- Saftu says the DA and ANC's policies are similar. Spokesperson Trevor Shaku believes the DA's demand of some ministries will, however, allow the party to continue with accelerated austerity policies. He pinpoints that the DA's proposed policy provisions are a disaster.

Well articulated my brother I hear you loud and clear. These evil people mean us no good, never have and never will. Steve Biko was right, all we have is us.
ubaba SAA, Eskom, Transnet, Denel..all these used to be some of the best in the world - what went wrong?
@@lm_b5080 STILL DOES NOT EXCUSE THE DA'S POLICY TO KEEP THE MASSES POOR. DA IS WRONG FOR THIS PORTFOLIO. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HERMAN MASHABA IN THIS JOB.
You see things which are not there....but carry on....eventually you may come to live in a real world, instead of what's been etched in your brain from the past.
@@markriordan9010 Sir denialism is not the real world. The real world is fixing what needs fixing instead of pretending it's not broken, and trying to get the rest of us to agree and participate in your demented and dillutional world which you call real. I think you're the one who needs to come back to reality instead of living in a nonexistent perfect world in which the victims of evil criminal deeds, should just forget what was done to them and live happily ever after, side by side with those who committed evil, heinous, wicked crimes against them. All those who think in this manner, are out of they're minds.
@@ashleyadams5207I have no idea what you are trying to say...try to get at least a few words spelt correctly, and in some sort of order.
its mind blowing when a whole anchor does not do research and come and put statements without facts. i'm just glad that Trevor came in and put out facts for the people our there without fear or favour

Seems to be the norm these days by the so-called news houses
@@craigledimo3108 Education is very important you cannot know what you do not know. This guys' response made Thabo tom look shallow. He has basic but the guy is very educated and very articulate. He did not have it his way. He is well research, he can think from the toes and this is only because he is good at his work and well educated. I agree with you Thuto and Craig
A thought provoking and well articulated position..... there's a lot of dangerous rhetoric to discourage the role of the state....but here we are with expensive utilities and a ridiculous cost of living meanwhile executives get salaries of R200m..... who needs that much money especially in a sea of poverty? Well put Mr. Trev......hopefully the activism will stay strong to counter these narratives.
Privatization basic services I don't this is a good idea, we are already living in unequal society.. when services are Privatised it means majority of our people won't have access to these services.
you get it, now its your responsibility to fight this demonic DANC, our responsibility.
They would never exist to begin with if they weren't privatized mste
@zerog1037 they existed for 90 years when they were managed by white people. So you want to tell me black people can't manage or ran anything 🤔
I really love this guy for telling the truth
Investments should yield returns. Bailout is when u dump money perpetually without seeing returns. Just because it is state owned, it doesn't mean it should not be profitable. The tax payers are investors and we are not happy with paying without returns.
but you get to have that service at a cheaper rate

Yes look at the Western Cape, a shithole that is better because its compare to other shitholes.
Someone prepped him well, he didnt even need a written speech to spew his drivel, well done
The DA are hypocrites because they were saying the cabinet must be lean. 😂😂😂😂
SA people wake up and claim your lands.
Your news anchor is out of touch with reality when he says young people just want to work.
You shouldn't be shocked though. These news anchors are out of their depth. Many of them are airheads. Mdluli is no exception.
This guy is not making any sense, if you improve foreign investment and starting of private companies this creates a demand for more jobs and not minimum wage jobs but proper paying jobs. Yes you will have the unskilled jobs and skilled jobs, but even if you start at the bottom, you gain skills and go up in the ladder, to semi-skilled and so forth. This is how the world works, you work your way up.
I'm fascinated by this Sadtu official. We need young well informed revolutionaries such as this brother who will refute all manner of white capital falsehoods.
South Africa is confused malema told u u dint wana listen knw u guys are talking to much good for u
Well spoken
As a voter and a South African Citizen, how do I get access to the contents of the GNU agreement, I would like to analyse this agreement and evaluate if it is adressing the countries economic challenges?
Man is spot on with every point!
Mr NOTA you one of the people i would personally trust to teach black people in particular about these matters, People are so blind with what is going on in SA in terms of black liberation, i think you make a very informative PODCAST for liberation of our COLONISED minds.
What is African about ANC?
Corruption.

