i suffered from gout flares. 4 medications did not stop it. saw some dr. berg's videos. he suggested baking soda. took a teaspoon once a day. after 3 days the pain was 80 percent gone. natural remedy stopped an 8 weeks gout flare better than 4 medications. thank you dr. berg
I used to have gout attacks, in my early 20s I was overweight, 260 lbs at 5'9. What gradually made my gout go away was doing kale shakes, drinking water, less coffee, no beer. Then I started losing weight, alot of weight I started gaining muscle mass and started fasting. Fasted weight lifting sessions, Fasted cardio sessions. I drink water religiously now. An observation on people who have gout is that they dont drink enough water, have balanced electrolytes. I became a registered nurse and work in the dialysis and renal function dept. I noticed alot of people not drinking any water having kidney stones and gout. Even in the hospital during an emergency situation the solution was to drink water, yet patients denied it so we have to start IV fluids on them to hydrate and balance their electrolytes... PEOPLE, DRINK WATER, BALANCE YOUR ELECTROLYTES SO YOUR ORGANS CAN FUNCTION. What if our organs needed water to function? DUH do it, drink water, fast, eat veggies, WATCH YOUR LIFE TURN 180! yet people are so arrogant and stubborn.
So true kel, force yourself to drink water from sun up to sun down, after two weeks the ailments subside, after a month 60% pain gone! 90 days 90%! So simple.
My post from about 2 years ago below. I still have no gout attacks or symptoms. ""As a 30 year gout sufferer (71 YO), I found the following: Gout can be in any joint of the body - however most prevalent in the big toe. I had one attack in neck, many others in various joints. MD treatment and pharma meds on a daily basis did not stop my gout attacks. Gave up this strategy after about 3 years. Avoiding high purine foods and alcohol did not stop my attacks. Exercise and natural remedies helped more than any of the above. My daily cocktail was and still is: Dark cherry juice, turmeric, ACV, celery seed, fresh lemon juice w/pulp, cinnamon, black pepper. Even with the above cocktail the attacks become more frequent with age. Keto diet stopped all pain and swelling in 10 days. After that I switched from Keto to High Fat/Low Carb diet. Now, after 4 months, gout and related symptoms are still gone. I eat many foods that are on the DO NOT EAT if you have gout lists. Asparagus, mushrooms, pork, bacon, red meats, etc. Still drink some beer but in lesser amounts and it's low carb. Weight has decreased by 13 lbs. (now at ideal weight for my height) Blood pressure has decreased from ~150/78 to 120/71. Sleep is much better....."" SUGAR is the ENEMY.
My father in law has chronic gout and I advised him to drink baking soda ( 1/4 teaspoon in a glass of water 3 times a day 15 min before meals) and also stop taking fructose / glucose ( sugary fruits like - mango, banana, grapes, apple etc). in just 1 day his gout improved and now maintaining this routine!

