I've had an AFD100 for about 10 years. I haven't had to look at any other amps because once you find the sweet pot (amp+cab) you get a super dynamic amp. I only use AFD mode, #34 is really raw and as you said it sounds like it's out of phase. The effect loop is a series and has a volume knob that gives you a volume boost when you connect a cable between the send and return jacks, then you control the effect loop on/off switch on the foot pedal. I don't use any pedals in front of the amp, just guitar+cable and AFD100. Amazing gig amp!
Any chance you could do a run through vid of your captor x settings and set up man? I got the same amp recently (found one on reverb in mint condition for a good price) and am kinda in the same situation (don’t want to upset the neighbors in my apartment complex). Your demo sounds great btw.
hi. Wow, you are a fantastic guitar player! God, you play too much! you're as good as slash, or even better! This was one of the best videos I've ever seen and heard demonstrating musical instruments with the slash brand... I really think it was the best I've ever seen and heard, it was perfect. man, you are awesome! I would like to have you as my guitar teacher one day in my life! lol. Congratulations friend, you are a phenomenal guitar player. you gained a subscriber and a super like! keep it! long life for you. cheers.
Would have been cool to run it into a cab and then use that built in attenuator. If you’re worried about neighbors, supposedly you can run the master volume full with that attenuator rolled back to as little as .5W. I’d be curious if it maintains the same tones at low wattage like it supposedly does.
2:35 that laughter is the sound of an empty bank account 😂🤭 2:40 and that is the worried face that comes with it 😅 Bro, you bought a very good deal. The amp is in mint condition and has all the merchandise and accesoires including the original box. Most guitarists sellers are sloppy when it comes to selling their used gear.
The 34# mode isnt the amp slash used on the 80s Appetite album, it was the 39/36(afd). So sweet child is more properly played in the afd rather than in 34 mode. The afd mode is basically adding a tube gain stage at the middle of a jcm800.
U lucky guy Perfecto a real amp thats heavy😂 watch the back coming from a guy with back injuries i have 2 Marshall DSL 100H HEADS 2014,2017 MODEL 's they are heavy but sound great, i hate moving them 😂 man u got a sweet deal man that things in mint condition, bro how is your back? i remember u had some pain awhile back.Great video Perfecto.
there was one of these for sale in Marketplace I saw a while back., nasa 180K PHP ata nuon Maalala ko yung asking., and (at that time) I even took as screenshot because I thought to myself who in the right mind would spend that much for an amp ., and yet here we are sir Perf... ✌😁 I still use physical amps over software plug ins too!
Sarap nyan, sir. Pero Slash is also known to not use his signature stuff hehe. Even his signature wah pedal, he rarely uses. For amp, mas often ata yung Magnatone.
Sir Perf, anong shop mo nun a busko? Prep teacher mo noon my Aunt (technically my Mother) Ms Lutaos. ID batch 97 ako. Your guitar solo for Our Father (Buzon) is the first guitar solo na narining ko ng live. 😂
Stay analog, who wanna sound like a stereo FM receiver nowadays?! Is there really a Low and Hi gain or it was a L/R chain able input from the beginning?! I'm not from the Opus Day, my Tax Return sucks below zeroes. I don't know. Namastè.
Didn’t Slash actually play a copy of a LP built by a local luthier instead of a puny G guitar? Gibson got so much illegitimate reputation from that they should pay him royalties for using that shape 😂
Slash’ main guitar is a Kris Derrig handmade 59 Replica he rarely gigs it now and Gibson have even make a recreation of it. At the same time he also played real Gibsons. At the start mainly Standards that Gibson gifted him
Apetite was famously known to be recorded on the LP copy but Slash actually did love playing Gibsons(like the Aerosmith LP he had) but that was only after he played the copy because it was the sound he was chasing after. It’s not really ilegitimate because the copy actually served as his introduction to the shape. They do pay him royalties for the Slash signatures since a standard LP would just be a Les Paul(the guitarist) signature guitar.
So the guitar in question he still uses, but only for recording sessions (Derrig copy). That guitar in particular apparently has very specific sound that isn’t totally able to be replicated by alnico 2 pickups or a regular Les Paul. Gibson made a signature custom about a decade ago, and he uses those on tour. The USA model is a permanent fixture for Gibson now, and rightfully so since it’s probably one of the most recognizable Les Pauls now.
Thanks for clarification on the ohms thing i am always switching between 4 heads and 3 4x12 cabs 2 is stereo and 1 is 16 ohm and i get paranoid about hooking up cables wrong but u advice sounded loud and clear thanks for this..🍻🎸🎼🎵🎶🎸🎛

Dude that amp sounds glorious, I’d keep that LP it looks and sounds beautiful
tuwang tuwa si Perfecto sa bagong Amp!
Unique sound, because it's dark and nasal, but in a very pleasant way.

Finally a true, complete, and proper unboxing and review of the AFD100. Thanks Perf!
There are only 2 Marshall amps I need in my life. The one Joe Satriani and Slash use!
Pickguard or or off? Depends! I have them on with my 2, no pickguard with open covers on pickups / on with the nickel covers. What picks are those?

Back’s better, mang, thanks for asking! Just need to be mindful when lifting stuff and need to stand up and stretch often… and no more heavy guitars 🎸

The Slash signature products are overpriced. I lost respect for Slash. He changed a lot.

Cant see the relevance of unboxing a loaner guitar- unless paid to promote it
Because Slash
