For example an abused spouse or child may suffer it at the had of a partner, parent or guardian etc. They may love them in spite of their abuse out of a senss of loyalty or even fear.

The song by One Direction is a completely different genre to this and is in now way a cover of this song (hence why there's different lurics). Muse writes somewhat dark music while One Direction is more peppy and happy because they're both aimed at different audiences. This is an alternative rock while One Direction is pop. If you prefer either song by either band, good for you. That's your opinion and no one can judge you for it. But don't argue over it please, people have opinions and are well within their rights to disagree. Can we all just grow up and get over this whole debate and listen to the song, please?
