it was by far our worst season in over a decade is an insane way to look at it. But NDSU is used to showing those who have no clue what they are talking about. See you week 1.
No way in hell CU will get upset by NDST this is a blowout 🙂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Absolutely. They beat Iowa. Whoopty whoop.
@@TheIkeman74 A lot of bravado for a team that finished last in the Pac 12.
@@Mind-Over-Body your point? Last time I checked NDSU is not in the Pac 12. Claiming to be the tallest midget still means you're under 4ft. Sorry if that hurts your feelings
@@Mind-Over-Bodyndsu hasn’t beating a fcs school since 2016
I think cu will win but I think some of you don’t know how good ndsu really is
Wish the Buffs played them in NDSU but this about to be a blowout
Good stuff! #skobuffs
CU way bigger and way better than last year CU.but I know every team will play harder against CU.So CU have to come with their A+ team because of the other teams just don’t want to lose to CU
NDSU beat three teams ranked in top 20 at time, Kansas State, Iowa and Iowa State on the road. All those fans at time said no way a FCS team can beat them. Last year I would say NDSU would upset them but Colorado is very talented but unproven. Should be an interesting game and think Colorado fans who think easy win will be surprised
Cant underestimate any opponent
NDSU Is a Legendary program
Buffs better be ready for a huge fight Game 1
Hey. We respect your program.y’all don’t respect the Buffs..so trust you will get our best.welcome to 2024.
@@Coachspeak85 no I'm saying, I am a huge Buffs fan.
It's the mindset you need to be dominant.
If you assume danger is always present, you are alert and ready at all times.
If no danger is sensed, then you are relaxed and careless like we saw last year especially in Stanford game.
The only ones who can get away with a more carefree approach are HOF individuals who beat anyone any given day. You can count those on one hand.
The rest have to buckle up and be prepared to throw down each and every day every single quarter
@willh69 understood. From my coaching background ( over 30 yrs experience) I've seen many opponents like NdSU, and seen programs being rebuilt like Colorado. Like NDSU ,Colorado once was a powerhouse they actually have 2 College titles 1989,1990. I don't buy into hype nor do I underestimate an opponent ever. This is gonna be an Epic game. Look at the matchups...kid vs kid...dont let the media fool you about Coach Sanders and his staff. He has 3 legendary mentors. COACH Bowden( FSU ) Coach Switzer( Oklahoma) and his newest Coach Saban( Alabama) .all of these guys Influenced the way he coaches football. Coach Sanders knew what he had last year. He told the world " you better get me while you can" don't be fooled by they Coach Prime hype( that brings Intrest and money to the University) they know what they are doing in Colorado...look at the matchups, look at how the kids practice. Ignore the media... it's going to be a great game.

I can tell he doesn’t understand how physical and tough this Buffs team will likely be. If this was vs the 2023 team I can totally see them outwilling CU, I just don’t see it with this current team
NDSU is entirely too small in the trenches.. 45-10 CU
63-7 CU, no disrespect but lets be real
Too much speed for them
@@d3mist0clesgee12 I doubt NDSU has that lopsided a loss in our entire history. It absolutey is disrespect and its at least as delusional as Coach Prime is in every moment of his entire life, and that's saying a lot. I hope it bites the Prime-ates as bad as you deserve. CU couldn't beat almost any team in our entire conference 63-7, let alone one of the top 2 dogs. Humility will be served to that score even if we don't win.
@@michaelrudolph7003 maybe not 63-7 but probably 56-7,

@@bigslam9185 Bro, NDSU, when they beat FBS schools, they had NFL players on their roster. CU will have a better "everything" than them. Livingston is going to unleash the front 7 and make NDSU throw. lol Preston and Travis could both have INTs.
bros just yappin
If CU can stop the run consistently, sb a good one. If not, 5th yr QB, experienced team could be a problem
They lost one of their top receivers
it's the line play
Buffs should win this, if they play to their capabilities. However, they’re not heavy favs (-8.5) because NDSU is a solid program, well coached and can out scheme tougher opponents. This spread should increase as we get closer, I can see a lot of Buff fans giving up the points and betting heavy, by end of August. If it gets to 10, I’m taking the points, Buffs win but not a blowout.
56-10 CU wins
@@Cornell973-tw4qrI can see that happening too. But I wouldn’t give 9 pts away on a bet. Either way, they’re winning this game.

The last time they beat an FBS team was in 2016. They are well-coached and fundamentally sound, but CU has too much firepower.
They could win by 7 or 21 points, but they will win.
We've played 1 FBS team since then, which was last year, our worst team in a decade, and we should have won. Keep coping.
Two weeks to go; may the best team win. I will be an NDSU fan after the game, regardless of the outcome.
NDSU is not to be played with. CU better be on their ish cause NDSU will come ready to play all 4 Quarters 🏆🏈

Worry about the 2 nd game🌽🌽👊🏻
"He brings energy" that oughta do it. Buffs roll 49-13, bison gimmicky offense might hold up for quarter and maybe a half. Defense has no chance against this Buff offense.
