Drinking and Christian Liberties - Tim Conway

If all you are about is your Christian liberty and you don't care what this does to somebody else, you are not loving. You are not really concerned about others, you are more concerned about how far you can live out on the edge. On the other hand, legalism will kill the church, it will cause biting and devouring, and people thinking they are superior to others.

Wisdom and truth. It is so important to note that many also use drinking as a way of coping with trauma and others have ancestors that have passed down genetic predisposition. I firmly believe that this sin requires much healing because for the vulnerable it becomes an idol. We need to meet the Lord in our pain at the cross. He had the lion heart to overcome all pain. The brethren and sistren need to be kind to not retraumatize those fighting this sin.
