Crazy that Jordan is still maintaining his absolutely elite level competitive fire. He's done everything there is to do in the sport. He's dominated, suffered setbacks and adversity, then came back and regained his dominant form and won it all at the highest level at a relatively advanced age. He can hang it up anytime he wants to and will be recognized as one of the 2 greatest American wrestlers of all time. The fact that he is still getting after it is a testament to who is as a man and as a competitor. Way to represent JB.
I think a lot of it is his intelligence and ability to adapt his wrestling to his body slowing with age. He's one of my top 3 wrestlers. There is also no better representative of US Wrestling.
Hassan- I think JB and John Smith are 1 and 2 in the history of USA wrestling. Don’t ask me to pick between them. Both remained dominant for a long period of time.
Cael Sanderson?
@@capnsean8365 - Collegiate? Yes. Internationally he has just 1 Olympic Gold. JB and John Smith have 6 World/Olympic titles. JB has a slew of other World Level medals as well.
@@socalastarte6727 you're a scholar, well put
As athletic and technical as JB is, I’m most impressed by his grit and perseverance in individual matches and overall career. He’s worthy of utmost admiration.
Agreed!!
Jordan still looks monstrous. it's incredible how this man has gone through ups and downs but he has never missed a beat.
WWE is the next logical step for him..
Jordans at a point in his career where literally any college in the world would gladly pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars to coach. Yet he still chooses to absolutely dominate in the sport. It’s really amazing to watch
JB's pick is like MJ's jump shot later in his career.
Or lebrons fadeaway 3 💪💪💪💪🧟♂️🧟♂️🧟♂️
Also jbs ankle pick has never looked this good. It’s incredible and just as fast as his double leg. He’s been drilling that for sure it looks awesome
I had the same though. It is something a little different that he has certainly developed and it is welcomed!
Lookin like John Smith all of a sudden
@@cyclingboss469 think he will beat sidakov finally if they ever meet?
I came to the comments to say this and yes they looked great.
Reminds me of zahids
Burroughs will always be the goat in my eyes
Looks like Jordan is adding to his arsenal. He has worked on that ankle pick, no doubt. Also working on the right side single. As a wrestler, you're never expecting that.
Shows how much American wrestling has spiked as both finalist are rocking the Stars and Stripes
That low, outside single is killing
Really happy for JB, but come on, I am so happy to see Chance Marsteller in the finals here. He is one of the greatest HS wrestlers of all time.
He's has one of my favorite comeback stories, and I hope he wins an NCAA title next year. God bless.
He is the Lebron of wrestling 🤼
Well, LeBron could never be this tough. This is different type of breed of man. Something LBJ has never displayed. But I get your point.
LeBron cries while cramping.... he couldn't ever be as tough as these guys.
@@amberlee2358 Lebron is worth One billions dollars, athlete of the decade, international superstar, and the greatest at his craft.
Lebron sucks, JB doesn't
Imagine being negative towards a self made billionaire. Yal are weird AF 😒
Outstanding! Thanks FloWrestling for putting this up.
“All I see is gold”
This version of JB has a real shot of beating Dake imo, haven't seen him put together a match this clean in quite sometime
Hopefully when he cuts back down to 74kg he’ll wrestle like this. Bc i as well believe this version can beat dake but it also depends on his cut.
A lot easier to do this versus marstellar than someone like dake or chamizo
Ya bro fake would of had a tech in first period prolly
he’s getting too old to make 74kg. plus why go back down to the weight you were lagging in if the new one fits you better? JB still wants his second gold and he has only so much time to get it
@@dickdick130 he's not at 74 because Dake is there now that's pretty much it. But I agree he looks great wrestling up so might as well stay. Not to mention 74 is STACKED with talent comparitevly.
Jordan is incredible to watch, he's a genius lol.
Jordan is the best! Nonstop all the time. Most relentless grappler I've ever seen.
He’s evolving! Learning new attacks and not always committing to blasting through a double. First two points scored off of singles. Unreal
had to adapt because of Dake
@@jwin814 Steel sharpens steel.
