My grandpa used to have a small beef operation near Warba, Minnesota. He retired and got rid of the cattle when I was pretty small. My father and I kept using the land to make and sell hay for most of my school-age life. My dad still sells square bales, and I take vacation to help him with that. I live in Illinois now, and am involved only in the transportation of ag products, but at harvest time I love to go out and photograph equipment and people out harvesting. I just want to say, you have an incredible operation.
Im from the Uk and a retired farmers son. Done a lot of farming myself but had to leave the industry due to the struggle that is the agriculture industry in this country. Miss it quite a bit so I get my fill by watching various farming you tubers. Keep up the good work.
This is the best version of Cribs going!! Kingston ON, Canada. I'm now a same day courier, I grew up on a dairy farm not far from Kingston. Love your vids
I'm from Croatia. Not a farmer but always dreamed about that. My uncle is a pig farmer, has quite a big farm for our small country standards. I will never forget spending 12+ hours helping him with the wheat harvest, balling and manuring the harvested fields during my summer break in the high school. That was definitely one of the best memories in my childhood! Anyway great video and all the best to you and your family! Cheers
We are currently harvesting right now, we got 500 acres of beans off during the past two weeks with 2 6088 case ih combines both 40 foot drapers heads, 2 grain carts both on 340 magnums and 3 grain semis. We tried to get anhydrous on our corn around normal time but it was too wet during the spring so we put 28 on our corn really late and with 750 acres of corn it will only average about 120 bushels per acre. Luckily we had 1300 acres of beans out so thankfully we got more beans than corn.
I am not a farmer on any standards and my mom is very non gmo organic person and you’ve made me realize that gmos aren’t bad. I never knew what drain tile was before you told me. I’ve learned a lot. And you make it very interesting. You’re very relatable. Thank you for the good videos Zach.
I'm hoping you remember me from past videos but I'm a farmer from Michigan and make videos too. We just finished off all of our beans and only have beets and corn left. Good luck this fall! (P.S. I liked your editing in this video!)
Grew up in small town in Kansas working on various farms all through out high school. My family has a farm with about 2000 acres that we rent out. Now I'm a real estate agent in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. I love watching these farming videos and it makes me feel very nostalgic for my hometown in Kansas.
Retired farmer from North Central Iowa. My son now operates the farm, he is the fourth generation of our family to farm the land. My grandfather started farming it with horses many years ago! Enjoy your channel My son and I both watch as time permits.
@Timer Farms, I'm not a farmer, but I am also from Michigan - metro Detroit area. Just came across the channel one day, and I like to see and learn about the different rigs and equipment. @MN Millennial Farmer Thanks for the great videos, and I like the style, too!
I from Indiana, not a farmer I am a welder, fabricator, maintenance and Foreman where I work but I did grow around and been on lots of farm machinery doing rebuild and fabrication repairs to the farm equipment back when my dad had his portable welding business and where I learned to weld when I was 7 years old and been doing it every since. Me and my dad has spent countless hours out in the fields and even out past midnight countless times trying to get farm equipment fixed and back up and running. I do enjoy watching your videos, brings back lots of memories. Thanks
I'm Matt and I am a farmer in Wisconsin. We farm about 6000 acres. This year bean yield is about 15% higher than average. Only about 1000 acres of beans to take off yet! How many acres do you farm?
I'm a cash grain farmer from Michigan. I grow corn and soybeans. About 2/3 of my time is spent on farming, and about 1/3 on woodworking. I enjoy and feel blessed to be able to do both.
I grew up on a farm in Manitoba about 4 1/2 miles North of the ND border. I have been away from the farm for 58 years but I still identify with your type of farming and really enjoy your drive and excellent management of your operation. You are running an excellent business and I am very happy to see that your dad is still involved and that it is a family farm. Keep up the excellent videos, I really enjoy them.
I live in Mansfield Pa. and am not a farmer but have done farm work in the past in my life and love all machinery ,shop facilities ,and various types of operations that are out their in Americas Farms.
I have a 43a farm in South central Michigan with 24a tillable. 10 in beans & 14 corn this yr. Youll like this. I have a Massey 1505 210hp 4x4 tillage tractor & a Ford 5000 for everything else. So the 21' disc & 25' field cultivator needed a partner so i just picked up a JD 12 row 7200 planter. With a JD 4400 combine , next yr to be upgraded to a IH 1660 Life is GOOD. Only seen a few of your vid's but nice work. Not a lot of filler. If your bored some day check out my vid's and see how us little guys do it. 👍🏻🚜💨
K J I grew up on a 52a farm near Bronson but I bought my own farm and started from there. I borrowed a few things from my brother bu mostly did a lot of searching for “great deals” on line and in the Farmers Advance. the guys at work call it “tractor porn” haha. I’d love to help ya any way I can.
