First hearing that on the radio, and knowing Page and his studio history, figured it was tuning. I spent lots of time doing bends never getting it right. Anything that makes you play more, good idea.
I have to admit, I've been playing around with electric guitars for 40 years and I was ignorant to what a B Bender was. Thanks for educating me. Learn something new every day! Cool
That B-bender tele really was an enigmatic tool in Jimmy Page’s arsenal. #skiffleboy How many of us struggled to cop those weepy, soulful bends with our fingers, to no avail... great lesson. 🎸👍🏾
how the "f" did i miss this one...thanks again dave! learned something again...interesting, not a difficult song to play, but quite difficult to capture the, ah, "flavor", i guess....
This is well done thanks. The bender was used as the last guitar on overlay for comps. If you find the original outtake version you will find he does almost 2 minutes of amazing noodling with the b bender as a coda that were cut in the final version. Strongly recommend it as you know and appreciate the style
I've a theory that Waddy's signature lick on "Lawyers Guns and Money " cannot be done without a B-bender. By the way Marty Stuart owns the original. He says C White got to where he'd lift his shoulder rather than push down on the guitar. Because it was cooler.
Dave can you tell me what the Nut Size is on your Warmoth neck of the B-Bender Tele? Also did you have to modify the body for the base of the neck? I too am a fan of a wider neck for the Tele, it just feels better.... Great Guitar by the way and thank you for posting...
Dave, I'm a year late to the party but you are a big, lovable mess! Why on Earth did you swap the bridge plate for an ashtray jobby? I'm not going to arm wrestle you over the choice...but 🤔
According to Carl Verheyen, the guitarist from Supertramp, the metal of the plate alters the magnetic field of the pickup surrounded by that plate. By changing the plate, you are altering the field, and it affects the tone. Kind of like how a metal core in a coil either strengthens or weakens the magnetic field. So right or wrong, the authentic Telecaster tone is with the original bridge plate.

Would you be interested in covering Jimmy Page's solo in the extended bootleg of All of my Love? Or even Darlene?

Hey there, quick question with b bender you have std b string. when you activate bender is the string going to a C or C#. thanks
You can make it a half step, whole step or minor 3rd. Mine is set a whole step to C#
Nice work.
Thats sounds sweet kool ass guitar
Good job, finally a video with the correct way to play the song!! Most of the guitar covers are wayyy off....
Now I wanna hear a pedal steel twangy country version of the Zeppelin song. heh
😂 Hey, did I hear a little Merle Haggard in there? Also, I know this is a guitar channel, but would love to see you do some bass! Slap it!
Dave,

To me the ashtray, is the proper bridge for a telecaster. Not some steel plate with saddles.