@@simoncameron4355 hello sir, how long have you been using allopurinol? What is your dosage? Do you eat eggs, chicken, fish etc.. What is your diet?..your reply helps alot.
@@pram9832 I only take the allopurinol when I can feel the swelling coming on. I know my uric acid number is through the roof. Yes I normally eat 2 eggs for breakfast with onions and peppers on a piece of toast. I eat red meat, also eat a fair amount of venison. I am not positive but I think I figured it out though. I do IT work so throughout the day I don't move much so there is that, but I have been taking a little more salt in my diet. (Obviously the uric acid is heavier than water so my body has a harder time pushing it out) With more salt the blood is a little heavier which makes the uric acid a little lighter. I also have problems with cramps even if I am not working out hard or anything.
My daily supplements are. High strength cod liver oil capsules. Vitamin c with zinc. Vitamin b complex. Magnesium. Vitamin D. K2. Vitamin B1 high strength. Apple cider vinegar every morning. Trying to drink water whenever possible. Along with reducing the amount of alcohol and biscuits I used to consume has kept my gout at bay for the last 4 months. Before this I had gout that bad that I had to go to hospital so I’m very experienced with gout suffering.
@@safajordan8012 not sure where you got that from. In this randomized controlled trial, supplementation with fish oil (containing 6.2 grams of omega-3 fatty acids) had no effect on uric acid levels or gout flares among participants with gout. This Study Summary was published on August 23, 2022
Folic acid and Vit B2 lower uric acid levels like allopurinol they block XO Xanithan Oxidase in liver. That is why it is prescribed for Rheumatoid arthritis along with Dmards. Vit c helps flush uric acid crystals and doesnt burn Like alpha lipoic acid. B6 is good as diueretic calcium channel blocker calcium urate in gout crystals. Thanks for all the good research Dr Borg.
Tart cherries work for my whole family. I’m female and experienced it in my 30’s in the middle of the night and woke up screaming, sheet couldn’t even touch me. Ice pack and cherries saved me.
This is great new information!! Thanks! Gout was debilitating for my husband as he was having regular attacks in his big toe. He couldn’t walk, wear shoes, or sleep because of the pain. I searched everywhere for a solution that wasn’t a pharmaceutical. I landed on this solution: For over a year now, My husband takes this daily - three cherry extract capsules, 2 ACV capsules, two boswellia capsules, two alpha lapoic acid capsules. He has not had gout since. However, he has severe arthritis in the first knuckle of his right pointer finger and it’s very painful. I wonder if Dr Berg’s suggestions in this video would help with the arthritis.
My feat bones are permanently deformed after the crystalisation of countless gout attacks. 😢 Thank you Dr Berg. Will keep all your prescriptions in mind.
Cat's claw - I used that for a period to combat Lyme disease. I noted that I had less problems digesting bread and gluten while on that herb. The effect was so pronounced that I decided to research for cat's claw effect on inflammation. Turned out there was such research, and given my gut issues it was very rewarding to find a publication that dealt with the reduiction of inflammation specifically in the deeper gut lining tissue. Bingo ! It's a pretty hefty medicine with some side effects although in my case that could be partially the herxheimer reaction caused by infection die-off. Always get stoked when I discover something health-related myself - and double so when it comes back here on Dr Berg's excellent channel !
It helps with early onset of appendicitis, also. The first sign of pain (small pain, not doubled over in the fetal position), I take 4 cat's claw pills every hour until the pain stops.
@lindawade9647 quite some time ago, I think it was fatiguie and especially kidney pain that increased day over day. Cat's claw was the most likely cause of all the things I was taking back then, and luckily it was because it was a frightening experience. Complaints disappeared within 24 hours of stopping the cc.
Hello, I think this video has a lot of great advice. I have been studying food born illnesses since 1977 and have dealt with gout in my father and I have had horrible peripheral nephropathy to the extent that I couldn't even stand having a sheet laying on my feet. There are 2 foods that can actually overcome the pain entirely by riding you of uric acid. The best one is celery. Eat 4 stalks a day for 2 weeks and you will not have any pain. To a lesser extent strawberries work to. Of course you are right about sugar so stopping all consumption of sugar is necessary.
I had very mild case of gout, big toe and my knee. I used Chanca piedra for my gout. This herbal extract is for the urinary tract. My experience with it, it dissolved the stones, it also works for gall bladder stones and reduced the edema in my feet. I also think that it restores the functionality of the urinary system. I have since lost 70 lbs and am now at 255 lbs. A much healthier weight.
Another treatment we've used successfully for years is celery seed in capsules. Inexpensive and effective. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Dr. Berg. Always good to learn new treatments 🙂
@@carolcole570 True. It's spammers trying to make an easy buck from Dr. Berg's years of hard work. Few people on social media give out as much free and helpful information as Dr. Berg.

