Definitely the float needle. If it sat forever those small o-ring's like to stick every now and then. But sounded more as if it was overfilling the bowl to me. Had that issue with a few italian bikes I used to work on at MTF. Bogging on landing or take off because it was overflowing. Sounds minty though! Hopefully I'll be back on a bike soon.....

Crazy good deal. As far as the bog, easy way to be sure is to take the carb apart and set the float height and needle position back to stock and then adjust jetting from there.
I think since it hasn't been rode hard it had a buildup of oil in the pipe and crankshaft area, that's why it started smoking when he started running like it should be and burning that out. Don't think it will have that problem anymore lol.
Awesome find dudes. You should see the 07 cr250r I just found. Just as mint, believe it or not it was cheaper than this yz. Still a smokin deal on that yz btw. I’ve always liked the 13s

I would just take the carb apart and see if there is any dirt or build up in the bowl that could keep the float from raising all the way or like u said those float needles are sensitive to any dirt or build up

2700 I just had to pay 2600 for a beat 01 yz250 that need tires still but needed front break assembly and everything for the throttle
Gunk in the petcock, gunk in needle and seat, rusty float pin, mis-adjusted float...but honestly just probably it being mixed to rich + old gas. Sounded way crisper after the fuel change and the last bog.
My bet is that the power jet was half way clogged causing it to lean out and run out of fuel

If i let my YZ sit for too long, i have to drain the bowl. Sometimes have to clean out pilot jet, main and power jet. It's hard to say. If it was me, I would take the carb off and do a thorough cleaning of it and rebuild it. New plug. New reeds. Just for peace of mind. You would be out 30 minutes and $75 give or take.
I picture th dude that had that bike doin a few laps around th yard wth tennis shoes on an no helmet...2 hrs max...
needs the carb cleaned, because of the bog, i bought a used yz250 and it did the exact same thing.

Nice price for a pretty mint bike, although its a 2013 still like like it came out 2 or 3 months from factory, i bought me a 03 yz250 for $1400, has a great powerband and still stock from factory didnt need anything but a fresh tune up/ gas/ and better tires

Suspension looks soft.. if yall ever need a practice track. I've got one in Holladay tn. All together 100 acres me and my buddies built it about 6 years ago it's about 4 acre track it's a mint track tabletops doubles triples built it for quads at first then went to bikes then freestyle

I bet the gas that was in it contained ethanol, and because it sat around for a while it probably accumulated some water.

Its a great deal, I paid 2800 for 2010 it's nice and clean but not as clean as this one but better priced then most bikes that are for sale
