I saw a video experimenting with this & essentially, big cats like lions, tigers, & cheetah all ignore small dots while smaller wild cats, like Lynx & Serval will chase them same as a house cat. The explanation given is that smaller cats would register the laser dot as something to engage bc they will attack insects or small rodents all the time whereas big cats wouldn't waste energy on things like insects or small rodents bc of how little food value they give for the effort needed to catch them, so they just don't register the small red dot as something to play with the same way a smaller cat would.

I know everybody hates me if I write that, but I have to say that right now. Thoose animals are wild animals. They wander around hundreds of miles in the wild and we put them in a small room sized cage for the rest of their live. Imagine someone would do that with you. And by the way: I would't cuddle with them either. They are dangerous and can kill you. For that they just have to get mad at you one single time. If I would be hold captive in such a small cage, i would't need much to get pretty mad..

Most of the cats live alone in the wild they just see others to mate, the exception is the lions, they been lonely is normal
