It Looks like a laser pointer told them coodinates and then they told there coordinates to an artillary unit .. why not just binoculars with a laser coordinate readout and a radio

In Real war, your man or commander would stunned and unable to execute such thousands of functions in your system while having heavy cross fire with enemy. Humans vs AI or Fear vs Intelligence. You would rather train to be fearless and built autonomous system.
