Will miss your London vlogs but I think the Thailand ones will be interesting too. You need to do a vlog about finding a place to live, which part of Thailand and if you ever start a business out there etc etc
My family are Eastenders but moved to Essex in 1971 and I was born in 1972. My mum and dad bought a puppy from the market on Brick Lane many, many moons ago, my sis had just lost her fiancee, a roofer who fell one day at work, just 18 and they bought her a puppy Peggy as we called her to comfort he during her loss, I was no age. The beagal shop is all I have been back for, as you know great. Darren I have loved your journey and wish you all the best in Thailand. Can we expect more videos from you please, you are so genuine and watchable...and I don't want to part you go just yet 🥺🙏 😊🥰
Once when I was in London I visited Brick Lane - I stood and took it in - the history or how over the years various ethnic groups, Jews, Irish, Bangladeshi etc have left their mark on the place as they came and moved on. Then the riots - defending what was the truth there and rejecting racism I can honestly say I felt tearful DJ - its a microcosm that sums up the London story over 200 years or more. Oh and I got a damn fine begel as well.
I enjoyed your videos, I live in Australia, and London is a thriving city. All the cafes and restaurants, I wish you all the best living your life in Thailand 😊
Greetings from a proud Manc, I was down there last weekend, not for the first time I might add, my dad was born and bred Cockney. Stayed in Aldgate and made the usual pilgrimage to Brick Lane for a curry and also had a nice street food sweet chilli chicken in Up market. Good luck in Thailand hope you don't get too homesick.
Just to say, sorry I’m behind with commenting! We watch on tv in the evening and so I like, but comment on the phone…am behind with that as I say 😬 When I said on one of your Thailand videos ‘can you not just stay there as we’re loving these videos’ I can’t believe you are actually going to live there!!! Amazing, can’t wait for more. All the very best xx
Used to enjoy the midnight bagels from there. Very fond of the salmon & cream cheese. Watching the guy on the corner shop feeding the rats, not so keen ! 😂
Nice one Darren, don't know why those cobbles aren't put back when road's are dug up as they last nearly forever, i guess it's just cheaper to skip them and tarmac such a shame
Think the word for Camden Town is " Trendy " 🤔🤔😳😱? The East End has more......... History. More dark tales. Social challenges through the ages. I'm gonna miss you strolling around the old City and telling me about the past that I should have known. Allan&Family
Fully understand your passion for Thailand its not my type of place full stop. The problem that tourists say oh its cheap etc do they give a toss about the way they have eak out a living etc?
We are coming down from Sunderland to London on Friday for 11 days we are stopping at Canary Wharf this time we’d love to bump into you maybe have a beer before you leave your home town for pastors new 👍
I don't blame you getting out of london its not the london i knew having visited many times over the years,go on your adventure in the far east Asia, see how holiday compares to the daily grind..
ref the end - its funny I was born and raised in Manchester and support City - I lived there for half my life but still refer to it as "home" some places just occupy your very bones wherever you are
This is tearful as DJ moves on. It will never ever be the same after Trump 2025. Good Bye everyone. I will forever miss The Ten Bells, pre 2000 where we had so much entertainment....Girls were playing Lacrosse without much......wonderful world
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner that I love London Town.😊 I don’t know why but I was tearful watching this video! Call me daft, as I am from the Isle of Wight,(living in Vancouver). Being a southerner I just love London. Also because I have been left England for many years now, but have to go back once sometimes twice a year, I miss it a lot. Britain is very unique that is why it is so appealing. But saying that you are going to a place of unimaginable beauty, so I am so happy for you. Any chance that you might go to the West End for a Christmassy vlog before you go off to paradise? Also, I really thought we would see you go to City Spice for a nice farewell meal as you were in Brick Lane. Still, you have to get on with your packing, so your time is precious. Good job Darren.🍻
What do you have to do to get a visa or whatever is required to live there for a year? What happens if you want to live forever there? Do you give up your UK citizenship? Do you have to leave Thailand for a certain amount of time each year? Just curious. I asked a US citizen who moved to UK about this and she said she didn’t know, was winging it. 🤷♀️ lol okay… I guess I’m more of a planner, and maybe it’s not a big deal anymore to move to other countries. 🤷♀️
love ya videos Darren, wots your honest opinion of our capital these days? I think you are a very good person to ask. my opinion is crime is out of control, so I don't think I would feel that safe. hope I'm wrong. anyway pal all the best for your endeavour's. good luck Pal.
@DarrenJohn I don't know, just sent a kind message as always Darren ? 14 years subscription to Premium with over 1000 quality filtered subscribed to channels. I spent 1 hour rewriting the message in different ways ?
I wish you luck but going to be honest will not follow you as much. Grass always seems greener on the other side. Good luck but Thailand is not the be all and all . Not a criticism just my point of view. Especially if you are on your own could become a very lonely existence

Back in the 1960's it wasn't called Brick Lane Market, it was known as Club Row, and they sold mainly pets, dogs, cats, birds and fish.
Sunday morning we would often go down Petticoat Lane in the 50s , lovely memories .
50s , Fukken hell you must be older than me, I'm 70
Loving these reminiscing vlogs DJ, I hope you're going to do some food ones before you leave, City Spice and a few more eateries.

Unfortunatley London is really being battered to high heaven. With so many busineses closing at an astranomical rate. Its very very scary out there

You gotta meet up with Australian youtuber “Wayneos adventures” when you get back to Thailand ❤❤❤❤
Remember standing on the corner of the Lane opposite Club Row watching the NF confronting the Anti-Nazi league in the 70's.
We need a quality Indian restaurant here in Empuriabrava BTW..

As Londoners it was the place to go to get your leather and sheepskin goods, if they didn't have it they'd make it for you.
You'll miss London.
@alexlangford6291 Yes he will
Hi Darren just to let you know , I’m not getting notifications of your vlogs anymore 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve tried resetting 🤔
I think RUclips are rebooting
