For those of you that don’t know what was with the Price one:
So Anderson’s (Kid’s name) mom died of Cancer a few months ago and she promised Anderson that she’d do anything to allow him to meet Price since he was such a big fan. Apparently he didn’t take his mom’s death well and he was really depressed. Anderson’s uncle knew an ex-trainer on Toronto and managed to get into them training in Toronto. After the experience Anderson’s aunt said that he was much happier. And this ladies and gentlemen, is why Price is my favourite player.
Edit: He also invited the boy to the Vegas All Star awards in 2018 and now also has his phone number. So pretty amazing stuff

I’m a 62 year old man and I’m literally crying after that Price segment. Hockey was my life when I was a kid. Such a great sport, such great athletes.

When Carey Price hugged that young kid...that was the absolute coolest thing I've ever seen a hockey player do (on a RUclips video). Even though I'm a Penguins fan...I'm an NHL hockey fan FIRST!! Wow that Price one almost had me in tears!!!!! Every one of these videos I've seen with him, he always goes that extra mile!!!! It's honestly why I continue to say The NHL is most humble and respectful league among the big 4. The players do so much to go out of their way and make their fans smile or happy in any way!!!! I've been a fan my whole life and that will never change!!!

@@TheeRustBucket Never hated Price. He's always been a worthy opponent. There's been Habs I absolutely hate, PK Subban for one, Mike Komisarek for another, the Kostitysn brothers also come to mind -- but never Price, he's too much of a warrior for a rival to fail to respect him.
hagamapama he's just a great man. In every interview pretty much or video, he's just being so damn good and I don't even mean his goaltending (which is also amazing.)

Chris Catalli a lot of MLB players do before every game they play. They play catch with fans and throw balls to people.
Same with NFL. And I've seen a lot of basketball players give away their runners after games (seen it for MLB and NFL too actually). There's a lot of generous athletes out there across all sports that take time for their fans.

I once met price in a outdoor shop called SAIL it’s in Montreal I was wearing my price hockey jerseys I was looking whit my head down a bow that I whanted to buy and I bumped into him I said sorry and I saw is face I froze for a second there he signed my jersey and we took a picture that... was a nice day

New England raised, lifelong Bruins fan and I HATE the Habs...Carey Price is the exception to the rule. The only Canadien I can tolerate wearing that awful jersey after the puck drops....That said, EVERY hockey player conducts themselves with absolute class when it comes to young fans and how they treat them as well as the countless things they do to help those far less fortunate or dealing with life threatening illness.

It's so nice for a kid to be picked out in a crowd and made to feel special. It's the sort of thing you remember forever.
This is why I am so passionate about hockey. It is so much more than a sport where athletes think they are the best thing in the world. These athletes go above and beyond every day to bring hockey to kids around the world and to give back to those that give to them. Hockey is the greatest sport in the world and anyone that disagrees obviously doesn't know what happens on and off the ice.
You should have included Tie Domi letting a lucky fan sit in the penalty box with him.

I don't watch Hockey, but this came up in my recommended, and I am glad I clicked it. I see players interact with fans at all sports whether it be JJ Watt playing catch with fans before games, or giving out baseballs before, and basketball, but these Hockey fan reactions are just the best. I gotta stop cutting onions. Their reactions are priceless and these players who are generous with their time and gear just have made fans for life. Good on you
