Anyone that works at Airstream corporate that is going to make a video needs to watch Patrick from Colonial Airstream. That guy knows how to be engaging and at the same time describe the features in an understandable way. He is truly a great Ambassador for Airstream. I am sure he does very well at Colonial. Yes, we purchased from Colonial, but Nick was our Salesperson and did a great job also!!
What gets me is that all that money and they STILL put a 1000 watt inverter in them. You can’t even warm up dinner in the microwave. It is beautiful! I’m wondering if the flooring is standard plywood as well like they use in their trailers. If it is plywood, you are looking at MAJOR repairs in 7-10 years to replace it.
When does the airstream atlas B+ Coach Review comes to Germany, with all explationes in German translation words, for understanding for reparations for generator handling and so on.
For this price they should throw out the Onan diesel generator and allow power to be generated off the engine (others do it), throw out the propane bottles and offer the inductive cooktop and last but not least offer (can be an option) Cinderella, the Norwegian toilet incinerator. Then I shall buy it, without asking for the European style garage in the back. The built is gorgeous. The most beautiful B+ on the market, hands down. Also worth considering by them would be the all wall slide out like in Jayco Melbourne Prestige 24 LP, Coachman-Prism Elite 24EF or Tiffin Wayfarer 24 FW (with outside entertainment). Saying this as do not want them to sit on their laurels. Again, the built is amazing. Also, should be all year round. Overall great job, Airstream!
I just looked at a new one in Ft. Myers. The motorized stairs wouldn't extend. I researched the warranty. If all other remedies fail, it is your obligation and your expense to get the unit to Ohio at the manufacturer's facility for repair. I also researched the roadside assistance program. The website says you have a $2,000 trip interruption reimbursement, and they will send out a mechanic if needed. Then you look at the policy. The reimbursement is only for an accident, not a mechanical breakdown. And as for the mechanic, they will simply call him and dispatch him, and you pay for the service. All this is included in a $200,000 RV.
I understand there is no 4 wheel drive option available - it's an $8K option on the Interstate - but apparently is not available with the air- ride option on the Sprinter chassis. - Beautiful small coach for an old snowbird wannabe - I hope they don't raise the price by the time I get ready to buy one later this year.
I bought the brand new Atlas 2022: It's been a nightmare: 1. Water leaking from plastic tubing never crimped 2. Plugged into the two USB charging ports on the sofa and out popped a piece of black plastic rendering this unusable. These are defective and need to be replaced. 3. Exterior storage compartment door hits the exhaust pipe when opening and closing. This has resulted in the door finish being chipped off. 4. The USB charging port above the passenger’s seat is also not working 5. Luggage door alarm has been an issue for over 10 months! 6. The large cabinet doors are falling off, the hinge screws are coming out. 7. Wardrobe closet shelf falls from bracket, it was cut to short. MB of Scarborough stated it was repaired, not sure how as I still have the short shelf here in my garage. It would need a new shelf. 8. Plastic cap located in water fill compartment is broken 9. Silverware and wardrobe closets open when driving 10. Picked up RV from schedule service repairs to find water puddles on floor from refrigerator defrosting. This has happened two times to date. 11. Door hinge on camper access door coming apart 12. Exterior coating is cracking where roof meets the rear of the camper 13. Roof white seam tape is peeling off 14. Received recall notice on the emissions 2020 Sprinter 15. Panel under passenger side seat falls off when you open the door 16. Canopy caught on the extender arm and damage the fabric. The canopy was worked on at MB of Scarborough as it was leaning to one side, the technician adjusted the arms to remove the tilt 17. Airstream recall notice received “cooktop gas may leak” 18. First camping trip after the Atlas was in the shop for two weeks the macerator was not working, Airstream of Ohio found wipes in the waste line. We have never flushed wipes, it’s only my wife and I using the RV. Now I am paying for a new macerator pump 19. First camping trip after the Atlas was at Mercedes Bens of Scarborough for two weeks the TV would only come up ¾ of the way 20. After picking up the Atlas from service on there were grease prints and stains on the white leather seats, couch, and murphy bed. Not sure why the murphy bed required to be open as there were prints on the bed when we lower. Cleaned as best we could but some stains were remaining on driver’s seat. Photos sent to Airstream and MB of Scarborough 21. Small storage carpet is always wet, photo sent in a previous email to Airstream 22. Couch motor fail, couch in down position for most of the trip 23. Re-cracking of the body 24. Sofa failing to return to the upright position 25. Stabilizer jacks not extending, “stabilizers down” alarm sounds when in drive mode until silenced 26. At different time the recliner does not work that closest to the front of the cab
Lots of folks do. Airstream seems to be on the pricier end of the spectrum for B+ vans but the quality is visible and they hold their value better than many others, making them a great choice and more affordable than they first appear.
It's too bad this guy was forced to present at this show. Someone with actual knowledge and presentation skills instead of the pencil pusher who obviously would rather be elsewhere would be my choice...
How does Airstream sell these units in a state such as Minnesota, where you cannot buy biodiesel with a rating that conforms to the Mercedes Benz warranty requirements? $220k complete with a voided engine warranty? I don't think so!!
Look at Leisure Van MB and Regency Brougham MB and save about $30k and more useable options on seating. This guy needs a lesson from Dean on product knowledge and personality (Leisure Vans).
Aluminum may look nice, but it adds way too much weight. That's the problem with these "B+" coaches, the Sprinter chassis has a finite carrying capacity and this coach uses most of it before you put any people or cargo on board. Designing in weight savings should be a bigger priority, in my opinion. Also, Instead of an expensive generator and propane tank, I'd much rather have a high capacity solar and lithium battery system. Airstream is way behind on that front. Roadtrek's build quality isn't great, but they've figured out that a lot of customers just don't want to deal with propane or a generator. This is a beautiful coach, but I wouldn't consider one for the above reasons.
Absolutely agree 100%. Looks are gorgeous, but as soon as I saw that old, tired propane cooktop with its flip up glass cover, I thought "UGH." Give me induction, either built in or portable. Or AT LEAST give me the option. For that kind of $$, I expect the most modern technology in energy generation, not something 100 years old.
Is copying an other's design legal? At least not ethical no matter that LW or PW are Canada based? This very closely resembles a Leisure Travel Van Serenity MB interior layout. You are also copying classy Pleasure Ways Multi functional electrical Pad. Aluminum ceiling is heavy & glaring with lights on. Also,, no cooking or ceiling will need constant cleaning. Not child friendly,, finger prints on cabinetry. Small entry door. Ugly Unit. $216,000.00? YROOYELM (You are out of your ever lov'en mind)
Lynne Lynne people don’t buy these kinds of coaches to travel with their kids, this is more for traveling as a couple, so not being child friendly is irrelevant (or even a plus to some).

