Add another vote for watching the rest of the season in the original Swedish. The actors do an admirable job with the English version, but you just don't get the same subtlety, nuance and emotion as you do when they're speaking in their native tongue.
The Swedish audio is definitely way better. And most of the people who are watching the reactions have already seen the full series (probably many, many times) so we know what they’re saying even if we can’t read the screen. One thing you’ve already noticed is the Young Royals is aimed at an older audience than Heartstopper and has a much more mature feel to it even though the characters are only a year older than Nick. And it is waaaaaay more angsty but it’s worth all the pain
The English dubs are the actors themselves doing it they all speak English, so it's their voice you hear, if you don't mind subtitles the Swedish version is great, I hope you react to the full season, you will love it I promise 😊
Love this show so much! ❤ Always happy to see someone reacting to it. I remember watching it one night, not expecting much except for some light entertainment. It completely took me by surprise! And I've become kind of obsessed with the actor of Simon (Omar Rudberg). He is an incredibly talented singer and such a sweet soul!
I don't even remember how I first found Young Royals. I was just scrolling when it first was released and remember the title just intrigued me so I just checked it out. Glad I did. Also, the original Swedish audio is far superior. No offense to the people who do the English dubs but they just never seem to choose people whose voices match the character
The dubs were done by the original actors. How can that not match the character? It's their own voice, just in English. I think maybe it's just because when they're doing the English dub, there's not quite as much emotion in it as the Swedish original. But yeah, it's the same person, same voice, either way.
@@TravisViews Most other reactors I've seen have done Swedish audio with subtitles and have received no complaints, though if you're genuinely worried about readability, one option is to add an additional window for just the (full-size) subtitles to the bottom of your screen.
It’s the breaking of the 4th wall in the very beginning title sequence that dragged me into this show. I have one more episode of season 2 left and I can’t bring myself to finish it yet. This is such a well done show.
so excited to see you react to this series, it's one of my faves (up there with heartstopper), it's good in both swedish and english, whatever you prefer :)
Wow, I haven't seen this one. I'm going to have to give it a go. I just have to decide if I want to watch the episodes before or after you react to them.💜
@@showmoke LOL it's been a while. I decided to watch an episode and then the reaction right afterward. Season 1 was great and I hear season 2 is due possibly next month.
Certainly it’s far better to watch this show with them speaking in their original natural Swedish language with English subtitles. You get a more natural feel to the whole show and their mouths line up with what they are actually saying. With this dubbed version, the whole thing is far less real and effective!
I have never liked to see things dubbed, I consider that the essence of the actor's work is lost, we lose knowing what his voice is like, how he intones the phrases, the words an Obviously we want you to continue watching this series,! but in the original language.
I really dislike the dub, it's just bad imo even if it is the original actors, it sounds just wrong. I dislike watching all sort of dubs though, like it removes a lot of emotion.
pls switch to swedish audio :)) its painful to watch you react to the english dub because you are just loosing so much of the characters and emotion in the original audio (the actors are all swedish do the voice acting is so much better in their native language). ive seen so many reactions using the swedish audio and subtitles and it really wasn't hard to understand
Heard you loud and clear. Next episode coming in Swedish with subtitles :)
Swedish audio with english subs right? ☺️
Yay!
100% please - it’s much more authentic hearing it in the original language with English subtitles.
Much better as in English the good acting doesnt come over as it does in OG

Netflix has the original Swedish audio. If you don’t mind subtitles, I recommend switching to the Swedish audio

Please continue watching this show it's so good
I just came from your Heartstopper reactions over to this channel and see Young Royals reactions and I'm here for it!! 🥰🥰😍👏

I feel like subtitles might be hard for a youtube edit … for people watching to read because its small.

the actors did the dub version too so it's not that bad, the original language is swedish
Travis, Please keep posting YR vids. This is a great show a bit darker than Heartstopper but still very good.
yay Young Royals! Let´s go!
Love it so far!
Please watch more! This show is so good!
I really wish they could have done 8 episodes instead of 6. There is A LOT going on this season!
Definitely agree the original Swedish is better. So glad you’re reacting to this, can’t wait to see the next videos
Seems like it’s going to be a great show. Oh Travis your reaction today was both funny and awesome!!!
Thanks ! I liked it a lot

its a swedish show. its better in swedish audio if you dont mind subtitles. this show is top tier btw.
I hope you can react to both seasons !! S2 is very good as well
Thanks for the video! Would love to see you react to SKAM, esp season 3!

Slightly different in this case though as it is the original cast who dubbed their lines in English.
@@discogareth really?
@@eduardobarria7181 yes. It makes it easier to be more believable that the actors really know their characters and can convey the emotions they speak.
@@discogareth god i didnt knew it. Thanx 4 the info. ❤️
@@eduardobarria7181 - yes, I think most young Swedes these days speak perfect English.
SWEDISH AUDIOOOOOO U WONT REGRET IT
