I am Sri Lankan although having lived 50 years in the Scotland. I visited Negombo in the 60s what surprised me this time were the Number of Catholic Churches. 90 % of the population are Catholics. I visit l every 2 years this is the 1st time I stayed over in Negombo. Aurora lagoon Front and Beach Apartments are the ones I stayed at. If in Colombo I highly recommend Marino Beach on Marine Drive.