Best thing I ever heard about food/eating is “let’s change the word ‘diet’ to: ‘nutrition’. The word ‘diet’ implies something short-term and rather unsustainable. Whereas the word ‘nutrition’ implies something more long-term and much more sustainable. Just food for thought whenever talking to someone about cleaning up our eating habits 🤙
I have had problems with gout flare-ups for 40 years and have tried many holistic remedies as Alaperinol made my hair fall out. For the last 15 years, the one that has helped me the most is Black Cherry powder, when I first feel the coming on of a flare-up (usually at around 3 am ) if I get up and take 800mg of Blake Cherry Powder then 200mg every 4 hours through the day I can keep it from developing into a full flare-up. I have gone from several flare-ups a year to zero using this method. When I was in my late 50s through 60s I would take 2 a day as a precaution, but now only take them when I feel one coming on. By the way, the only place where I could find the Black Cherry Powder capsules was Puritan's Pride, I keep 5 or 6 bottles of 100, 100mg caps on hand and remember to bring one with me if traveling. I don't know if it will work for you, but it sure turned things around for me!
I'm 64, I've had gout since 16. In late 20s a nurse said you have gout. You have what my husband has but your to young. I'm 4 min. Into this video this guy didn't mention water. Drinking water till pee then more till pee clear. By a accident I found CBD. My arthritis specialist doesn't know. My doctor doesn't know. They sent me to surgeon. Good luck. I started my weight loss journey in February 2019. I followed the Keto diet, along with a candida diet (a lot overlapped), IF and long term fasting. Over the course of a year and a half, I lost a total of 228lbs (starting weight 428) . I was able to achieve this through hard work, perseverance, and guidance from people like you, Dr. Berg. For this I am very thankful. Along this journey, I had many complications, gout being a big one. Within weeks of starting my journey, I had a mild case of gout in my left big toe. Never experienced gout in my life (I was 41 at the time). It only got worse from there. Within a month plus, it became my entire left foot. Most pain I had ever felt, this coming from someone who broke many bones racing dirt bikes. It was ONLY after starting my diet did I experience this. This went on for roughly 8 months (on and off). It was brutal and debilitating. I was baffled because I was eating the healthiest I had in my life. Doing none of the habits that cause gout. I began to try and narrow it down, and believed it an excess of spinach in my diet, or possibly my kidneys were not used to a rapid expulsion of toxins in my body, therfore unable to filter quick enough (despite drinking loads of spring water). I eventually tamed it through diet adjustments, 0 medication, but went on to have kidney stones (I'll save that story). Long story short, thank you for this video, and all your others. But for anyone experiencing anything like I did, or for my own curiosity, have you run into, or heard of such a scenario? Thank you if you read this whole thing (if at all), and thank you for helping so many people (like myself).
It’s most probably an overload of protein. Regularly check the PH of your urine and you’ll learn a lot about what foods cause acidity. How much you eat also has a huge effect. If you’re urine acidity is really low and then you overload your kidneys with another high protein meal, your chances of gout improve immensely. Hydrion PH strips to check urine are less then $10.
Yes, try reducing the protein some and try to eat more fat. I had the same problem on Keto initially. I have weak kidneys from years of HBP. Naturopath said cut protein to 50 and it stopped.
@@robertkoehler1641 I've read somewhere that the process of autophagy caused by fasting can elevate uric acid levels temporarily thus causing flair up. Also, apparently the body prioritizes the exception of ketones over uric acid so serum levels rise when in ketosis. For me, proteins never seemed to cause flare ups but alcohol and sugars always do, even fruit. I eat more meat now than ever and things seem better not worse. And lastly, something I haven't seen anyone mention, is that persons affected by gout seem to have an alternative microbiota. Primarily candida overgrowth. It would seem that as people alter their diets to and make it inhospitable for candida to thrive in the intestinal track, conditions improve. This was definitely the case for me. And let's remember, alcohol can definitely disrupt gut microbiota. As well as excess sugars. I personally thing it's a gut disorder and candida overgrowth. Seems also many gout patients have some forms of IBS.
From what I've understood rapid weight loss can trigger gout flares as the uric acid has been stored in your fat and losing weight very rapidly releases it into your body raising your uric acid and causing flares.
Rapid weight loss is a classic cause of gout. Its the dying off of the cells that produces uric acid as part of the process which the body then has to remove. And your weight loss was absolutely rapid weight loss. Congrats on that BTW. The answer to that is to lose weight slower, but I think for your overall health that weight loss was more important, even tho that pain is off the charts.
