"Silently the senses abandon their defenses" at this part my heart got tingles idk why. His aura gives me the chills. Ramin Karimloo is the best phantom ever!
If we're talking about our favorite parts of the song, mine is when he sings "Turn your face away from the garish light of day, Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light" So perfect
And to think he has never taken any vocal lessons and cant read music but his voice like an instrument. Especially the last note. Notice how his voice blends with the soft music and it just becomes one. Like holy sh*t Ramin. Good looks, that godly voice, that super acting, the charm and personality. Save smth for us too man
I love Ramin Karimloo's version of Music of the Night. So pretty, haha I remember the first time I heard this I was completely moved. Can't stop listening to this after about 3 years.
Rubyhollor W He's gliding on high notes and low notes effortlessly, his breathing almost can't be heard. And his acting was very subtle but deep. Like when he put his hand above his heart at "You alone can make my song take flight" to show he's madly in love with Christine.
TheMsiaddict I just listened, I prefer Karimloos. To me, he puts more emotion, it's soft, but can change to powerful. I like Matthew's but I think is amazing.
Rubyhollor W Matt Cammelle is subtle, he didn't act big like Ramin. Just like The Opera Ghost that The Phantom supposed to be. His Phantom almost didn't show the emotions, but if you look at the gestures, you'd know that he's madly in love with Christine but at the same time he's unsure about the foreign feeling and overwhelmed by it. And he won't allow Christine to touch his mask. Rachel Barrell was an interesting Christine. She was not frightened by him and this naughty girl wanted to remove the mask in MOTN. She was smitten by the suave mysterious half masked man.
This is the best version ever! I love the feminine version of the song, in the voice of Sarah Brightman, but the feeling Ramin puts on the song is priceless
I still have hangover from the full performance posted by Show Must Go On, been looking for the songs sang by Karimloo, Boggess and Fraser. The best cast IMO
I'd love to be able to watch this again... But like live. One day when I have money and a job. I'll be able to watch this that's a promise to myself...
My favourite song from my favourite musical of all time, definately Andrew Loyd Webbers best work. I've been lucky enough to see Phantom twice on stage, the first time was the touring production which was pretty impressive then the second time I finally got to see the London production during Ben Forsters run as the Phantom last year on a weekend trip to London with my cousin & best friend for my 30th birthday. It was every bit as beautiful as I imagined it would be especially during Music of the Night & Ben Forster made a great Phantom, definately in my top four actors in the role along with Ramin Karmiloo, John Owen Jones & Gerard Butler.
TheMsiaddict I've been a Phantom fan for a considerable amount of time, so as you might guess I've seen a plethora of videos pertaining to the show. While I don't disagree with you on the fact that Matthew Cammelle is a spectacular Erik, and that you are entitled to your opinion, I have to say commenting on a video not pertaining to Mr. Cammelle, saying he is a gorgeous singer, and disregarding the talent of Mr. Karimloo irritates me! Now, I'm not saying you need to like Mr. Karimloo, but if you love Mr. Cammelle so much, go watch one of his videos instead! I also say this for all fans- if you are wanting to spread your opinion on a certain artist, do it on the video featuring them. I would like to finally see one comment section that isn't comparing artists, by saying one is better than the other!
IsrafelScarletRaven I didn't say this version was like a pop ballad, the other people said it. But I was curious enough to listen to it. I guess they're right. Maybe because Ramin was nervous or because he's untrained, he tends to fall into pop ballad tunes, especially in the high notes.
Although Karim is amazing I personally prefer John Owen Jones' version of this song. Just the right amount of mystery and seduction. I feel Karim's version is a little rough in some parts. But that's just me lol
I have a story to tell you all. My name is Amya and I am 17 years old. For my 16th birthday. My step dad and my mom, had taken me to see the Phantom of the Opera for a late birthday present. It was in Rhode Island. At first I didnt realize that they were taking me. Because my mom gave me a black card and in the inside, it had a half mask and a rose and the date. Stupid as I was. I didn't get it. They had to tell me. When they did. I just screamed with joy. That I finally get to see my favorite play. It was the best experience I have ever had in all my seventeen years! And if I could turn back the clock. I would love to go back to that day. Seeing Phantom of the Opera in front of my face was so magical. ❤☺
This is absolutely to die for, and rAMIN DARLING, YOUR VOICE, but *how* did Christine ever learn to sing opera, with Erik as her teacher? He has the (most gorgeous) SMOOTHEST VOICE. He would've made a better pop star!
Best version ever of this song - and try once to sing it. It a very tricky piece because he has to hold that perfect tone in to very end. And to do a comparison with sport, it's like running that 800 m race, you are ready quit after 400 m and then you have to do that last round that absolutely sucks every molecule of oxygen out of you. For not being a Wagner opera tenor he does it amazingly well... ...and this is a live recording as oppose to the movie, which, to my taste never should have been carted that way
Although Karim is amazing I personally prefer John Owen Jones' version of this song. Just the right amount of mystery and seduction. I feel Karim's version is a little rough in some parts.
felize velario He can get a little loud and aggresive in some parts, but I love his performance. John Owen Jones' version is perfection, and I love his too.
A better pure singer than Michael Crawford, but juuuuust a little too much quaver and altered tone for my taste. Dynamic range is fantastic and the high notes pure. The money shot has a lot of power while remaining clean. Overall fantastic
I...prefer John Owen Jones, Colm Wilkinson and especially Michael Crawford for this number . Ramin certainly does get across the Phantom's aggression but this number is NOT the time to do it - The Phantom is trying to be majestic and hypnotise Christine - not bark out notes. "But Ramin has high notes!" "But Ramin is SO sexy!" "You just hate my baby Ramin!" "HE CAN SING IT BETTER THAN YOU AND HE IS SELF TAUGHT!!!" No shit, Phangirls! I can't even sing. I'm simply commenting my preference as a listener. His aggressive style isn't doing it for me here - his voice is amazing, I just dislike his style here. It works amazingly for Final Lair but that's about it. Sorry
You can hear him breathing too much. He's on the wrong note sometimes, and he's basically talking on some parts. Michael Crawford is much better in my opinion.
unpopular opinion: i don't like how he sings this song? sure, i enjoy his portrayal of the phantom but uhhh i just dont enjoy him singing the music of the night 😒
+Lacy Flora uh no hate? but i think it wouldve been better had he more control over his voice. maybe its because its live but i just think some parts are better than the rest and had it be less... shaky i would enjoy it more 😕
Rokken Robyn Halford yeah but i've heard quite a few recordings and live shows to say the opposite. a fair argument, but not correct in my own standards.
"Silently the senses abandon their defenses" FAVORITE PART . Idk I just love the way he delivers that part
SAME OMG
What about "Let your soul take you where you long to be!"?
Scott Hamp That too!
kaity kaaait SAME.
My favorite part is from 0:00-6:42
"Silently the senses abandon their defenses" at this part my heart got tingles idk why. His aura gives me the chills. Ramin Karimloo is the best phantom ever!
If we're talking about our favorite parts of the song, mine is when he sings "Turn your face away from the garish light of day, Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light"
So perfect
OMG SAME!
Me, I'd say when he sings "to BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
This man cannot be allowed to have this voice along with charm and great acting, as well as a great personality. Pick one, Karimloo!
his high notes are gorgeous😍
everything is gorgeous~
Darcy Pendragon
Too pop.
Did someone just say that Ramin's voice sounds pop? Wtf
TheMsiaddict you have no idea what you're talking about 😂😂
This 25th anniversary rendition made me cry. And I'm not ashamed of it.
Sujan Pariyar *Every version makes me cry.* No matter what.
And to think he has never taken any vocal lessons and cant read music but his voice like an instrument. Especially the last note. Save smth for us too man
I know, this guy is not human.
@@wonderlasting yes and here i am sounding like a dying cat being stranggled up and dragged in the middle of the road when i try to sing
And yet they let Gerard Butler play this role in the movie. This is a casting choice with no vocal training done right.
Wait what
@@FabzMTHblueLawliet yup
The best Erik.
Casey J finally someone uses his real name!!
mcrxliz what do you mean finally my lad! In my humble opinion, people who like this musical call the phantom Erik to much!
I love Ramin Karimloo's version of Music of the Night. So pretty, haha I remember the first time I heard this I was completely moved. Can't stop listening to this after about 3 years.
Rubyhollor W
If this is pretty, Matt Cammelle's version is just gorgeous and magnificent.
TheMsiaddict I don't think I heard his. I'll listen to it.
Rubyhollor W
He's gliding on high notes and low notes effortlessly, his breathing almost can't be heard. And his acting was very subtle but deep. Like when he put his hand above his heart at "You alone can make my song take flight" to show he's madly in love with Christine.

