  • In this video, I upgrade my 2014 RX350 F-Sport's interior lighting to LEDs. I don't upgrade the trunk LEDs in this video (as they require a different type of bulb) or the door LEDs (I've already upgraded them to Lexus logo LEDs).

About the rear passenger seat dome light ... There is NO need to remove the entire housing like almost all RUclipsrs do. Easy way: (1) Take the cover off, (2) Slip a 1/4" wide rubber band around the bulb, (3) Tug the rubber band tightly with your thumb and index fingers while supporting the bulb with your other hand's index finger, (4) Gently pull out the bulb making sure the rubber band secures the grip, (5) Reversing the procedure, install the new LED bulb also gripping it with the same rubber band and ... VOILA! job complete with no damage to the housing.
BTW, the bulb pin is positioned in the horizontal position. Also you may need to cut the rubber band to slip it out after the bulb is firmly in place. Just like Yoda, BE PATIENT and may the Force be with you!😅

I just finished upgrading all the interior led lights and I figured out a way to get the rear passenger dome light installed without having to remove the housing. The trick is to slide the led bulb head first into the groove kind of like changing out batteries for a tv remote since the led head area has some clearance room to slide in from an angle and once you have the bulb pushed in, you should be able to have the entire led inside the compartment and you can use a small pair of tweezer to guide the connector side in and once it’s in the groove, you can just use your hands and push it gently in. Also the plastic prying tool that comes with the led bulbs are a bit too thick. I would recommend to use a guitar pick or a jimmy tool. Makes opening all the plastic covers a breeze and comes off on the first time each time and you won’t have to worry about scratching any of the plastic trim pieces or break any plastic tabs on the cover

Tip: use plastic tools in an iPhone repair kit (if you have one)

Don’t have that, but had a car trim removal kit I’d bought to install my dashcam years ago. 😄

Hello thanks for the video. Which projector lights did you add for the lights by the foot door.

Thanks, narutosauske2787! The exact logo projector lights I bought are no longer for sale on Amazon (just checked...they were called "Klinee Lexus Accessories Easy Installation Car Door LED Logo Projector Welcome Lights For Lexus(2 Pack)", and I bought two of sets of two).
Mine had an issue with moving around a bit within the housing, so I think I used some super glue to keep them from moving, and now they seem fine. Here's an affiliate link to what looks to be a similar set, in a pack of 4: amzn.to/3GVOLmG. Looks like there are many other options available too!
