Nice one again Hair Brained! I like they way these are done by you - even though i mostly miss to give any feedback on them...anyways, that slight amount of humour always adds a lot to it 👍
Well, thank you! I appreciate that! Glad the humor (bizarre as it is sometimes) is entertaining. Unboxings are such an odd thing, but people like them and it does kind of feel like I'm "opening a Christmas present on camera", so I tend to be more jovial in them. Really appreciate the comment! Take care!
Nice preview! Thanks for sharing. For some reason, I have a weird tick in my brain for mech games (pc or board). I loved Robotech and other robot style shows (transformers example) when growing up but never cared for mech. This game looks good, but the obvious will have to pass. One thing for sure I would have to upgrade those standees with some miniatures mechs to enhance the experience. I'm not surprised to see a hefty solo book when Turz is involved. Myself, I prefer a simple AI solo mode where I spend more time on my turns than the AI. This is one of the reasons I enjoy Alexander Pfiester games. 😊 Hope you enjoy this Undaunted series! Take care.
Heya heya! Yeah, I understand on passing. The mechs seem to have a more subdued impact here thus far than the usual mech included games. Yeah, the standees are not the best table presence. I will say I've been spoiled with games with lots of minis and such lately, and this is a departure. Solo mode and Turz, you are spot on. This is a ramp up of previous solo undaunted games, very much so. The solo book is twice the pages of the rule book. I'll give it a whirl, but I do agree that Pfister is a great example of someone making the AI just 'disruptive enough' to make for a challenge but not overwhelming with trying to emulate intelligence to the point of exhaustion. I don't have a strong confidence i'll delve into solo too much, BUT I've been wrong before. :) Take care as always!
Thanks for the look at this one. WW2 has never been a huge gaming interest so I’ve largely ignored the Undaunted series. I do like sci-fi though, so this looks interesting. If you review this I’d love to see more about the solo mode. BTW, grab anything from GMT’s Fall Sale? I managed to snag my main target I, Napoleon before it apparently sold out in minutes. Added Twilight Struggle: Red Sea. I qualified for one more but didn’t see anything else that I wanted and didn’t already have. God bless brother.
Heya!!!! I will review this one, I think. I've been spotty on the Undaunted series reviews (despite having them all). My initial plays have been positive, though there's other games recently that I've been super into that may be lessening its coolness factor. The solo mode is much much more intricate and complex than previous versions to me, at least at initial glance. I did grab some Fall sale stuff! And then I got the dreaded "yeah, we didn't count the inventory quite right. super sorry" so I don't know exactly what, other than counter trays, I will end up with. lol. Very happy you got I, Napoleon before the stock issue. Let me know what you think of it. Impressive solo experience to me. Twilight STruggle: Red Sea! Also want to know what you think of it. I confess I was pretty lukewarm on it. I ended up just playing Twilight Struggle more. Take care and God bless you as well. Hope you're well this fall and in good health, my friend.