He is my favorite phantom actor!
the song is beautiful but the way he sings it is life-changing
0:23-0:39 gives me chills EVERY time I listen to this version. Talking about working the sound waves!
Sang with absolute perfection. I love Ramin's version more than Michael's version
You can't beet Michael Crawford but Ramins voice is up there with the greats.
Chelsea I back this statement up. I don’t care who doesn’t like it
My favorite part is 0:00-6:40
Same
That means u like the whole song
@@eljordinio7647 duh
Still my favorite phantom
His falsetto though 😍😍😍
0:23-0:29.... So beautiful.
"Silently the senses, abandon their defenses..."
I love the way he sings "To be!" And he held the note longer than he did in the West End
Best phantom ever
Fallout Guy
Matthew Cammelle.
He doea a great job with making this song creepy but gorgeous as the Phantom is depicted/is.
Ramin Karimloo's phantom is why i would 1000000/10 smash erik
This is the best version ever!
I love the feminine version of the song, in the voice of Sarah Brightman, but the feeling Ramin puts on the song is priceless
I think this song, Music of the night is one of the best songs that can show Ramin Karimloo's charming voice.
Nobody can sing, "Let your soul take you where you looking to be!" better than Ramin
Ramin's Voice Is Life!!!!!!!!
They best phantom. That voice is out of this world utterly beautiful
he should of been cast as the phantom in the film in 2004
I don't know if you know, but Ramin was actually in that movie....he is Christine's dad
And he would have been great.
👍👍👍👍👍
buddachris45 i did not know that. know i know!
ramin was in the 2004 movie but as christines father.
2018 movie with Mr Ramin Karimloo! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Still the greatest performance in musical theatre in recent times. Incredible
RAMIN KARIMLOO is asdfghjkl-. He really gave justice to the phantom
My favourite song from my favourite musical of all time, definately Andrew Loyd Webbers best work. Oh, so that's what sex sounds like
Lmao probably
"You alone can make my song take flight
Help me make the music of the night"
Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar...and you'll live like you have never lived before...
I've watched the 25th anniversary in a total of 15 times in less than a year and the part at 6:10 always scares the shit outta me
my favorite phantom of all time.
The absolutely best phantom to ever step on stage.
his voice melts me gorgeous man xxxx
I love his voice! It’s so mesmerizing!
came back after watching the free online 25th anniversary version ^^ this is the best version of the song i couldnt get out of my head
he will always be my favourite phantom.
Ramin Karimloo, a genius for the ages
Silky smooth, yet powerful. Easily my favorite Phantom.
Best phantom ever. Oh the voice