My husband suffers from gout in his big toe.I put 1 cup of Organic apple cider vinegar into a mug half a teaspoon of Turmeric and 1 tablespoon of Honey. He sips this through out the day. I also make up a basin of warm water with two cups of epson salts he leaves the affected foot in the solution for 30 minutes. Then I get him to elevate his foot. I also get him to increase his water intake. I repeat on the second day. By the third day his gout is gone.
Putting a castor oil wrap around my toe has done WONDERS for me! Although I know my new diet and proper hydration have helped, prednisone and painkillers didn't help me one bit. I also used tart cherry extract.
I followed this and within hours noticed a change. I couldn’t even get all of the list. I also got the pain med from my doctor that they give all gout sufferers. This combo allowed me to sleep last night and this morning I am down 2/3 s of pain and 1/3 of the swelling. I took a very strong turmeric also.
Thank you for sharing. I get Gout in my ankle and I'll tell you its the most painful experience ever as you literally can't stand and forget about walking... If your suggestions work I would be over the moon with excitement. I'm going to try them...
Thank you Dr. Berg for sharing all your knowledge and wisdom. I don't want to take medicine rather do it naturally so I am so grateful. Bless Yah Dr. Berg 🙏🏽
@@gidds617maybe it depends upon the source of gout or any other arthritis. For me, as a diabetic, yes, the more sugar I have, the more pain I’m in, in about 1-2 days. Lots of pain and stiffness. Not sure if it’s actually gout though. But,’it almost feels like sugar crystals have migrated to every moving part, although that’s not how gout works. I’ve seen it recommended to take Vitamin C for gout and, since I already have some, I’ll take it starting today. But, again, I’m in less pain, when I eliminate sugar, like when I went OMAD and was only having an omelette per day. Plus, I lost 10 lbs that month. I added walking , but it’s the change in food that caused weight loss and less weight on joints, although I had less pain in non-weight bearing joints, as well.
i suffered with gout for 12 years until this year my new doctor put me on probenecid. I was having attacks every 2-3 months had a uric acid level of 9-10 very high. I started taking probenecid in January of this year and within a month my gout stopped all together. I have not had a gout attack in 7 months and counting. My uric acid level is now at 4 and has stayed there.
I used to get it in my baby toes, knees, thumb, and shoulder. The only relief I got was using the old time remedy of hitting the area hard enough to squeeze out the acid crystals. It wasn't until I went gluten and grain free, and caffeine free, that I stopped getting gout altogether.
How did you tolerate the pain? My husband's elbows wrists and feet are deformed from gout. He looks like he has golf balls on the end of his elbows. When he has a flare he can barely walk must less work. I've seen him crawl on his hands and knees just to get to the bathroom. It's unreal what gout does. I hope you are doing better. I couldn't imagine hitting the infected area. My husband would have passed out from the pain.
ginger, garlic and turmeric blended in a drink with lemon and honey. don't forget to add black pepper, it greatly enhances the benefits of Turmeric. Sweeten with honey but don't over heat the mixture. Pain gone in 3 hours
It sounds similar to golden milk which my Indian colleagues introduced to me, it was used to prevent or lessen colds . You would heat up, milk or almond milk, add tumeric, ginger, black pepper and homey. Drink while hot.
You're the greatest, Dr. Berg, and I can't wait to share this information/ video with a friend who suffers from gout. My source was oxalate. I had a flare and wasn’t doing seafood etc… did a urine test and oxalate was very high. I had just started juicing. Now I’m low oxalate and all my joint hip is gone. I’m actually thankful for the gout flare. 😂 Long term win.
The method that lowered my uric acid level (based on lab work) and made most of the pain go away: - an apple a day (you'll find the studies). Regulates liver function (relevant to purine metabolism) and creates malates (good for the kidneys). I put this between breakfast and lunch. For convenience. - 1-3 oranges. Usually in the evening (also backed by scientific studies). Raises urine pH and creates citrates (good for kidneys) - sports. Daily. Makes me drink more water. Sweating is not mandatory but will help the kidneys by unloading some crap from blood. - lowered purine-rich food intake. But I still can consume 100 g of protein/day. - part of daily protein intake is from dairy (mostly cheese and curds) and eggs (these don't contain purines) Orange intake is mostly correlated to purine intake (more purine-rich foods = more oranges), consumed a few hours after purine-rich food. As others stated in their comments, water intake is very important (but not enough by itself, especially beyond a certain age). PS: I'm omnivore, if that matters to you.
I'd be wary about the 1-3 oranges. I realized eating mandarines is a trigger for me (when i'm already having an attack, trying to eat more vitamin C, decided oranges would be good, learned quick it wasn't for me).
@@IAmNotARobotPinkySwearOuch! I suppose those mandarines might have more fructose. Fructose competes with uric acid on the renal elimination route (thus sugar should be lowered or avoided). I wrote "might have" because I don't like mandarines so I have no memory regarding their sweetness. PS: cool username.

