In a talk with the New York Public Library, Zadie Smith discusses her work and various other subjects. One of them being her review of 'The Social Network', a film about the creation of Facebook.
In this clip, the English novelist explores the revolution that changed the world - for all it's great, and possibly adverse, effects.

He is annoying.
He keeps interrupting! I agree
I was so disturbed by the rude interviewer that I had to quiit watching, which is a pity, for I have very much enjoyed and profited from Zadie Smith's interviews and conversations elsewhere. She should not have been treated like this.
I’m not sure what you’re getting at. How is it that she was treated that so deeply offended you? If you have to remove yourself from this video, I’m not sure how you make it though a day in real life. He was simply speaking, or trying to comment in agreement with her, and they were both speaking at the same time and while he was trying to stop himself to slow her to speak, he would start again cause he thought she was done. It’s really basic and it’s concerning that this is so much for you.
Absolutely correct! A world of performers! while dying. hoping for real attention from within
Thank you so much Zadie, great insight as always.
She's so right!
'relational rather than performative' I love that
And it is only speeding up, too the Ghost Town on here...?
who is he?
Backward!
