Trip Forman talks with REAL Team Rider Cody Craig about his Christenson Ultra Tracker. Get your Ultra Tracker here today: www.realwatersports.com/colle...
Just bought a Christenson Ultra Tracker today here in Honolulu. 7'6" with an 81/4" fin. Bought it 2nd hand for $850. Can't wait to try it out here on the South shore of Oahu and see if the hype is true!
Had this board for a few weeks now and am shocked (SHOCKED!) by how easy it is to ride. Slides into a wave with amazing ease, is very quick off the line, and has almost intuitive handling. The biggest surprise is how easily it changes direction for a single fin. Easy replacement for a quiver of boards except for when the ocean only offers ankle peelers. I was initially a little skeptical when I first held it because of the foil, but no more. Think Mr C might very well be a genius.
@@alessandropaladino6283 Actually comes alive in bigger and cleaner waves though fin selection and position are important. Thicker foils and large area fins really slow it down.
@@mikeanderson1610 I'm an original flat tracker owner (7'0) and thinking about getting a new board. I was looking at the c-bucket but it seems this new version really improves performance in juicer surf. I'd go with the most versatile one between these two but not sure about which one actually is.
Why is Christenson not making the Flat Tracker 2.0 anymore? Is it basically extinct because the Ultra Tracker replaces it in both poor and better conditions? I have a handshape copy of a custom FT 2.0 and love it, but want to order another custom.
The Ultra Tracker is a fine-tuned midlength single fin designed to give you glide and the ability to lay down big turns. The Long Phish is a twin fin that is insanely fast down the line. It will surf much more like a performance fish but with a longer rail line for surfing better waves.
Thanks for finally doing a review on this board! I love my Flat Tracker 2.0 and will be upgrading to this once it dies.

Great review as always, have you reviewed the JS Big baron?
Finally!
Any recommendations for a fin for a 7’?

How’s the ultra tracker compared to the long phish ?
