She could have been wrong, because people were not accurate about age (only a few decades ago did everyone start recording their birth dates and age) But even if she was correct, it does not matter, age is not the criteria for marriage. The criteria are physical and mental maturity, agreement from both parties about the marriage and no harm must be done. Her marriage fulfilled all of these.

@@captainobvious6070 I think the age of 9 stems from the hadith narrated by Aisha (r.a) herself, where she claimed her age was 9 during consummation. She could have been wrong, because people were not accurate about age (only a few decades ago did everyone start recording their birth dates and age)
But even if she was correct, it does not matter, age is not the criteria for marriage. The criteria are physical and mental maturity, agreement from both parties about the marriage and no harm must be done. Her marriage fulfilled all of these.