I grew up farming. Driving all sorts of sizes and colors of equipment. My old man passed away and we as a family continued farming for about 5 more years. We just sold out 3 years ago. I miss it a lot! A part of me will always be gone because of it. Its a lot of work and stress, but make sure you always appreciate what you have. I miss running equipment and would do anything to do it again. I live through you now and love your videos. Keep posting them!
I'm in land O lakes Florida and just like farming, was born in in Salters S.C. on a farm and came to FLORIDA at the age of 9 years old but would always go back in the summer to work in the farm to buy school products.. I enjoy watching you farm with all the modern equipment and the strategy that it takes to be successful as a farmer in the 20th century. Thank you!
What an awesome channel. Not a farmer myself. My grandpa retired in 77 from farming and currently have an uncle that farms around 10,000 acres and another uncle that’s a livestock farmer. All from east central Illinois. Keep up the awesome videos.
City Slicker from Chelmsford, MA. Retired, so my leisure time pursuits include educating myself on a host of subjects including farming. I not only enjoy learning about farm processes employed and equipment used but especially hearing your comments on GMO's, pesticides, soil conservation, etc. I hear all the hype but feel it's important to hear the views from folks who work in agriculture. Balance, balance, balance... Enjoy your vlog, keep 'em coming.
Farm owner from Thief River Falls, MN. I used to farm but now I sit on my deck drinking beer and looking out over my plantation while the peasants do all the work. Nice shop! Now I know where I can bring my snowmobile to work on it. If your wife kicks you out of the house you can always sleep in the bedroom in the shop.
Not a farmer, but grew up on a farm (managed big hog farms for the big boys at one time). Live in Sunny Florida now. I miss the farm and love watching videos like this. Helps me re-live the fun years!
Grew up on a 300 acre dairy farm near sheboygan WI. Now a sociology professor looking for a hobby farm in southern maryland, near Leonardtown. Love your videos - very educational and funny.
Grew up on a farm in Sauk Centre, MN. I miss farming. I help my wife's uncle, son and son-in-law just south of Cold Spring, MN where we live in town and it drives me nuts in town. I have a preference for International (the original), Case IH, John Deere, New Holland, etc. fall in line behind that. However nowadays If I can get in the field to pick rock, sub-soil, haul grain, etc. and the brand doesn't matter anymore. As long as I am outside and on a farm I am good. I work in I.T. which if given the chance would leave in a heartbeat. Glad to of found your channel. Your doing the farming community a great service keep it up.
I am not a farmer today. I grew up on a small farm in Southern California - 5 acres Avacados. I was in 4-H and FFA and raised sheep, pigs, and steers for the County Fair starting in 1977 to 1984. I would have loved to have the option to Ranch or farm large acreages but my family was poor so I settled to become a Civil Engineer, which ranching/farming is good training for. I love your channel and live vicariously through your videos dreaming about what my life would have been like if I became a farmer. Based on involvement in 4-H and FFA, and growing a lot of vegetables, rabbits, ang chickens I have a pretty good understanding of what your workload is like. My heart is in farming but I 53 years old with 25 years of Civil Engineering experience it is to late for me to change careers. I would love to visit your farm someday, but not until you are comfortable with me. Keep up the good work!
I farmed with my father and brother when growing up in Comfrey, MN. I miss farming with my family a lot. I left the farm for college and became a civil engineering tech. My dad sold the farm and after that a tornado took every building on the site except the house. That was the year the tornado took 3/4 of Comfrey and went on to damage St. Peter MN. It was a F-4 I believe. Any way we had a large shed like you have but that is gone as well. We had a small dairy herd, milked 40 twice a day. Do remember milk cans? We eventually auto mated the station barn to pipe-line, bulk tank, barn feeder with conveyor, silo unloader with bunk feeder. Those were the days. My brother installed a stereo system in the barn, it calms the cows. Have a good one, Mark
I'm from Tasmania Australia, I'm not a farmer but my Grandparants and uncle are, my interest comes from spending time on there farms. Love you videos please keep them coming
I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now and I am fascinated with the technology in the equipment. I was raised on a small farm but it wasn't large enough to support me or my family. My dad died when I was 21 so it ended our family's farm life as well. I'm from Onion country USA, SW Idaho and Eastern Oregon. I learned a lot about how you farm on such large scale there where we are basically row crop with surface irrigation. Great videos.
