When you bought the Pan American instead of a brand that you sell, I figured there was obviously a good reason, and who better than a BMW mechanic to know why. Being an old timer, I'm just not into the complex machines. I just bump along on my Road King and enjoy the true soul of that wonderful motorcycle.
You will have rain. But starting Thursday thru weekend we get snow. You know blind eyes to YOUR motorcycle choices are not the only blind eyes in this country. Lol. But just look at it this way, you and I both know the amount of headaches your BMW move is gonna relieve you of. Ride off into the sunset with a grin on your face that can't be SCRAPED OFF!!! Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day😂
Nice test rip on the F900, nice bikes, but the maintenance costs to expensive for me. Interesting to see when BMW moves out of the showroom, who is gonna move in. Good stuff Smoak’s.
Each to their own, but my R1300GS is the best bike I've ever owned. I'll be looking forward to hearing what you have to say after the end of the month.
Evening Shawn, wow, I'm out of circulation for a little while, and things changed! So BMW is departing, are they? What's up with that bud? Gosh, that blows my mind. Well, anywho, you and momma have a pleasant evening and pet the puppers for me. God bless, Rob
A lot of folks on the uk forums & bmw facebook pages having trouble with corrosion , mine had it 2020 gsa . They replaced two cylinder heads & something else maybe crankshaft cover under warranty for me . But some not so lucky, think it depends on how good the dealer is to be honest
I have wanted a BMW for many years, but never been able to get one. Life just kept getting in the way. Now, I am supremely curious what you have to say about why you would never buy one.
Interesting 🤔🤔🤔 The sole reason I never purchased a BMW bike was the 2 dealers in Alberta are not the greatest. Edmonton dealer is definitely better than the Calgary one. But they just don’t seem to be as reliable as folks say so. I love my Triumphs and Aprilia and my new to,the shop the 2016 Indian Chieftain 🤓🤓🤓
You made me curious now! I can´t decide whether to buy a brand new F800GS or an Transalp, but now i think i´ll wait to hear what you ment....was planning to make a decision on saturday when i had planned to see the dealer, but i´ll guess i´ll wait a few weeks now 😊 I like the Honda Transalp for the quality, but i like the BMW most for the looks....hard decision anyway😖
@@centralcoastcruiser2084 Thank you so much for your reply, Sir! I will definately try it before i make a decision. I sold my -89 VT1100 Shadow 2 years ago, so it´s definately time to get on a bike again. Probably every bike is something totally new to me now, considering all that has happened since my last bike was built 36 years ago 😂
Wow! BMW did something against the grain to tick the owner off bad enough that they're tossing them out. This will likely upset your BMW customers who purchased a BMW because you guys sell and repair them and can warranty them. I'm sure you also purchased equipment that you may never use again and that's a bummer. Incidentally the 900 GSA is a beauty..
I have owned many BMW bikes. Would never buy another as BMW doesn't back their brand. One example, wheel hubs rusting on an RT 1200 after one year and was told it was "cosmetic"!

Nice bike. I don’t see how they can’t accept pictures on that “inspection”. That is so 90’s, LOL. Great vid as always! Be well Smoaks!
Nice test ride…memories for sure. Have a good one👍
I must have missed the video where you explain it by why did the dealership decide to stop selling and servicing BMW?
Motorcycle looks real good in black. Thank you for the video. Take care

I see we have a dealer in UK doing the same, Reiten Motorrad. I guess they are just getting fed up being told what to do and what to spend.
What gives the higer miles traveling at a constent speed high compression or low compression . which one would go the furthest ?
Lucky customer - that looks like a great bike.
I hit a recap while riding my '72 CB750, don't follow a semi to closely, lesson learned.

Is the shop picking up another brand now that BMW is gone? Looking forward to your real thoughts on BMW ‘next month’ 😎
So Pro Caliber is dropping BMW?
Yes they have. Just selling off what they have left.

Just fyi, I own a Transalp and love it. It's an a la cart bike but the price is good. Take a test ride. You'll love it.
