  • Train Goes Into Emergency / NS, CP, & CSX Lashup - Rochester, PA. In this video we went to Rochester, PA just north of the Norfolk Southern Conway Rail Yard. We decided to do a little bit of railfanning and we weren't disappointed. While a manifest began to go by, it wasn't long until you could hear the air line blow and the train come to a screeching halt when it went into emergency right in front of me.
    This train had a NS and CSX lashup up front and other passing train had a NS, Canadian Pacific, and CSX lashup on it. This is part 1 of 2 videos from that Sunday afternoon. Enjoy.

    Cool video! My dad worked for NS for 43 years. Was an engineer most of that time. I remember getting to go on an engine with him when I was a kid and go for a quick ride.

    Got 3 at once. This is definitely the most unique rail fan video you've done yet. And all by accident. Thank you for sticking it out through the repair. Noticed you're at 46K. Awesome.

    Looked like that NS Unit in the beginning was hurting and never seen a lashup like that before. So that is what happens when there is a emergency. Very interesting and have a good one. Thank you for the shout out on your latest live, I really appreciate it.

    Thanks for the shoutout to the Baden Bowl but that's actually the old Beaver Valley Bowl. Baden Bowl is a few miles down the Boulevard and is still open. I always enjoy your videos, especially the ones from Beaver County.

      Oh I know. LOL I said it wrong in the video. I keep wanting to bowl at Baden Bowl. With me thinking of the end of the train still being in the yard, I was thinking of Baden and that's how I just happened to say it. Lol

      @@WallieB26 I did laugh when you called it Baden Bowl, I knew you were aware of the name because of the awesome video you did inside the BV Bowl. I grew up in Baden and used to hangout at the Baden Bowl. I also used to hangout at Conway Lanes. The owner of Baden Bowl used to own Conway Lanes. Conway Lanes closed years ago. It was on 65 right across from the entrance to Conrail. There's a Rite Aid there now. Again, thanks for the videos. They bring back a lot of memories for me.

    And set your squelch not as tight when they let go of the trigger it should be quicker put Ur squelch like little less than half way up turn it all the way left then count to 4 when u turn it up wile Ur turning count to 4 sometimes it all depends where u are u might half to go like almost half way up on it but..I know a lot about scanners and electric stuff I'm a electronic's nut..

  • @anthonycoach4551
    @anthonycoach4551 2 года назад

    If u are by power lines a lot try putting aluminum foil on your antenna it might help some..if you wrap your antenna make sure u don't short the foil to the ground part that would be the little chrome thing on bottom of the antenna don't let it touch that it will improve your reception..

      @@ErikVince yah it kinda does help if you know how to wrap it around the antenna what it does is shield the electric pulse's sometimes it does kill the signel some but if you know how to wind it on it it will improve it..

    • @anthonycoach4551
      @anthonycoach4551 2 года назад

      @@ErikVince Erik here's another tip for scanner people when you program your frequency's in it always put your rail frequency's in number 1 then the second one in 4,,8 and so on this will pick up the frequency's faster and make sure you lock out your ones u don't have programmed the ones that have 0's this will eliminate lag you will see what I mean put number one as Ur main frequency the rail one u use by you then u can put a fire frequency in number 2 and 5 and like split them up space them out every 2 or 3 spaces...