From West Coast of Ireland. Grew up on a farm but not involved in farming now. I have been to Northern Minnesota a few times for the Ojibwe rally. Really enjoy your videos and the content and style. Thanks for making and sharing them.
Catching up with old videos... having spent 10 years working in IT, I am now at college training to be an Ag Engineer. I have learnt a lot about how implements and machines work from your videos!
From just down the river in Missouri. I’m not a farmer but a farm ground owner. I stumbled across the sight a few months ago and was hooked. Now starting at the beginning and working forward. It has been fun to see the evolution of the videos and your personality start to come out. Keep up the great work and Off the Husk is fantastic!!
Nice shop! I live in the Michigan State, between Sturgis and Centreville. I work in manufacturing facility full-time and help my neighbors who farm full-time. They just opened a large pork finishing operation and also grow crops including shell corn, seed corn, soybeans, winter wheat, alfalfa hay, sorghum, and potatoes. Mostly irrigated with center pivots but still have a few traveler runs as well. I grew up on a small farm and went to Michigan State for 2 years. I believe I've been genetically modified to love farming. Also a subscriber to Welker Farms. Great guys! Love your videos!
I could be a farmer, but I’m just a machinery-fanatic teenager living in the suburbs I like the sight of the combines rolling down the field being so into such machines
I was raised on a farm in SW MINNESOTA and a grad of the U OF M AG CAMPUS and a retired OTR driver . The equipment we had was antiquated compared to the stuff now and my favorite tractor was Oliver 88 , that’s how old I am . Really a nice shop ! I couldn’t afford to heat it ! Lol
Nota farmer but a CO in NYC and ran JD 5101E with a 15; flex wing (bat wing) and low boy trailer. Enjoy your channel. I just retired so watching your channel eases the pain.
Farmer from Scotland. I built a workshop in 2013/14 too. It has break room, office, toilet with shower, store room, tool area, air lines. So similar to yours but it looks totally different.
South Louisiana, not a farmer but always loved agriculture and farming. I take a lot of drone footage of our sugarcane harvest down here (and some rice too).
Hello from Wisconsin. I grew up just down the road from you in Starbuck on a hog and grain farm. Now a days I work in the medical field, servicing the rural southern half of Wisconsin. My brother and nephew still farm in the Starbuck area. Great videos!
I'm farmer from Serbia, and for the last 10 years I'm producing only corn and soybeans. No livestock, also. It's great for me to see both similarities and differences regarding to a crop production. Very best to you and your family, and keep up the good work!
Auto mechanic in central N.H. Grew up on a small family hobby farm (grew our own food, maple syrup, etc.) Always been fascinated by equipment of all kinds and that shop is incredibly nice.
Greetings from Spain! I used to lend a hand at my uncle's farm when i was a kid and i always enjoyed it. That was quite some time ago so watching your videos brings a lot of nice memories back... although farming has changed a lot since then. Thanks for your videos!
My dad grew up in Iowa in Sheffield, a town 20 miles south of Mason city on an 80 acre hog farm, my mom is from Central Pennsylvania and grew up on a dairy farm. I grew up in Baltimore County M, not on a farm D but have spent a lot of time between both farms growing up doing farm work. Enough that watching your videos makes me think of Iowa. My Aunt lives in Bloomington MN.
We're in Phoenix. My kids and I enjoy playing farming simulator together. And, have become interested in real farming. Thank you for making these videos.
Retired from packaged-ice and bottled-water business in southern New Mexico. My parents families were sheep/cattle ranchers and farmers. Great idea to see posters backgrounds. I appreciate the pace of your videos.
I grew up on a dairy farm in central MN in the 80's. Got out of farming when the parents sold the farm. Used to help a neighbor of the in-laws in SW MN with harvest in the early 2000's - mostly corn. That's the best kind of farming - get to play with all the equipment but don't have to pay for it :)
I am an architect from Indianapolis. Have been playing farm simulator for a couple years and found your channel couple weeks ago. Great videos. Amazed how many hats you have to wear as a farmer on a daily basis.
