Dear Marine, Thank you for your comment. This is actually a traditional Thai Massage. A combination of acupressure and indeed stretching. Like Japanese Shiatsu and Chinese Tuina, it is based on the knowledge of the meridians. This knowledge is far more older than the massage we know here in the west where we use oils and massage tables. In Thai massage, every part of ones body is used to implement pressure and stretches for better blood flow and better movement of the ligaments. It has been passed on by Buddhist monks for more than 2500 years. There are documents that specify this. I hope that you keep an open mind and like all of us, learn from the ancients.