The best way to avoid gout is to avoid the foods that you are allergic too.. for example my best friend has suffered from gout for years.. he now knows to avoid any form of fruit, so tomatoes etc.. any form of gelatine, so no pork pies. He’s absolutely fine drinking alcohol, wine and vodka are his drink of choice… that’s him.. discover what you’re allergic to
The 3 main drivers of an acute gout attack are alcohol, fructose & hyperglycemia. Very few gout sufferers can get & maintain their uric acid levels below the target range of under 6.0 without medication, regardless of lifestyle/diet. Allopurinol is extremely effective & safe. It is the key to gout relief.
Please don't spread misinformation. Allopurinol is absolutely not safe, and some people don't even get gout from high uric acid levels that they've probably lived w/ their entire life, its usually a trigger of some kind. To anyone reading this, please read up on long term side effects of allopurinol, if your doctor is prescribing this to you in order to maintain gout, you fucked up somewhere and should really consider that lifestyle/eating habit change.

At the time I was consuming a lot of gluten, sugar, carbohydrates and soft drinks with phosphorus. One night I had a dark beer and the next day I developed two bumps on my fingers. Then I cut out the soft drinks and gluten. Toned down the sugar, salt and carbs. I drank more water, celery juice and grapefruit. Dr Berg…. Unrelated but if you’re looking for topics, could you cover pulmonary sarcoidosis and include how it relates to foot pain (female, 42, unknown family history) please. Sounds crazy but that’s how I got diagnosed…from pain when walking in my feet, then swelling in my ankles. That got better but it led to my diagnosis which is also mild and I want it to stay that way. It’s a form of auto immune I believe but it depends who you trust 🤦🏼♀️ Love your work and thanks if you even read this ❤ Tracy
Same advice to you as above. Most doctors are not lyme literate. Once they find an alternate diagnosis everyone is happy. But the suffering will continue and worsen. Best do do the Igenex blood tests for Lyme. Get a proper diagnosis from sensitive tests.
I strongly agree with eliminating fructose. Uric acid and fructose use the same protein transport out of the body but preferentially uptakes fructose to remove it, so stores the uric acid to maintain blood pH levels in its very narrow pH range. Once I learned this I went from having been on a cane for years to being able to reliably walk without it in just 3 weeks. Dissolving and drinking some baking soda in water helps to raise the pH allowing some of the uric acid to decrystallize but if you aren't helping your kidneys remove it by stopping the fructose you will only get a temporary benefit. With regards to diabetic and pre-diabetic's being more likely to have gout, I wouldn't be surprised to find thats due to more sugar (and therefore fructose) in the diet.
Yes, Dr. Berg! Was diagnosed with Gout along with neuropathy & been drinking cherry juice upon your advice & haven't had a flare-up for a few months now. Was taking Allopurinol, but not anymore.
@Incognito Burrito Oh yes, I can really tell that cherry 🍒 intake works. Probably better than prescribed Allopurinol. I've been out of Allopurinol for 3 months now, and just drunk 🍒 juice regularly & so far, no flair ups. Oh, and I still eat the forbidden foods like sardines and pork & still no flare-ups.
He’s mentioned cherries in other gout videos, for me cherries didn’t work, I noticed that my gout flares up disappeared with in 2 days as long as I drank 1 gallon of water per day and ate 5000mg of potassium through food. After eating high potassium foods I felt major relief the next day, it makes sense, without enough potassium your kidneys can’t function and is probably the root cause of why your kidneys can’t excrete Uric Acid
When gout flares I take a rounded teaspoon of baking soda in 8 oz. of water every 2 hours for a day. Very salty and just a lousy tasting drink but the pain is gone in 14 to 16 hours. I then stop the baking soda. The swelling takes a few days to go down but no more pain.
I was experiencing gout. And this man right here suggested on a video that it was possibly a reaction from too much vitamin C I was taking vitamin C supplements. The problem with taking some supplements is they put other things in those pills if you take a keto pill for they are saturated with purine which will cause gout and other major complications. How these people are allowed to put these add-ons into the supplements is beyond me it's like someone saying Okay we're going to give you a multivitamin with rat poison. And this is something that scared me. I had some bread that got left in the backseat of my car. Six months later the bread was in the exact same condition. So I took it out and set one slice on the porch to see what would happen. Insects wouldn't touch it no ants. No birds nothing. And the bread did not rot. There's something seriously wrong with this bread. I think I should get it chemically analyzed.
I would usually get gout every couple weeks or so. And i can assure you it's everything that deals with your diet. Also your water intake. You need to play around with your diet as to what will start it, to find out what and what you CAN NOT EAT. Always have cherry juice on hand, preferably the one from Trader Joes. That helps a bunch! Celery is a good one as well. For me my gout starter is Sugar mixed with the other foods such as shrimp and fatty pork. You also need to work out too and dont be overweight. But overall, watch your diet! That is the key. If you want to get rid of your gout attack naturally, drink Cherry Juice and eat celery. During this process drink alot of water. Hard boiled eggs are good as well to eat during your gout attack. Good luck. Ask me questions if you like to get rid of gout. But the Cherry juice & Celery work wonders. It's not instantaneous but it will get rid of the attack.
The best gout pain reliever for me has been stinging nettle tea. Almost instant relief. Haven't tried celery seed extract/celery juice, but I have tried ACV, baking soda, Epsom salts, devil's claw & ibuprofen.

