Good comparison video mate! I was really betting that the HW casting would beat it terribly! But what a suprise, with a litte lube and wheel sanding it came around for such a lightweight. Hope all is well! Cheers!
Great comparison/test video and excellent information exchange. Have to be careful with knock offs. So many companies out there trying to compete with HW and MBX but sadly fall short in many areas, most notably to me are the difference in the wheels and materials used building them. Maisto and Action Force come to mind. Nice detail on them but 99.9% of them are shit for racers. But this 1 did alright after a lil tlc. Totally enjoyed and appreciated. Mahalo brah. "Keep your roof to the Sun". Mahalo! 🤙🏽
Oh when I saw SKYWAY in the title my brain immediately went to something else in diecast racing Ewww a scant 20 something gram weight in the knock off, gave me a gross feeling there. On top of that it had close to MBX wheels. Took a bit of wrench time but you found some speed in it Marc! Cheers for the video and exposing this brand 💯😎🏁
@@cutrockr-diecastracing2773 "be original" Well, there is this one brand that aesthetically is _trying,_ perhaps. You've heard of Circuit Samurai Diecast? Been seeing photos on Reddit and some vids here on YT. Have no idea how they run, they are at least visually entertaining
I looked at others and they too were pretty much direct copies of some of the HWs fantasy castings, and looked cheaper than cheap, but were not cheap! Thanks
Hey Fred! I have not pulled apart yet. The base feels like aluminium to me, or some light metal. Yeah, I wondered about the axles, but being such a cheap knock off one would think the axles would be normal, but who knows?
They have HotWheels knockoffs here at the local $2 shop. Hot Moka is their name and they are 100% trash Interesting that your one went faster after a wheel sand . Great video, and thanks for the heads up on buying knockoffs
Interesting video 📹 👍👍
@@nafex3740 Thanks
The knockoff truck did really well! Great video man!
@@MD3RACING better than expected, for sure!

I like that the windows are closed. Perfect casting to mod.
@@cashmoneyboys4628 Good point, and yes, when the op comes mod it!
Enjoyed that. Interesting comparison and the cheapo showed a lot better than I thought it would. Thank you sir!
Thanks Dale! Hope all is well!
Thanks for showing, Marc, I learnt something new today 🥂
Cheers, hope all is well! Your performance levels have taken off lately, good one!
Oh WOW!, my bet was on yellow. That last race shows a lot. SST thanks you for this.
@@sstdiecastracing2372 a little work on other factors works wonders!

that was a surprise. ✌🏽

Great comparison 👍
Never seen Skyway before. Nice video mate 👍 5:46
@@bigkeg9173 At Toymate, but....
@cutrockr-diecastracing2773 ok, I'm miles from one of them and last time I went there the diecast section was a disgrace lol
@@bigkeg9173 Yes, for some time I would have to say whoever runs their diecast section has no idea at all. Cheers

Thanks for the input. Yeah these to look at, would be third rate. But went ok for what it is, however, not cheap for what you get!

That featherweight truck showed itself well. Anything under 25 grams moving like that is impressive.

Nice! Thanks for sharing! I wonder if it uses upgraded axles like the hot wheels color change vehicles! Does it have a metal base? Nice track too BTW!

@cutrockr-diecastracing2773 ill find a couple of these "fakes" and send them your way 🤣 You could do a Knockoff Drag Tournament
Not all that bad for an imposter. It looks like the base has screws in it instead of the typical "rivet". Thats a major plus in my book
Very observant Steve! Yes it has screws. (But I have not pulled apart at this point.
