Hello I hope you enjoyed this review of the Mucar CDE900 4 systems scanner.
I enjoyed using the scanner its very easy to use and easy to understand.
I would not deter you from buying this scanner.
I recommend to anyone as you have to know what the cars computers are seeing in order to diagnose issues. You can also get a good idea of possible issues before purchasing a car.
I hope this helps

Beautiful cars in the shop Lou! Amazing what level of Mechanic you have become. Proud to know you
Many thanks for such detail review. Going to get one now.
Could you, please, provide the software version of your device? i wan to be sure about which one is the latest...
Sou do Brasil, estou importando um CDE900... Sabe me dizer se ele faz teste de atuadores também?
Sounds Good but makes you realize the capabilities of the scanner only being limited by the Software. I did buy it either way but I don't have your capabilities. It's still a great scanner for the manner
very useful~
Great video Master Tech Lou!
You rarely disappoint... That thing seems to do everything!
I have an issue with video though. You said you drive a Dodge Journey van? Really? Was it a gift or something? That's the only way I'd drive one... (just kidding)
I think they should change their name, Mucar to Racum or something. I'll work on a better name and contact them when I got one. Till the next video...
Is it capable of erasing airbag failures with the full functional upgrade? Thanks for the review
Yes it has worked for me on a few models.
THANK YOU!! Can you tell me how to turn on the sound of the mucar cd 900? It doesn’t work via bluetooth, there are no ports for headphones, maybe something needs to be improved? Thank you!!
If its the beeping, its in the settings menu
Rollback the millage is possible with that?
habibi, ty
I need help. I have a 2012 Opel Astra 2.0 CDTI with an automatic transmission. Can I use this device to clear the transmission memory, meaning to reset what the car has learned, and start the process from scratch? When the transmission adapts, it doesn't work properly, but when the memory is cleared, it works perfectly for about 1500 km. Which additional options package would be suitable for this? If I purchase the package with all vehicles and options, will it include that, and is the process of clearing the memory and learned settings complicated?
Hello and thanks for the question it would be best to reach out to the company direct for that one.
Hi Lou , sorry to bother you but does the scanner reset the BMS after replacing a battery. Thank you in advance.
Never a bother, what model are you asking about? Or are you asking in general if it will do it for all models? Either way my answer will be probably not. As its just supposed to be a enhanced obd scanner with the option to upgrade to 4 systems. But even then theres not much services it is supposed to perform although in my video it does show theres some glitch where the scanner is scanning all modules in the car. It’s weird and they’ll probably make a software update to remove it. So in short, no, I wouldn’t expect this to do that.
hi, i have the same one, can someone help me how to change my miles (kilometers) thank you
Can it read saab?
Laughed out loud when talking about the name Mucar - "who was in charge of that"?! 😮😂😂
allah barakfeek
Im curious how long does your stay charged? I just got mine new on amazon about 2 or maybe 3 weeks ago, turned it on when i got it, hooked to wifi, it was already updated. Never used it yet, turned it on tonight and the battery was dead, it had 99% when i shut it off. I deffintly shit it off? Do they just not stay charged long?
Mine stays charged for a long time, I check it for updates from time to time, gotta be 100% sure its turned off as I did think mine was off one time but it was just sleeping and it killed the battery, I usually tap the power button just to see if it’s actually off. But mine has kept charge for a few weeks off, maybe 80% battery left.
@@MasterTechLou Thank you for the reply. I was sure I turned it off all the way, now I'm doubting myself. I did just notice it has the screen sleep with one short click, just like a cell phone.
I'm going to fully charge it and I'll see how it goes this time making sure it's actually off when I'm not using it.
I'll report back in some weeks either way.
@Master Tech lou what's the coupon code for $45 discount?
Ok so theres no “code” its on amazon under the product listing theres a box to check to “activate coupon”. Hopefully its still there for you if interested.
Will scanner check GL550 Benz seats
No it will not but the pro will if you upgrade it.
can this scanner read any faults about turbo of the car ? Is it something we can see in engine module ? If we dont buy 4 systems diagnose and just buy the scanner with basic fucntions then what would be the difference of this scanner than the cheap scanners ?
The engine module may flag codes for
Low or insufficient boost. It may show live data of the boost pressure sensors as well. Almost all of the “enhanced obd2” readers have the same functionality. So if you just get it for the obd functions, you would basically choose this due to its featured like how it looks and how the data is displayed. Almost all scanners do the exact same things and all have their own quirks. Like picking ford or
Chevy, they both drive you to walmart, but you may like features of one over the other.
@@MasterTechLou oh ok then I see that if just to see the faulty codes even cheap scanners work but cheap scanners I guess dont show transmission problems
@@MasterTechLou and also what would you advise something affordable just to use when buying a car to be sure no problem about the car like engine, misfire, transmission, ABS, etc. I just need a scanner to show me if it si good to buy the car. Thanks
@@securepro-id9is correct they just show the code and depending on the car the code may show a generic code and not the actual oem code so it can mislead you in diagnosis. I made a video on different types of scanners, its the how to reset the check engine light video. Take a look.
@@securepro-id9is a 4 systems scanner is what I would recommend. That way you get the important ones . Engine, transmission, airbag and traction.
can it just read and clear codes if you dont buy the software?
If you dont upgrade it, is simple is an enhanced OBD2 code reader that can read live data. Yes it can just read and clear codes.
@@MasterTechLou does it have special function when upgraded? like throttle body learning, fan test, etc... ?
@@zen6643 some relearns yes but not bi directional, in my video I had it, but it was a software glitch and has since been removed.
@@MasterTechLou seems like thinkdiag mini have more function than this one
TCM adaptive learn?
Negative, I don’t think so
Does it scan transmission for 2007 S550 Mercedes
Only if you buy the 4 systems upgrade yes.
Thank you Mr Lou, just seen your other video on the mucar pro which one is better
By the way I subscribed to your channel Mr.Lou

@@weezaleo thank you, I hope you find my information helpful!
40$ to upgrade or 40$ a year and if you don't pay again in a year it downgrades?
One time fee for life is what I understand
@@MasterTechLouit did say that when I purchased mine, but they lied!
Can i scan motorcycle?
No I don’t believe so. But I have never tried.

Until they lock it down . It’s a$100 scan tool. I’ll stick with the pros
Interesting take…
Which one is pros ?
@@its_MSR Thinkcar thinktool Pros scan tool
My candid advice, dont buy this tool its a money pit ,i got one myself and even purchased 28 reset functions on it which cost about $76,non is working and till date their engineers at thinkcar
could fix it ,all they give you is stories it couldn't even perform sas calibration on a 2011 toyota highlander. Its money pit .Run from it
You called to complain about a good feature to have for free surely it wasn't a deal breaker having it read modules out the box
If im going to do a review I need to be sure it functions as it was intended…… and dont want to mislead anyone and their ideas of how something works. 😌
