I don’t understand why Atlantic wanted to try to take Nicki down to begin with… can’t these labels just create female rappers that stay in there own lane? Why plot against another artist? There’s room for everyone. Let the talent speak for itself.
the reason why they want to take nicki down while creating their own is because before nicki even signed with young money officially, she was going to sign with them. she didn't sign with them because they wanted her to have a ghost writer(s). they also didn't expect nicki to thrive no longer than 5-10 years. plus a lot of nicki features are with artist's that are signed to or under Atlantic so they have invested a lot of money into her in more ways than one. nicki makes them a lot of money but she also takes a lot from them because they pay her for those collabs. if you also notice that majority of people that nicki has had beef's with are under Atlantic and was signed to them at the time of the beef. while the fans might have played a part in the nicki beef with Cardi, Atlantic definitely set the whole thing up because they was trying to sign female rappers to diss nicki around the time the remy diss was coming. they gave remy and Cardi a deal, while remy do a direct diss to take nicki out, they'd ushered in a cheaper knock off of nicki that's very likable. ever since the motorsport incident, Atlantic has been making sure that Cardi's streams are always a steady placement while also paying for consistent radio play and then paying billboard to change rules every time nicki had dropped so that way she couldn't chart high. people hated nicki soo much that they turned a blind eye to it and didn't realize what was happening to her. people are slowly but surely realizing it but we still got a long way to go before people really realize that nicki was never the problem. they just hate that nicki is a black women who's really smart and business savvy, who has a strong loyal fanbase and have the money to have great lawyers that'll protect her when it matter's most. she's already too powerful so they are doing her like how they did MJ.

Her hits have crossed all grammy and award categories, and the other women make music that makes it into rap and r&b categories. . 0ther female rappers like Doja Cat, are already being put in a box by the industry, especially award shows like the Grammys. For example, when the VMAs kept putting her in R&B categories and making her win instead of the more authentic artists (like Summer Walker & SZA). She also won a grammy for 'best group collab' even though she and SZA are not a group. Megan thee Stallion's "savage remix ft Beyonce' won a grammy for best hip hop, even though Beyonce was singing in the second half of the song.
She has worked with 13 female rappers in the past month, and she has worked with more female rappers than all these female rappers. She has given 9 female rappers their first #1 on iTunes and all of the girls on the SFG remix their top 20 on the billboard. Why is Nicki the problem if she is the one who got blacklisted by the catholic church and the the Grammys (and no one came to her defense)? Why Is Nicki the problem if she got blackball by the black media and radio (cause mens was mad)? Why is Nicki the problem when she suffered through a hate train?
Why would Nicki Minaj work with someone who physically assaulted her at a fashion show (Cardi)? Why would Nicki work with Remy, someone who put a dismembered picture of her on her album cover and verbally bullied her at Rolling Loud (along with Lil Kim)? Why would she work with Megan or Coi after they ignored her and used her as a social ladder? And all of these other girls call her names and slander her family (Azealia banks and others).