Add a few drops of cherry extract in a glass of water. Or eat 10 cherries a day (any kind, frozen, fresh, dried), just take when you feel onset. Repeat for a few days as necessary.
The best treatment for my constant gout in my right toe was tart 100% cherry juice, just 1/2 a glass a day until it was 100% gone, took 3 days, and 1/2 glass 8 ounces once a week and it never came back. It's been a year now since I have had any gout issues. Walmart $6 a bottle. I tried taking numerous meds , never worked for me.

After years of gout flares I have discovered that sugar is the culprit. I ate a huge amount of candies three days ago and had a major flareup, Howerver I havent had a flareup for a few months which is very unusual. I have been taking fish oil capsules two a day and this seems to be the factor that has kept the gout at bay -- plus staying away from sugar. No more sitting with feet in icy water to take away the pain of gout.
I’ve been dealing with gout for many years now and I don’t think anyone understands it completely!!! For me sugar is the main trigger and dehydration will cause me to flare. I’ve been on keto for 3 months and have quit drinking alcohol 100 percent and have not had a flare. Gout is brutal!
Sugar was mine I love ice tea and would have at least one glass a day and it caused me to have gout. So I cut it completely out of my life now. He needs plenty of water to help rid Uric Acid from the kidneys. Also, reduce high purine foods like organ meat, and red meat in general. No beer. Take Tart Cherry Extract. This works very well!
Uric acid gets deposited in the form of Mono sodium urate. Consuming potassium rich diet will replace sodium atom in the compound and help flush out the Mono sodium urate speedily from the joints. Turmeric, banana, potato, sweet potatoes etc are good source of natural potassium.
Very interesting information. I haven't heard of these, so I will look into adding some of them to my normal diet.
My daily cocktail was and still is:
Dark cherry juice, turmeric, ACV, celery seed, fresh lemon juice w/pulp, cinnamon, black pepper.
Even with the above cocktail the attacks become more frequent with age.
Keto diet stopped all pain and swelling in 10 days.

What side effects did it cause for you?

quite some time ago, I think it was fatiguie and especially kidney pain that increased day over day.

I also get him to increase his water intake. I repeat on the second day. By the third day his gout is gone.

Juicing caused gout? Was it spinach?
The method that lowered my uric acid level (based on lab work) and made most of the pain go away:
- an apple a day (you'll find the studies). Regulates liver function (relevant to purine metabolism) and creates malates (good for the kidneys). I put this between breakfast and lunch. For convenience.
- 1-3 oranges. Usually in the evening (also backed by scientific studies). Raises urine pH and creates citrates (good for kidneys)
- sports. Daily. Makes me drink more water. Sweating is not mandatory but will help the kidneys by unloading some crap from blood.
- lowered purine-rich food intake. But I still can consume 100 g of protein/day.
- part of daily protein intake is from dairy (mostly cheese and curds) and eggs (these don't contain purines)
Orange intake is mostly correlated to purine intake (more purine-rich foods = more oranges), consumed a few hours after purine-rich food.
So cool! - I woke up just now with a gout attack in my toe and immediately came here to look up what Dr. Bergs previous videos had to say. It looks like he was thinking of me for today!
I have grate success whit your video about potassium and baking soda. That did the trick for me, My gout attack was gone in 1 day (It usually takes weeks) and so far no more flare up! Thank you for your knowledge!
How to use this dosis ?
I took 200mg potassium 2 to 3 times a day and 1 teaspon baking soda in water.
It can happen in your ankles, knees, shoulders, and fingers on top of your big toes.
Yup.
Thank you for sharing, my husband suffers from this.
You're most welcome.
The best foods for gout are probiotic foods like sauerkraut and kimchi. Consuming large salads may also be beneficial.
The best natural gout protocol:

The best way to avoid gout is to avoid the foods that you are allergic too.. for example my best friend has suffered from gout for years.. he now knows to avoid any form of fruit, so tomatoes etc.. any form of gelatine, so no pork pies. He’s absolutely fine drinking alcohol, wine and vodka are his drink of choice… that’s him.. discover what you’re allergic to
THANK YOU!!!!!! Wish there was more info on this. Very hard to find. I get gout in my ankles and stops me from walking for 2 weeks.
Had gout in my big toe for twenty years. These past three months I’ve been taking a 50/50 mix of a cereal-spoonful of apple-cider vinegar and one of honey in a large glass of hot water twice in 24 hours. Nice taste. Gout gone!