The magical voice belongs to Matthew Cammelle.

I know. It's irritating, right? Even in his video, his irritating fans still mentioning RK. That's why I came here.
TheMsiaddict Oh, I see. And yes, it gets extremely irritating!
IsrafelScarletRaven
I didn't say this version was like a pop ballad, the other people said it. But I was curious enough to listen to it. I guess they're right.
Maybe because Ramin was nervous or because he's untrained, he tends to fall into pop ballad tunes, especially in the high notes.
Best part for me is that pause and obvious sigh before “only then can you belong to me”
Love this song 😍
Ramin is my favourite phantom 😍
I can't believe he was first Raoul and didn't at first get picked for the phantom till after the tour
I figured that perhaps he was too young back then? He is the youngest phantom afterall
Who was originally casted as the phantom ?
Tegan Boyer Wait really?
He was Christine's father before he got the role of Raoul then he got the role of Erik.
@SereneJazz no, he's not. There's an actor who'd donned the mask and was 21
the best song sung by the best phantom
bravo~
John Fuentes wdym? Ramin is the best phantom ever!!!
John Fuentes
Matthew Cammelle has the best Music of The Night. The classic operatic version.
Thatperformer387
That would be Matthew Cammelle. Subtle and deep.
Thatperformer387 Peter Hofmann was the best
Although Karim is amazing I personally prefer John Owen Jones' version of this song. Just the right amount of mystery and seduction. I feel Karim's version is a little rough in some parts. But that's just me lol
im so sad this is no longer on netflix :(
Dreygon Pure ikr
They should've taken off shrek the musical of instead.
Dreygon Pure it's on amazon prime tho
I'm so sad i just found out it was ever on netflix
Just get the bluray, why suffer streaming low bitrate when they can snatch it away at any moment. Just own things.
The best version of MOTN with the best Phantom singing it

I couldn't find words to describe how I felt listening to this version but you summed it up perfectly
time 4:34 when he sings music of the night😍
Silently the senses abandon their defenses....
Perfection
he is my favorite Phantom
Erik, I will be the one who will make your song take flight *faint*
The Phantom ;)
Dillon Ohlemiller the phantom
Wow, this guy!
The phantom is suppose to have a hypnotic voice and honestly I feel like Ramon played the part well.

To much vibrato?? He is only of the only Oprah singers without it!!! Hahah he's the best out there right now!
Noah Snow
Too pop. Listen to Matthew Cammelle singing MOTN.
OPRAH SINGERS
Crap Bag YOU can make my song take flight! YOU can make my song take flight!! YOU CAN ALL MAKE MY SONG TAKE FLIGHT!!!!
😌😌😌💓💓
He s like the son of Anthony Warlow, very similar voice, but Warlow is even better
Shit now I want to be Christine
Gerard Butler played a very good Phantom
Although Karim is amazing I personally prefer John Owen Jones' version of this song. Just the right amount of mystery and seduction. I feel Karim's version is a little rough in some parts.

too much vibrato for me
Benjamin Parsons
Check Matthew Cammelle.
Beautiful version but a little too forced and he uses too much vibrato here. Michael Crawford's version is smoother, darker more seductive.
Sorry, but Ben Lewis is better. He has more controls of his low and high notes.
unpopular opinion: i don't like how he sings this song? sure, i enjoy his portrayal of the phantom but uhhh i just dont enjoy him singing the music of the night 😒
I respect your opinion. May I know what it is about it you dislike? :)
+Lacy Flora
uh no hate? but i think it wouldve been better had he more control over his voice. maybe its because its live but i just think some parts are better than the rest and had it be less... shaky i would enjoy it more 😕
Most Phantom is live...and maybe the vibrato bothers you, but that is like, a trait of operatic music lol.
star hoe
You're right, that would be Matthew Cammelle.
Rokken Robyn Halford yeah but i've heard quite a few recordings and live shows to say the opposite. a fair argument, but not correct in my own standards.
He has a beautiful voice but I can't really enjoy this version. I think Micheal Crawford sang it much better
