This was THE early 90's song!! The amount of air play in my country was insane. I don't think there was a single day , for months when it came out, that this didn't play on the radio at least one time a day, sometimes multiple times
That movie has finally gotten the recognition it deserves as a sharp send up of 80s action tropes. I think it was simply too soon, as those films were still being put out then. Many people now consider it a minor classic.

Am I the only one interested in them talking about them getting an Idea for a song for their "Def Leppard" album in a Bathroom in Boise Idaho? I mean I've heard of songs coming to people in weird places, but it doesn't get better than in a bathroom. Lol xD They've talked about it vaguely a few times, but they never said what song it was,and that just made me what to know even more. xD

Though I will always step on the gas a bit quicker when you come on the radio. The U.S. loves your band. I was lucky enough to see all of you at a concert, jumped over a barrier and ran up with my sister....I'll never forget looking at the band, singing along, and seeing a wink and thinking that was nice, and wishing I could convey my thanks for so many awesome songs. Your impact reaches people around the world...not to many people can say they live within that realm. I wish to make it to heaven one day....I imagine that I get to talk to you all there.... because that would be heaven to let my heart overflow and touch your souls with thank yous.
Two Steps Behind - how can anybody not see that Joe wrote the song about Steve. It's so obvious. He wrote it in 1989, when Steve really started going down....listen to the words. Also, Joe did the entire song by himself, including the instruments. Then put it away. It wasn't until 2 years after Steve's death, and Joe and Phil were playing for fun acoustically at a pub, that Phil suggested they play it then, acoustically...Joe agreed. That was the first time Joe had ever performed that song publicly. Odd how Phil already knew about the song, huh? Watch the video....a lot of messages are in it.
There really isn't a " story " as it was a slang way of saying " I'm a gettin' it(sex)." That's really all there is to that song, and as Joe Elliott said " it's not about nuclear war. "