Greed and corruption

*R350 grant cannot sustain any one person ( R2000 pm is much better then R350 pm*
The statement that people just want a foot in the door and not fair wages or a salary is one the most tone deaf things I’ve heard in a while.
The Dutch settlers are not happy with this chappy...😊
They can go back to Netherlands where they came from. South Africa for African South Africans.
the leader has content indeed
If you sign a certificate consenting as an inividual to be treated different than other people, then don't complain of the unforseen consequences tomorrow. In the DA we will take you for $£@ve if you aren't checking your surroundings😂
Yes government spent all the money to inflate GDP between 2004 and 2008 and look at our debt balance. It's like me taking a loan and paying myself a loan 😅 we need FDI - we can not exist or operate on a vacuum, the only way to get more money is to bring it in. Unless you want to start printing then let's add Zim to the GNU
Unfortunately, as proven already, investors will simply pay their executives exorbitant salaries and bonuses than to help the state uplift marginalized Africans. You then have to wonder how helpful FDI is if the plight of the people who are supposedly being helped doesn't improve...
I like this guy.
When has a UNION ever, EVER, created 1 single job?
They are the enemy of the unemployed.
Stop being dumb, research about unions.
That is NOT their job to create jobs ...
Go back to school...
They never created a job but you can thank them for improved working conditions, the two-day weekend, and 8 hour work day. These advancements in workers rights would not be realized without trade unions.
I think u lack something n it's a shame on you
@@truth-Hurts375 but they consistently pretend that they are concerned by unemployment.
They insist on dictating policy that is job limiting, not job growing.
These same people would rather pay people R350 to sit at home than go out and earn R4000. That has left us with millions who have NEVER worked and actually don't know how to work
The DA, which is the remnant of the old evil apartheid regime, and any other parties that will not address the major issues in the country such as SA's land and natural resources that are in the hand of the tiny minority colonial settlers are definitely not the substitute for the ANC if indigenous South Africans want a better life.
The state already owns the minerals in the ground. Government earns revenue from mining
Do your homework
I think you're the one that needs to go back to school altogether. Our diamonds are owned by De Beers for example. By revenue do you mean the tax these guys invade?@@mvubu6823
How has land and resources helped the rest of Africa ?
The colonialists left 60 to 70 years ago yet Africa remains poor.
Maybe you should look at a different solution to your problems because the one you have is clearly not working.
Not understanding the concept of a "bailout" 😢
Yip. This guy's a moron. Clearly never completed Economics 101.
The period of government spending that increased the GDP was during preparation for the FIFA world cup. Investment in infrastructure to support the world cup that brought foreign direct investment. Printing money is not creating more money, you have to produce value that someone else wants to pay for.
South Africa is far from exhausting infrastructure investment nor addressing historical inequality. The Government should therefore keep going with investment with or without a World Cup because the private sector would rather stash away money or pay executives hundreds of millions than to put that money into eliminating pit toilets in rural areas.
Well Articulated
Great leader 🫡… 2 African guys on a national television with Africans being majority listeners 😢yet we using western language. I wish they could bridge this gap…most people that vote can’t interpret an articulate correctly what my brother is saying here…it goes straight to the people’s ears you speaking against

What he is saying is not reaching the ordinary people. Keep this discussion for CEO's and economists. Sorry!
This guy is knowledgable and transformative.
Imagine trying to complain about not being able to make ends meet when you willingly signed a certificate of $£@ve wages😂
DA WALK AWAY PLEASE 🙏 THESE GUY'S THINKS ANC DID VERY WELL FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS 😂😂😂🎉 THEY MUST THANKS THE ANC 😂😂😂
Anc didn't need DA 😂😂😂ramaphosa and stupid mbalula do
DA thinking is, its okay for Black people to be paid slave wages and not prosper. They no good either. We need someone who has aspirations for the whole country. I prefer Herman Mashaba, a self made multimillionaire business man, who came from poverty to become an employer.
The DA must walk away. It is not supposed to be inserting itself in government any way. Let them achieve the outright majority in elections first. We all know it will never happen.Their policies are at odds with the South African reality. If that means we are stuck with the ANC, so be it.

Feel free to tell us YOUR selution ???
If you don't have one....how the hell can you criticize other???
Dom Doos !!!!
The soviet union had zero percentage unemployment through it's socialist oriented anti-market economic policy. Not only was every individual guaranteed a job in the soviet union, every technological innovation in the soviet union reduced the working hours of their workers (while their wage was not reduced). Currently, in our pro-market south Africa, every technological innovation results in more unemployment because the business owners will make more money if they have to employ and pay less people while the people that aren't fired still work the same hours and same pay.
You clearly don't care at all about the millions of people who are struggling to find a job. If you did, you would not be criticizing this person.
@@znyooom where is the Soviet Union now? Can you tell me just one example of a well succeed socialist country?
Whilst DA will create the working poor. People work but they struggle to put food on the table because of slave wages, like during Apartheid. DA can go govern elsewhere, not here. We need the likes of Action SA, BOSA, RISE, leaders with the ideology of developing everyone.
