The united nations needs one goal and one goal only....to protect the indigenous peoples.
We need a different organisation altogether. No veto privileges, all nations equal. May be the weight on the voice of each nation depend on the size of it's population, not how many nuclear heads they have in their arsenal or what is the size of their colonial empires. We need this organisation out of the Jewnited States of Genocidal America. Set in a neutral country. May be an African country for a change. Only then we may have a chance for real peace and justice in this world.
Who's voting for these people and where's my ballot ?
The most educated (Cambridge, Harvard), best prepared (ex-FM, ex-PGA) and most concrete change candidate (with actual proposals on paper) is Vuk Jeremic. He is young, energetic and the right person for the job. Almost all others are/were already heads of the current failing UN system and had nothing new to say/suggest.
Jeremic's postion on Kosovo and the larger issue of territorial disputes (he sponsored a UN resolution against secession) will be a large problem in how the UN is perceived as a honest broker in the peaceful resolutions of civil conflicts. Remember the UN is and has been active in managing and supporting secession over its history. East Timor and South Sudan being recent examples. I doubt secessionists will view the UN as a neutral player when its head has been actively campaigning against the idea in principle. Also outside Europe he is unknown and he hasn't shown long term interest in issues outside the Balkans and Europe. The UN needs someone with a global perspective. Finally as the UN plays a role in the Balkans post the civil war, having the ex-foreign minister of Serbia as the SG will prove problematic particularly as there are still unresolved territorial disputes in the region in which is vital the UN is perceived as being neutral. I might add Serbia is yet to sign peace treaties with many of its neighbors.
It says a lot that 5 of the former Yugoslavian countries are all putting up candidates for SG. Perhaps the regions diplomats should look to resolve their local region's disputes before they start looking at the becoming players in world forums.

Only one candidate mentioned today's youth and young adults, but didn't seem too aware of avenues to engage with them. Only one candidate had the courage to go zero-tolerance on malaria and cholera in Haiti and actually respect the will of the Haitian people. Such is the nature of the UN these days, these people and the whole UN are in real trouble.

Campaign to Legalise Gunja Globally
Gunja has been known over the ages by many names. It was one of the first and most valuable crops for hundreds, indeed thousands, of years.
The Western scientific classification divided gunja/ganga into several different species, belonging to the genus Cannabis. Indian hemp was called "Cannabis indica" while the Western hemp was called "Cannabis sativa". It was regarded as one of the most vital crops in the world throughout the 1700s and 1800s but was banned, in what was a Crime Against Nature, in the 1900s.
Gunja has been known to have healing properties since ancient times. It was used for its health-giving properties by the ancient Chinese, Indians and Mesopotamians. It was later smoked by men throughout the Islamic World - giving rise to the first demonization of "hashish" as the root of the English word "assassin".
Guns and gangs are fostered by the prohibition of gunja. So is the Mafia and organized crime, including police corruption. The police waste their time and public money on arresting and prosecuting people for smoking a healing herb that lessens violence, and makes people sociable, insightful and thoughful.
At the same time it has long been known that corrupt police in Australia and elsewhere re-sell the confiscated "drugs" and turn a blind eye to dealers who buy them off. These include the biker gangs who sell tainted "bikie weed" in small quantities and great profits, using young "Blacks" to do the selling on the street. This is an ongoing problem in Australia, which will be solved by making Cannabis a legal crop.
It is time that the International Community came together to reverse the ban, globally.

Climate change is normal for the earth. We were almost a totally frozen ball flying through space. Took a rather large meteor to warm things up on the planet.
Stop taking on vast and big tropic if u can’t make any change, start doing from small like how many homeless and depressed people even in USA, people who works hard have been charging huge tax , people who dosent do job has less tax , people who have more Money has less tax, and very less right and wages for employees who suffered day and night , my weekly income just 1600 dollars even I work 20 hours in 24 hours,I can say that every one of u have no knowledge and awareness on how humble are suffering even in USA. Whole money and powers belongs to only few people on earth.. so stop talking on difficult and start talking on small things which u guys can do something for the people of the world.
UNO is like a tiger in parliamentary but cat in real situation. See merciless leaders killing, corrupting, empowering and humiliating the humanism , but UNO just barking from inside with actionless and action orientation.