JB is a true magician of the sport, much like Michael Jordan's uncanny ability to draw fouls and avoid them: to explain -- despite Marstellar's stalking (particularly in the 2nd period), JB knew how to circle correctly, when to go lateral and retake the center.
Tbh JB should've received at least one passivity in the 2nd, but big matches are his bread&butter -- he can just feel how and when to feint, how to frustrate an opponent, and he's a such a boxer in a pocket with that movement.
Well-earned, masterclass finals performance.
I feel his feint and disengagement should give him more passitivity calls tho. In this match he accually ties up sometimes. But in other matches he does not tie up one single time. He just jabs the forehead and disengage. But the refs have allowed him to wrestle this way for many years so why stop. But it would be boring to watch wrestling without tie ups and set ups.
@@anklepick9524 Great nick btw -- yea JB is talented for sure, but he may be the most talented at anticipating referee calls over one of the longest wrestling careers anyone can remember -- a skill MJ had too.
1:42 listen to the brilliant coaching, and the execution by jb..amazing
Jordan looks tiny compared to Chance. Shows that skills and experience can beat size.
✊🏾⭐️ all I see is gold
This dude is unreal
JORDAN’s shoot is so lethal because of those long arms and super fast feet! Insane! The best I’ve ever seen. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:50 mark, look at that slick ankle carry, I am stealllllllling this
Jb is phenomenal at his blast doubles (if stuffed), transitioning to a single leg take down. The blast doubles are his money shot, but his secondary shot (single) is just as good! I'm currently teaching my son this sort of chain wrestling I learned from JB.
Jordan ain't slowing down that I can see 💪
Jesus how is Jordan so top game
Like fine wine.
Burroughs held Dake back for a full decade. These guys would trade 100 world gold medals for one Olympic gold. I think Burroughs made Dake miss his window.
👏 to the blast 💥 man !
Awesome win! But I'd be bummed over one TD away from a tech! 😅
CONGRATULATIONS JB!🏆🥇
I hope they make a really accurate & high budget(💰4U) movie(documentary?) of your life & how much dedication it takes, not to compete, but to absolutely dominate, in an elite level sport for so many years. Thank you for all of your hard work. You are an inspiration to many.🙏🏻
Legend GOAT 🐐
is it just me or is weird not having the commontators
Definitely weird although those two yee-ha goofballs they formerly used sucked major ass water. Fungus and Mungus I think were their names
Interesting all the single leg attacks
Still got it!
It’s been a long while since I wrestled, I have to admit. I realize both athletes are among the best, but where is the head and arm? Where’s the follow through after shooting? Take his back and keep going!
Wrestle JB or Marsteller and tell me how it feels to do a reshot against them lol
@@jeffpayo point taken 💪
@@PullStartStables Yeah this chess
Yup.....exactly. There’s a lot of not finishing shots and trying the same setups and moves over and over with zero success and without changing their approach
@@jeffpayo - Payo mayo it’d feel awesome as hell finishing a setup, shot, and takedown
That head heal is getting nasty.
Casually shelves foot, limp arms and gets 2... beast
JB is a beast.
Champ!
guy in the blue needed to get lower n not be scared to shoot
I actually expected more dominice. Jordan has to be more aggressive against international comp.
The other guy is American lol
@@shaquillebreedlove7915 I'm aware. They were both wearing USA singlets, lol. I was referring to his aggression when he actually faces foreign opponents.
cejudo was down in a lot of his matches in his 2008 gold run: winning’s winning, even if it aint pretty
also burroughs has always won on decisions
7:35 looks like a side of beef that can hit back.
LmaoO Jordan is the reason I started walking back to the center slowly. And my coach hated it
JB does this bc hes tired?
@@phule3625 no lol
@@phule3625 yes and it chews up clock time, and keeps him away from the edge for an easy push out
Nice JB let’s go 🇺🇸 USA
Straight jersey grit
Please don’t put the results in the title.
Wrestling newbie here. Why is JB able to get to his legs so often, but the other guy can't drop levels and get JB's legs? Is it just a speed and explosiveness difference? Stance difference? Please shed light.
