Seeing LA Knight from his days as Eli Drake from TNA to NWA. He finally got his big moment!! Also Damien vs Gunther felt like a black & gold NXT match to me. Good show

Last night at 43 yrs old I got to fulfill a child hood dream and a bucket list item.
There in person w/my GF,my son and his stepdad.... Greatest night of my life honestly.

In my town
Me and my son with a perfect blend of our individual lives.
But the highlight for me was the 8 yr old next to us that was just fully invested in it.... Made me see younger me and just completed the night for me.

Same! Myself and my son attended. My first "Big 4" PLE/PPV. His 2nd ever show - just attended Raw a few weeks ago. He's hooked and im reliving my childhood through his eyes and love of wrestling

Yeah how funny that someone as seasoned as Orton would have such a brain fart. Pretty dumb that he and KO didn’t run out together also. Them coming out separately, to their freakin themes even, hurt the presentation more than helped it. Them attacking Solo was also pretty dumb. They should’ve only attacked the Tongas, as to not bury Cody. I guess that wouldn’t matter though, since Roman completely buried Cody at the end anyway. Roman also could’ve added so much more tension by taking it slow and making us wonder whom he was there to help. But instead, he just slid right in, destroyed Solo and left him for dead, making Cody look like a chump. 🤦🏻♂️

I became a huge fan of him
Priest will get another run . I always viewed this one as him holding the belt warm until the summer, which is what it was, but he also showed growth as a guy that can main event a show going forward.

I was on the floor at Summer Slam. The pops were so loud!! I consider it a perfect show. Everything that happened needed to happen whether it’s who people wanted to win or not. Well done!!

I was there, it was awesome and I loved all the matches, especially Knight vs Logan. I am glad that Bron was given the big win, as well as Gunther getting his moment.

Honestly, The CM punk versus McIntyre match was nothing but pure chaos and I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. Seth Rollins as a ref was pure perfection😊

What a great show , I mean really, even the "predictable stuff" is stuff you WANTED to see happen lol, Heel dom turning Heel again was genius hilarious lol, Punknk Macintyre with Seth completely delivered, My guy LA knight gets that US belt, Gunther Priest was a BANGER, loved Damian choking Finn at the end instead of wanting towin, so betrayed, so hurt to notice, amazing, and of course, THE RETURN OF ROMAN BABY!!!
This was one of the best damn PLEs that they've done. I loved every bit of it. I was yellin at them the entire time😂😂😂. Loooooved it.
Edit--It might be worth sayin hubby and kids were lookin at me funny. But they always do when i watch.
Gotta say, I mainly watch WWE PLEs while I follow AEW weekly. As someone who mainly tunes in to PLEs, they really do feel like mini-movies compared to a sports event and I think it's so clear how different a product WWE and AEW are to one another. Glad we can have both ^_^

I Just Witnessed a pop for Roman. And Dom betraying Rhea. LA as United States Champion. This was a great Pay Per View.
Wrestlemania had six out of nine title changes. Summerslam has four new champions (and Gunther, Bron Breakker, and LA Knight are holding their titles for the first time), there was the return of Roman, a swerve with Dom and Liv, Finn Balor turned on Priest, and Cody's epic title run continues... Drew's big win should put him in line for a title opportunity against Gunther.
Summerslam 2024 was a true 'reset'. There was a lot of evolution in storylines and we're just 2 months away from the next Survivor Series War Games - Bloodline versus Bloodline could be the main event.

What is fun about the Punk bracelet is that it works as a metaphor.
The bracelet is time with his wife and dog, his ability to be at home and retired.
And look who is taking it away from him, the guy he has to beat to get back on track professionally.
The idea that his desire to hold onto his home life while still being a celebrity and out on the road is keeping him from winning and it is something that is being used against him is good writing.
I was actually a bit surprised.
1. I thought Liv would win because of dom but didn’t think he would straight up turn on Rhea
2. Didn’t actually think Roman would return
3. I was so sure punk was gonna win. And honestly I don’t particularly like how they handled it.
Hell, I knew Roman was coming. This is why the Bloodline Rules stipulation.
No one had known Roman was coming back, people was booking at and that's just guessing, predicted it, but it wasn't fact.
The referee cam is so cool! I can’t wait to see more of it. It would be cool if they do an alternate feed almost like the NFL where we can flip back and forth. With them moving to Netflix it would be cool if they can implement that. It’ll make rewatching moments even cooler. Plus being able to see what the ref sees when there are questionable calls would be cool. Like seeing what the ref saw during the Gunther vs. Priest match would be super cool.
Interesting that both Bayley to Belly and Blue Thunder Bomb can be abbreviated to BTB.. and neither move ever finishes a match!

The Bayley to Belly used to win matches all the time before she changed her finisher to the Rose Plant.
True, she’s only been using the Rose Plant since turning heel. I just think it would be a touch more entertaining not knowing exactly which move/s are going to ‘finish’ a match. Would be nice to see signatures end matches a little bit more often 🤞🏻
There's evidence that people who have had amazing movies spoiled for them actually want to see them even MORE. So even if you see a plot twist coming, it's just as you said, you still just gotta see it.
I watch the shows by myself sometimes too . Since WrestleMania I got my friends watching PLE's with me and last night was GREAT . Simon if you ever watching alone you were always here for us so we here for you .
Loved Summerslam! The entire show was great. WWE should do a ladder match for CM Punks bracelet! Would've loved to see Heyman come out with a returning Roman Reigns, like Paul Bearer did with Undertaker back in the day! ☝🏾

Seth been looking stupid since before WrestleMania Seth got hit by punk and just left after the match instead of returning the favor by curb stomping him at the very least
The issue with the WHC match was that, after Priest hit the South of Heaven, he rolled Gunther closer to the ropes. It was an even more obvious botch than the missed 3 count at MitB.
I don't think that was a botch, more Gunther just wasn't positioned correctly. He should've rolled over on his own because it makes sense trying to get closer to the ropes when you're about to get pinned

Dominic turned heel as an already established heel and siding with Liv Morgan was a good swerve I saw coming from 2 weeks ago. Sami Zayn losing to Bron Breaker was disappointing, but it was worth it and I was ecstatic when LA Knight became US champion. Gunther vs Damien Priest was a good match but I wasn't ready to see Gunther as the champion since I don't like his character. Cody being saved by Roman Reigns wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Here's hoping that Nia has a good run this time as women's champion.

You know, I found it very interesting how in the after show, pretty much everybody was a babyface. Lots of humility, especially from Nia and Bron. The only real exception was Drew who further cements his spot in the hater of the year rankings (although I still think Chad Gable is a worse person than Drew - the whole 50s Dad "this is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you" thing was really low).
Apart from that, it was a really great show. No really big surprises (apart from the expected ones, so they weren't that surprising) but all in all great matches, very entertaining and oh my, are we set up for stories to come.
The comment about Arn giving a gun and shooting Solo should definitely go on the crime counter 😂. Also, it sounded like to me Simon had said that the new version of Judgement Day is going to rise up from the asses, not ashes 😂.
I think it would be great if it came out that Finn and Dom were playing the long con from before they both joined Judgement Day and they were absolutely destroyed and bullied week after week by Rhea and Damian before they finally joined them and just took their time to wait for the right moments to destroy Judgement Day from the inside. Idk though maybe they'll have diff reasons tomorrow night.
