Who decided the work Bartok was doing was more importanttan Schmitt,Krenek etc . and others working at this time with extended ideas and original new ideas ? Now after only a few minutes I see what's happening in thescore : but who says its conveys something novel , important , truthful . U hear music from before 1st world and it does a lot of the same thing movement in fourths , minor2nds, M7 angular phrases , ellisions , breaths , open spaces all defining our world and bringer new emotions and truths but why Bartok ? Obviously the same reasons as why Beeth instead of Cherubini or other symphonists before Berlioz . Thats our work to do ! A few looks at the printed music the music has reason , humor and much sense so much I wonder what Im missing - may never comprehend all of it . I love this music . Unlike 5 and 6 it's almost immediately felt : that's why I stick with it . Gorgeous , dark hued textures from the very beginning and throughout . Always full of line and melody and counter lines . This is music too balance other artwork by !.
Every time I listen to Bartok it makes my life rich and intense. Thank you.
From about 30 years ago up to a decade this performance filled all my life so deeply that all my paintings and playing later remained impressed by it.
... Can we see ur paintings? :D

I need fingerings so badly tho😭😭
It's not for the faint of heart. I myself had to make several urgent trips to the toilet on account of some the more discomfiting sonorities.