It's a game of chess. They are feeling things we can't always physically see. Very small changes in movement create openings jordan is capitalizing while marstellar isn't finding those openings.
@@nicxss2615 OK, so like reactions to changes in pressure, weight distribution, direction of mass? I did tai chi for a while so think I understand what you are saying.
JB is slightly faster than lightening!
@@ibaryabaq9197 yeah mostly changes in pressure. Miniscule changes are what open up takedowns
Jordan Borroughs is lightning quick and extremely powerful once he fully commits to his shot. Marsteller is a younger rookie who lacks confidence and willingness to change strategy during the course of the match when things aren’t working out for him
Is it necessary to tell us who wins in the subject line? Just let us watch the match
JB is the best of all time, but can we take a moment to see how big marstellers legs are 💀
He isn’t done coach.
FloWrestling is a horrible channel and organization. Spoils the outcome of the match and uploads videos so late to squeeze every penny from people who love wrestling. The community is already very small and they make it smaller.
Do you guys think he beats Dake next time around in a 2 out of 3?
Who knows 🤷♀️ only time will tell. Git yer popcorn ready though....it’s gonna be a barn burner
Idk man dake and Burroughs are gonna be both old as hell by that point but who knows these guys keep finding ways to stay ahead of their packs. If they do meet again. I think it will be an entertaining one. They wrestled 10 times with JB taking 7 of the first 8 and Dake taking the last 2 in close matches. Anything can happen
@@jesvinmathew5103 I think because of the mess up with covid and all the Olympics will be 2023 right? Or still 2024? Anyway either next year or the year after they meet again for the Olympic 74 spot. I know JB said he's holding out till 2024 so one more Olympics...
@@theamazing10yearold65 I hope so man
Now looking back what if Chance pulled JB's singlet as he was winning 8-0? Would he have have challenged that to make it 9-0 which still isn't even a tech?
I don't think so....yeah I feel I lost a measure of respect for JB for pulling that trick in their recent battle...I absolutely love JB but it's just that...
Hey
Why is JB not wearing ASICS shoes?
Am I the only one who feels like the match is spoiled by the title? I don’t wrestling close enough to know who wins the day of. I like to find out by watching the result of the match.
Do I see a JB RUDIS signature shoe?🧐🧐🧐
The Tom Brady of wrestling.
He should have competed for bronze he clearly lost the semifinal ,referee gifted him gold medal match but still a legend
Marsteller can beat him he just needed to feel him out
He been whooping Kyle Dake for years Kyle finally beat him smh
is it me or did jordan lost weight?
It’s like he doesn’t know how to lose even if he tried 😂😂😂
Burroughs will ragdoll Khabib and Islam
JB was. Flawless in this match, but Masteller(sp) looked very lazy and out of his depth. I mean he had ZERO chance against JB! How did he get to the gold medal round?!
Congrats again Jordan! 🇺🇸
I actually beat him a few times back in high school. Then I stopped wrestling to drink…. Ugh
Beat who? Borroughs or Marsteller?
Isn’t wearing ASICS anymore 🤔🤔
79kg is weak sauce
Why is Fartsmeller so salty after the lost?
If you call that salty you got something wrong
@@chrisreetz4117 8:11 looks salty to me.

Jordan is too old and make no good wrestiling. the jugd was wrong in two times.
the judges have a hard job, but sawadkuhi was much better and more active. I think that Jordan has gotten too old and the stronger ones are slowly coming.
I’m not a huge fan of guys cutting a lot of weight, but marstellar is at the wrong weight class. Jordan is not a big 79 kg and he is still way bigger.
What are you looking at?
@@harryahlfeldt9689 I was looking at Jordan being able to pretty much h just reach out and be in on an ankle.
@@wrestlermike22 that's not size. That being faster than lightening. Look at Chance's legs, back & forearms. He walks around at 185-188 lbs. 163 is a big cut.
@@harryahlfeldt9689 part of its speed sure, but look at Jordan's arms and how long they are then compare it to marstellars body type..

That first take down especially, he didn't even shoot, just reached out.
@@wrestlermike22 Chance is my nephew. He's bigger than JB. JB has long arms but Chance is bigger overall.