Was wondering. Does it come with a spare tire and solor panels? Also what about internet and cable TV?
Incredible what features you can pack into a small coach. Very impressive.
I agree. I feel Airstream has lived up to their reputation for quality and design in this unit.

Awesome. Big, elegant and good design
Great video!!!!
I'd buy it based on this man's recommendation alone!
Except the quarter million part.
I'm not soaked in money yet.
The best so far!!!
It is a very classy model. If you get the opportunity to tour one - take it. The fit and finish is simply amazing.
Where is the washer and dryer connection?
That will be next

Thanks for sharing the info!
Is this his first day on the job? Where do you hang clothes? Just saying a lot of storage tells me nothing. Show me.
Good point. Not his first day but some folks get a little tongue-tied when you point a camera at them.
Great delivery. Surprised he didn't mumble brag about how it came with wheels, and technology and stuff...
I think he drank too much at the hotel last night !!!!

dude spent the night before , ....drinking Scotch in a hotel room
I made the same comment !!!! FOR SURE - he is hung over !!!!! ha ha ha
I was thinking he was still drunk myself, complete inability to stand in one place. LOL!
It's too bad this guy was forced to present at this show. Someone with actual knowledge and presentation skills instead of the pencil pusher who obviously would rather be elsewhere would be my choice...
eighteeninseventytwo Lol...a block of dry ice!
eighteeninseventytwo - It’s not his fault, he had to entertain potential customers the night before and is still drunk.
Less than enthusiastic presentation despite great knowledge
Awww... Can’t you people recognize a man trying to do his job while fighting depression?
How does Airstream sell these units in a state such as Minnesota, where you cannot buy biodiesel with a rating that conforms to the Mercedes Benz warranty requirements?

I don't think so!!
That does sound crazy!
EMI PLEASE ?

Snowbirds & RV Travelers monthly payments !
muy buena van me prece muy buena opcion
Unfortunately, his hangover hasn't worn off from the night before. Confusion while spewing company points simply sucks
Was it just me or did anyone else found that the presenter sounded a lot like President Bush senior?
;)

I'm a huge fan of the new tech in Roadtrek as well.

The generator operates on the same fuel it's engine runs on, diesel. Pretty nice coach but high dollar for sure.
Again,,, "Where are the other Arm's for the Driver and Passenger Cockpit Seat's" !!! "NO ARM'S IS A DIFFERENT DEAL BREAKER" !!!
