Grid Clipping for Cryo-TEM

In this video we demonstrate the procedure for clipping EM grids as well as inserting the clipped grids into the Thermo Scientific Talos Arctica cryo transmission electron microscope. This cryo-TEM is one of the wide range of microscopes available at the Electron Microscope Unit in the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre at the University of New South Wales.
Please note: Extra care must be taken when working with liquid nitrogen. Always follow the Safe Work Procedure for the task, including wearing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
