    I bought the capsule-it kit after watching your Beet video, as I don’t like the taste, but wanted the health benefits. I love it. I have done, beets, turmeric and my veggie + mix. There is a learning curve, but I am getting faster at it. I didn’t want to count out the capsules all the time, so I counted them out once and weighed them, so now I just weigh them and I get close to what I need +- a few. I bought some 10” kitchen tweezers on Amazon to help me with mostly the little caps when they go in the hole the wrong way, easier for me to get them out then with my fingers.

    I have this and it is great. You can purchase caps and bottoms already separated

    There are websites (amazon included) where you can buy capsules already separated! You pay a tiny bit more, but it's such a time saver.

      You are correct! I did my first round unseparated and quickly decided it's worth the extra $2 to buy the separated👍

    Thanks for video! I hate beets 🤢 but I am thinking of making beet power since I can get the nutrition without eating them 😊.

    That is a great idea for the new freezer dry I just got today. So how do you prep the veggies to make the capsules?

    • @enunya
      @enunya 4 месяца назад

      Do you mean to make the powder? Grind it in a blender, food processor, spice grinder, mortar/pestle, whatever you like. If you mean the actual veggie prep, depends on the veggie. Some things you have to blanch or cook and some things you can use raw.
      Edit: He's got TONS of videos for almost everything

    Question: wouldn't it be a little easier/faster if while you're separating the capsules, instead of tossing both ends into 2 bowls, you toss the cap in a bowl, but flip the bottom piece upside down and put it onto the plastic piece that has spikes pointing up and then just position the holder over that and flip both so all bottoms are properly positioned and loaded? Just a thought.

      I have fat fingers and these capsules can get misshapen or smashed. It wouldn't be very easy for me but sounds like a good time saver if you could do it.

      For most powders, I do not use an oxygen absorber unless they will be stored for long periods of time

    Can dehydrator powders be used if not have freeze-dryer?

    • @live.life.simple.
      @live.life.simple.  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think certain dehydrated powders will work, but dehydrating eliminates much of the valuable vitamins and nutrients

    If you are freeze-drying 100% natural fruit juice into powder, what is the suitable powder stabiliser can one use? I want the juice powder to remain a powder for an extension of time. HELP!!!

    • @enunya
      @enunya 4 месяца назад

      Just my $0.02, but you might as well be freeze drying soda if you're not drying the whole/mashed fruit. Doing juice like that is hard because its mostly sugar and its sticky when dried. It's good to reconstitute, but no reason to put it in a capsule, its just flavored sugar with a few vitamins. The nutrients are in the pulp.
      Edit: I may have read that wrong, so if you're drying to use as juice for later, I see what you meant! Just make sure to keep it sealed and powder it well, it should stay a powder unless exposed to moisture. Trying vac sealing it in mason jars with an O2 absorber in a muffin paper sitting on the top of the powder, it helps keep the powder going into your machine if you arent using a chamber. I did some sugary eggnog and it's still a powder 3 years in.

      Freeze dry the entire fruit (most you can do the peels and skins) instead of the juice. The juice is mostly sugar. If you do the entire fruit, you are getting way more nutrition and fiber.

    Hey man, was just curious with ur XL, what max weight of food can u do or would do in it? Harvest rights description sais it can do 40-50 pounds per batch (10,000 poundsper year)......but other websites that sell em say less (30-40 pounds 5000 per year) what's ur opinion on this, what max weight would u put in the XL

    • @live.life.simple.
      @live.life.simple.  8 месяцев назад

      It's really impossible to measure the weight, its more accurate to do cups for capacity. The difference from HR and other sources may be the tray rack. Older models only had 6 trays and the newer have 7. Each tray holds about 15 cups.

    • @TheRealBatCave
      @TheRealBatCave 8 месяцев назад

      @@live.life.simple. reason I'm asking the specs given by harvest right for the 7 tray xl is 40-50 pounds per cycle, yet I was talking to them yesterday about a 35 pound batch of fruit I did taking 98 hours (including freezing) was long, they technicians told me 35 pounds is way 2 much, which isn't really 35 pounds on those 7 trays of mangos barely even touch each other on the trays, just I'm getting conflicting specs from technicians and thier own manuls/website kinda seems a lil false

    • @live.life.simple.
      @live.life.simple.  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheRealBatCave mangoes, pineapples, oranges, watermelons and similar makeup.will take forever. They are mostly water. You may be able to cut it down a little by pre freezing

    • @TheRealBatCave
      @TheRealBatCave 8 месяцев назад

      @live.life.simple. for sure, I guess I'm just asking what max weight your xl specs say, like I was saying thier website says 40-50 pounds of food per batch, but the technician was blown away that I had 35 pounds in there honestly it didn't even fill the trays completely I dunno