Thank you for all that do !
It’s just amazing 👍
Please, have you tried eating black cherries and cured of gout? Did you take cherries as a powder?
I started my husband on black cherry concentrate and it has made a big difference.
Try apple cider vinegar,it word for me

Yes black cherry capsules. My husband had gout yesterday and he took 4 today and the pain is gone
Had gout twice. White mulberry extract and tart cherry capsules work like magic.
Agreed Tart cherry juice is what I use
I had gout and tophus. It was so bad I couldn't have a blanket even rest on my toe and it had a wound that wouldn't heal. Also during the worst of it all my joints were hurting. Now I'm gout free and the tophus is gone also the bumps on my fingers. Funny thing is during my recovery I ate a ton of bison meat, butter, cream and coconut oil and I still do with no hint of gout.
The book "Drop Acid" is helpful in this regard. Yes, primarily, reduce fructose.
Did you take all of the recommended supplements in that book? Did it work for you? I just read it. I need to get my UA down big time.
@@stevetb7777 I don't have gout. I do take the Garden of Life supplement formulated by Dr Perlmutter. I haven't been doing it long enough to know the impact (haven't tested again yet.)
Half a lemons everyday, mother's apple cider vinegar almost everyday for me keeps gout away.
Plus my kidney complains after I have red meat so at times I'm always drinking water
I'm going to try some of these things as I need to find a replacement for Allopurinol because of being on them because of kidney stones and because when I stop Allopurinol many of the problems start to come back
BUT several other problems have reduced dramatically or gone
I was having single eye double vision for well over a year which is now gone
What I describe as brain fog (thinking straight) is considerably less
The aches and pains in my shoulder & neck would feed of each other & cause intense pain & need of serious pain killers are now at a tolerable level at worse
My lower back spasms were happening weekly & I have had one minor one in the last 3 months
The balls & outside metatarsals in my feet were in agony & now the pain is gone
And load of other little aches are gone or reduced
I have put these problems down to just getting old & now realise Uric Acid seem to be the problem
I have also drastically changed my diet to help this problem
Thank you for this post and information
I used to suffer from gout attacks/flares, always kept a cucumber or two in the fridge for those days, just a few bites was enough to make it go away in about an hour.

I mean if it works for you great, but I think this is definitely one of the more out of touch comments I've seen on youtube.
I use either tart cherry capsules or just eat cherries if they’re in season! Get’s rid of it fast, within 2 days!!!
It’s a form of auto immune I believe but it depends who you trust 🤦🏼♀️
Love your work and thanks if you even read this ❤ Tracy
I used to get gout attacks on the regular, but since I eliminated most of the sugar from my diet a few years ago I haven't had any.
I am interested in the side affects of the medications. I would love to learn more! Thank you!
Yes, Dr. Berg! Was diagnosed with Gout along with neuropathy & been drinking cherry juice upon your advice & haven't had a flare-up for a few months now. Was taking Allopurinol, but not anymore.
Tart cherry juice works. I take condensed form of it to keep mine at bay.
@Incognito Burrito Oh yes, I can really tell that cherry 🍒 intake works. Probably better than prescribed Allopurinol.

I take a large dose of sour cherry extract and it stops a gout attack pretty quick. Also celery seed does also.
That's nice. Thanks for sharing what works for you.

You need salt. Rice is sugar, avoid that. Bread is sugar, avoid that. Eat Red Meat, fatty, heavily salted.
I started the carnivore diet months ago. Haven’t had gout since
Add a few drops of cherry extract in a glass of water.

@@JeanLucConnery yes it does, low glycemic. That is why I only drink 8 ounces once a week. I rather be gout free vs worrying about the fructose. Drink only 100% tart organic cherry juice, no sugar or preservative added brands

Gout is a form of arthritis and the more you get it especially in the same place the more the bones get destroyed and you’ll have constant pain.
