Seit Jahrzehnten tourt die Weltmusik-Band über den Globus. Sie hat zweimal den ECHO bekommen und Tango gehörte schon immer zu ihrem Repertoire.
Hier die Wirkung mitten in #München vor dem weltberühmten #Hofbräuhaus?
For decades the world music band Quadro Nuevo has been touring the globe. They has twice won the ECHO and Tango has always been part of their repertoire.
How will these work in the middle of # Munich in front of the famous # Hofbräuhaus?

Now that you've pointed it out, I cannot recall any Hollywood depiction of Germans dancing cheek to cheek.
Renowned the world over as good music makers, yes. But we have never been shown Germans in the ballroom, or moving about on the nightclub floor.
What I have seen is that the under-40 generation of Germans simply will NOT stand up and dance in public at rock concert venues in Germany, no matter how irresistible the music. Young Germans sit politely on the grass and sway a little.
Put the same band in a stadium in the UK, US, or Canada and the crowd will dance for hours. In France, though they are hesitant and yet to figure out how to dance to rock rhythms, they do get up and gyrate solo, in pairs, or like children in circles.
I think young Germans do spontaneously jump up and join the dancing when they are abroad. But not at home. Dagmar, can you kindly explain.
My cousin married a Dortmunder and confirmed this curious behavior. They went to all the big rock concerts, where the best groups came to Germany, and it drove her crazy to have to sit still.
That may explain why this video of Germans swooning and dancing came as a pleasant surprise.
