I really like Barrett Carter. He can drop back and cover. He can play QBSpy and can blitz...He is everything we want in an offback Linebacker and hopefully gets to learn for 1 year behind Lavonte David.

Why are we drafting 2 gaurds? Our o line was one of the best in the league even while missing wirfs and luke at times. We need to get this defense sorted out. Edge, LB, CB, WR, SAFETY, another LB

I completely agree with PFF’s team needs as the 3 clear focus points to upgrade, however I don’t agree with the picks. IMO, edge rusher will not be in play in the first few rounds by time we get to the draft. The Bucs already have young Edge rushers with high ceilings, who need time to develop, and that is a position that takes time. Pencil Diaby in at the #2, and Braswell as the developmental #3.
We will aggressively pursue a proven commodity at this position, as we will need the immediate impact. I truly see the Bucs pursuing a high-profile trade for a guy like Max Crosby or Trey Hendrickson, but should that not work out, I think the fallback plan should be to sign Khalil Mack, as he can give us a year or two of high end production while others are developing.
I do see the Bucs moving on from J. Dean, and targeting the best available plug and play CB in rd 1. So as of now, that leaves us at a toss up between B. Morrison, ND, S. Revel, East Carolina, and maybe even Jahdae Barron, TX. I see all 3 of those guys as year 1 starters who could sure up our struggling secondary.
Currently, I see CB, Edge, & ILB as our primary needs, and Safety, DL, & IOL as our secondary depth needs. WR could be thrown into mix as well should Godwin walk, but I don’t expect he will. Right now, step 1 is to ensure L. Coen is back in 2025!!!

I think edge, ILB, ILB, defensive line best available. JTS has got to go away, ILB Dennis maybe a problem in the future imo ( LB with bad shoulder doesn’t last long in the NFL). I would like the Bucs to get bigger in the front seven. Hall needs to be upgraded and Golston is likely done. Will this be the year the Bucs have cap space to sign free agents?
Draft is one thing given games away on penalties is a nother story . Maybe just Maybe they can put a super bowl season together.

I saw the SC safety in the second round and fell off the couch. Would have taken Nick Emmanuroi (? I can't spell). Good size and speed. I saw a corner in the 3rd that surprised me, Burke. There are probably not any Olinemen I would take since we don't have a spot at all for any.

Jahdae is under 6'. If bowles stays, he won't draft him for the outside, he is too short. And the nickel is Tykee... that is Bowles' guy.
They would definitely trade back before taking that guy in the first.

We need a LB to replace lavonte
Yes. The Schwesinger kid has a 4.7 40. There is kid from Utah who is bigger and faster Lander Barton. But I have calmed down after watching some videos on FA linebackers. I think we could get a veteran and wait another year on off ball linebacker. That is if David does come back. We could rotate those veterans, so one guy is not taking 80% of the snaps alongside Sir Dennis.

@him280 I like him and Mondon. That is true. We could do that. But I think if we don't draft Green or Princely in the first, then we are going to be looking at Ezeiruaku, Baron, Lennard at 54 for pass rush. Or you will have to take Thomas (the CB) from FSU higher than you should. I think corners and edge guys are going to go fast in the first 2 rounds. And that is exactly what we need. Campbell could last to 54. But I don't know.

Bucs need to trade Winfield and Dean. Save money and get draft picks. Winfield is the highest paid DB in the league and had a terrible year. Yes, he was injured most of the year, but when he played, he was ZERO impact for that type of money. That type of money demands game-changing plays. That's why you don't overpay players. Winfield will not get back on track. Get rid of him while you still can get a first - or second round pick for him. Hopefully, they can get a 4th for injury prone Dean who gets burnt anyway. Bowles is horrible at evaluating DB talent. He just wants them to understand his too complex defense that doesn't work anymore. Then, the same excuses every game. "Communication and missed tackles were our problem." Yeah, that lack of communication is never fixed, apparently.
