Hey bro I just discovered this channel. I’m a certified electrician in California. Did you have to get certified in other states to work there or is there a “back door” to where you can still get JW wages. This is exactly what I want to do travel and get prevailing wage jobs to save up for a house.
Been at my local as a JW for 10 years. I want to hit the road like this. Im hoping to eventually find a nice place and a job opportunity where I can settle down and buy a house. Might have to move my ticket. But I don't ever seeing myself coming back to my home state. When you get to a new hall, do you just have your local email your travel letter?
That's great! I stopped by my hall and had them print out a travel letter. But the first time I traveled I was already on the road 2 states away so they emailed it to me and I went to office depot and printed it out myself. Then when I got to the hall I wanted to sign they never asked for one lol. Thanks for watching brother 🙏
It depends on the job and the contractor . I have never been on a job with perdeium but I've always made more money per hour for the last 4 years on every job I take! Thanks for watching 🙏
Enjoying your content highly considering IBEW , I'm from Alabama also (443) would be my local? Have been in the trade for almost 8 years now but from what I've collected IBEW in the south ain't very strong and would have to travel also so thanks for a little inside information!
Hello Michael, all you have to do is show layoff slip current due receipt and sign the book . Call the hall first of the state you want to travel too. Thanks for watching brother 🙏
Really cool listening to you talk about traveling as an J.W. !
Hopefully in 3 years I can do the same.
Keep the updates coming.
Local 134 here brother.
Thank you 13 4 !

What's the process in changing states?

You should come to Local 26 for a while bro, lotta work around here
Lots of brothers say that, I may have to head on over to d.c !
I'd stay away from 26. No breaks, shitty conditions and Hall doesn't want to hear about it. Stay in the midwest.
Maybe a video about your experience with jobs that require state licensing tests?
reciprocity between each state(s) tests also is confusing.
I’m thinking about doing the same.
If you shoot don't miss
Come home and take me hunting friend...
Just come to the Bay Area here in Cali. Local 6, 332, 617, and 595 are the best paying locals in the union
Hey thanks, I've been looking that way and even have a cousin who lives out there! I need to try it .thanks for watching brother 🙏
@@wallygatorfilmsoutdoors1506 no problem brother. Stay safe