Farmer in North Carolina. to me your shop represents the fact of how your family has been successful in their farming operation. it pleases me to see others enjoying success. thank you for sharing. keep up the outstanding works.
Farmer, on a farm started by my great grandpa over 100 years ago only doing about 5000 acres of farm land and have 200 head of cattle, located in saskatchewan Canada. Best part was you said hoping the trucks would start before this shop was built, our two trucks sit in cold storage all winter and start without a problem in -30 to -40 Celsius temps in the winter! But nice video and it’s always a dream to have a big heated shop!
I'm from New Zealand, i grew up on a dairy farm - my parents are dairy farmers. We have about 500 acres and the only crop we grow is Maize - to feed the cows in the dry seasons. We do all out own ground work with one tractor, a John Deere 6420 - great tractor, although quite a bit smaller than what you run on your farm!
I'm a farmer in Oklahoma. Raise primarily wheat and sorghum. Do some baling and usually bale a circle of oats and sorghum sudan grass. Also run cattle year round.
I have a 10 acre vineyard ( wine grapes) and also an electrical engineer. Located in Lodi California. I really enjoy getting the perspective of a large farming operation. I’m amazed at the amount of ag industrial automation. Keep up the great communication.
I am a ginseng and grain farmer from Ontario, Canada. We are building a farm shop starting in April. You have an awesome shop! I got some great ideas to incorporate into our new one. Thanks for sharing, ken ....
I’m from the UK. We did a similar workshop heated by biomass. Like your doors and same as us, we never seem to get round to using those extra little rooms. Love your videos, Paul

Work for major US international airline, spent 11 years in Minnesota, so, I can understand your humor. Currently live in Atlanta area. Still have family farming in Ohio. I am from Oklahoma and we raise cattle we run right around 1000 pairs and then in the winter will usually try to put between 2000 and 3000 calves out on wheat. I don't know whether would be classified as farmers or ranchers about the only farming we do is a little bit of winter wheat mostly for feed for the calves but we also rent a lot of wheat ground in winter.
I’m a Produce, grain and tobacco farmer here from eastern North Carolina. Love your videos! Just started from the oldest videos and can’t seem to stop watching. Got a few more to watch lol but keep them coming and would love to see any and everything y’all do in the upper Midwest. Spent some time on a cattle ranch in Montana but nothing like the size you seem to be
I'm an assistant farm manager in Norfolk, England. I help to manage about 5000acres here but next year I'm leaving here and coming to the US to work on a harvest crew, so these videos are great for seeing how you guys do things over there!
You should do an updated shop tour with stuff that you have finished and changed
Yes, an updated tour would be nice to see how everything is now.

Farmer in Ontario, Canada here! Is that a heated concrete floor?
steinwaymodelb no, we decided against the heated floor because of the cost and slow recovery time. We have 2 large hanging units.
@@MillennialFarmer You should have. You can walk around the shop barefoot during winter time... Just saying

I'm from New Zealand and I'm not a farmer but play farming simulator 2017
Have a good one, Mark
not a farmer. Retired Navy CPO
Thanks for serving man!
Thank you Fulltimer
I'm from Tasmania Australia, I'm not a farmer but my Grandparants and uncle are, my interest comes from spending time on there farms. Love you videos please keep them coming
Grew up on dairy farm. Now in Manufacturing Management. From Grafton WI. Thanks for the videos! Enjoy watching.
I could be a farmer, but I’m just a machinery-fanatic teenager living in the suburbs
I like the sight of the combines rolling down the field being so into such machines
TroianusEquus very cool, thank you!
I’m from New Zealand. I’m not a farmer but I love watching farming videos. Love the JD equipment and your videos are awesome.
I grew up in southern MN farming. We had around 2000 head of beef and ran around 1500-2000 acres. A shop like that would have been a dream come true
I'm from Spring Hill, KS. Not a farmer just happened to watch one of your videos about a month ago and have been hooked ever since.
Nice shop! SE MN, non farmer but worked on one as a teen in the 70's. I totally miss the lifestyle and respect what you do.

Alton, Illinois. - 30 north of St. Louis. Right by the Mississippi River. Illinois River is 10 miles northwest and the Missouri is about three miles south. Not a farmer like you but grow one acre of Silver Queen sweet corn behind the house the past twenty five years. I just give it to family, friends, and neighbors. Enjoy your videos!

Cow/calf from central Ontario Canada. You are the only channel that I watch all your videos. Great info!
