Who here has given the Arnold Press a try? It's a great exercise to really blow up those shoulders! Share this video with a friend that needs to learn how to do it properly. Time Stamps: (0:00)- Proper Form Common Mistakes: 1. (1:54)- Not rotating properly 2. (3:11)- Losing tension 3. (3:30)- Doing this exercise too heavy
I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
I saw several videos of this being performed incorrectly, involving an extra movement where the arms are unnecessarily widened. Thank you for posting a video of it being done properly for those who need to see it.
You also want to engage the rear delt on this exercise too, you want to rotate back almost like you are doing a behind the neck press at the top of the movement. The Arnold press is a standing exercise that can be done sitting down also. It's not a seated press but can be done that way. Arnold did them standing up almost exclusively. He would often run the rack starting at the heaviest DB and working his way down to the lightest, going to failure with each bell. You can't run the rack sitting down. At least these guys didn't lock out at the top, although you should almost touch the bells together above the head with the thumbs lower than the little finger, really feeling the rear delt contract. It's a 3 head delt exercise. That's what makes it so great.
Great video and explanation of the dos and don'ts. A lotta incorrect videos out there. I'd also add that a lot of folks are locking out overhead and loosing the tension there as well. Arnie was specific about that in his encyclopedia. SUB'd!
I love how you teach the right technique. Far too often I see the “rotate out then press” movement, which isn’t any different from a standard press. And thank you for not wasting any time. I’ve been lifting for several years so usually I recommend these type of videos to friends as something to learn from and this one hit the nail on the head. Quick and informative. Subscribed.
Much to do about a simple exercise. Watch this without the sound, very little demonstration, and a lot of wasted time. Always protect your shoulders from injury, if this doesn't feel right stop doing it.
Just tried it tonight. My motion was not controlled enough coz I had no idea of it and thus I failed. Hell, could've watched it earlier... missed it by that much. Next time, baby. Thanks for the great tips. Peace..
MONEYMONAY one day if you do his exercises and follow his blueprint to cut and mass you will. If you’re training to be mr. Olympia you will look like him.
Don't think a video has ever pissed me off so much. you say you're not wasting time then you did exactly that. Stop fucking talking and show how to do t he work out. You even stop after 1 rep just to talk for 40 more seconds. Legitimately said what the fuck in the middle of the gym just now.
Didn’t like the video. Explanation is terrible. Arnold press is the king of shoulder exercises. It hits all three shoulder heads. You forgot to mention it hits the rear. You probably didn’t mention it because you didn’t even perform the movement of from starting with your palms facing you to fanning outward with palms facing out. That hits the rear. Then you go into a normal shoulder press which his the front. Then when going down and back to beginning form of the exercise in 1 smooth movement it hits the lateral. The whole movement is 1 moment basically in a triangle

Moronic move. This scrawny clown doesn’t know what he’s talking about. This exercise is a complete waste of time. Stop it.
Definitely the best tutorial I have seen for this exercise. I know it isn't too hard but I have really struggled with the rotation bit in the past.
Happy to help out!💪

Thanks a lot! I did this exercise wrong
Glad to help :)
What's so much different from this exercise and normal DB shoulder presses
The rotation changes the target muscles
What is the perfect weight to use for the exercise? 10 pounds or 12, maybe 15?
I prefer keeping elbows close to hips to engage triceps
Good video
1:28 if anyone wants to get right to the press
Are you going to make anymore shopping videos?
Like in the grocery store? If so, yes!
00:00 "not gonna waste any of your time here" 01:05 start of the exercise.... what a joke

There’s no such thing as little small details that’s not proper English
FIRST
My arms wobble like crazy doing this. Is that too heavy
If you can still get the weight up it may be a focus and breathing/core thing. let me know if that helps.
