Wow great freaking interview! So it is possible to film a movie without a script?
I've been seriously considering trying this first because of the way concepts comes to me.

Thanks Maverick! Many documentaries are filmed without a script. Many years ago we made a narrative feature without a screenplay. It can be done. But it most likely means you will spend a lot more time editing.

We appreciate it. We would recommend starting with a scene or short piece and getting your practice in with the whole process. Best of luck! We had filmed a dozen or more improv shorts and a scripted feature before making our unscripted feature.

PS - Sing Sing ended up with a script. They just hadn’t written the new version when they initiated talks with Colman.
