I tried this last night and my pain level went from 8 to 6. I did it again this morning since I was going to walking to the train station and pain level went down to a 4. I walked 0.5 miles and didn't stop due to the unbearable pain that I usually experienced after few feet. Thank you so much. I'll Continue to do this exercise many times daily.

I have been wrestling with SI joint pain for close to 3 years after a bicycle accident. I've had Prolotherapy, a steroid injection and have been using a pelvic exerciser. By following this video for the first time my pain level went from a 6 to a 3. Amazing. I will keep at it and see how it goes. Thanks!

Just started Hip Rotation II. My hope is that I will be able to run again but I will not be disappointed if I can’t - as long as I’m not consumed by pain.

You went straight for the shots eh? How bad did prolotherapy hurt? My understanding of it is injections directly into your low back and I say no thanks. There's only one physician that performs it where I live and I'm in the capital too. Not much for alternative medicine options around here, they love their prescriptions.

@@ohnoao9847prolotherapy if it is just injections of dextrose and not all these fancy stem cells they want to sell you is one of the most natural substances you can find. Do some reading about it. They should not be injecting directly into the spine but in the ligaments and muscles attached to them to create an inflammatory response which then tightens the connection. I had 2 prolotherapy injections in my shoulder and it solved a chronic shoulder problem I had which defied 9 months of acupuncture treatment.

I've been in pain since last October....it's now August 1. I've said all along that it was my SI joint. It was sudden onset when I was bent over using a dustpan and kind of twisted when I stood up. But my doctor was convinced it was my hip. He finally ordered xrays that did show arthritis in that hip. So, he didn't think any Physical Therapy would help and has just ordered pain meds. I don't take them unless it's REALLY severe! When you had me rate my pain, it was an 8. I was still sitting in a chair and did the exercises with you and I went from that 8 to about a 3 or 4. I plan to do them standing now and several times throughout the day and maybe I can get this cooled down! So, I'm right, SI joint!!! Thank you SO MUCH for making this video!

Oddly, I had sort of started doing this on my own and it helps. I was injured 6 months ago and all kinds of pain back and forth on both sides with the SI joints and more. I thought I was finally hitting that point where therapeutic exercises were helping me heal. I didn't think it was this technique specifically that was helping so much. But maybe it is. This video helps explain what was working and how to refine it and be more aware of what I was doing. I work in restaurants and I was trying to focus on better posture when standing at tables. I tend to lean in to my left hip or lean over slightly to hear people. I was recalling old sessions of yoga talking about pulling the pelvis up and not "spilling out the bucket" and I was finding some relief. Becoming more aware of the internal rotation piece of this was helpful. Watched the other videos. May need to try those next to continue to heal. When I do this, I also feel a release or shift of some sort in my mid back. I think those muscles had been compensating for my injury and have been very tense. This seems to then help those muscles above. Does that sound right? If this exercise helps, does it mean I should do more to strengthen the lower abs or pelvic floor so the pelvis doesn't tilt forward? When I can't activate the pelvis at first, I add a slight bend to my knees. Then I can usually engage this exercise better. Thanks for posting this. Now I know more consciously what my body was intuitively trying to do to get better.

Alors encore une fois ENORMOUS THANKS and keep up the good work , helping people out !!

Been dealing with SI Joint pain and complications for going on 8 months now. Every single day I'm in some level of discomfort or pain and limited on what I can physically do. Been in and out of physical therapy. Currently waiting to get a consult for SI Joint steroid injections. I've been all over RUclips searching for stretches, exercises, etc. for relief. While I know this won't be a permanent solution by any means, I have to admit that this seems to be really effective at providing some immediate relief. I would say I was around a 3 or 4 before doing this. After, easily close to 0. I would probably say 0.5. I'm pretty shocked this was as effective as it was. I will definately be incorporating this daily.

When you said rate your pain, I do not have "pain" per say, so I substituted pain for tightness, which is what I was experiencing. Following your voice and movements, I took a tad linger with my activation because they were "dormant" and not really used since I was diagnosed with 2 autoimmune conditions that have paralyzed my excerise routine to nothing. I walked around after doing it with you, and surprisingly, the tightness in my hips, knees and shoulder loosened, and to my surprise, my aching TMJ and facial tension was also lessened. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Been able to manage it through the past 15 years with a variety of things, yoga most helpful, but this is pure genius as a "multi-vitamin" of SI health! Thank you Eric!

WTH I have a back spasm and my body was all twisted in pain and now the pain is barely there and my body is untwisting a bit. I also usually watch the Asian chiropractors video on a twisted pelvis but hadn’t been doing the exercises bc I’ve been so busy, but that can really help straighten it out. I noticed you’re a bit tilted with your pelvis. This spasm has been a big reminder to always find time to do my exercises

If I continue to work or walk (sometimes I can't stop to go sit), the pain can go up along my spine and in my lower ribs. I hope this exercise will help... thank you 🌹

However, the stretch that you showed us truly helped relieve the pain immediately. I wish there was a more permanent solution to the pain though as im physically active and the pain is chronic.

I didn't have pain, but I was totally unaware that I need to oppose the glutes with the adductors. I can feel how my weight sinks down in the feet, giving me much more stable and grounded feeling. The tight/weak right adductor can probably explain my right knee and ankle pain and the weird foot flop when I load my glutes.
    Thanks a lot, coach!

First off, your videos are fantastic. Very smart and well presented. Secondly, I'm not asking for a diagnosis but am trying to figure things out. I have had mid - lower back pain for 2.5 years, which has rapidly progressed to 24-7 severe pain that has now traveled to my groin in the past 4 months. I can no longer work and can only sleep about 3 hours at at a time due to pain. I am a 49-year-old retired sports massage therapist, with years of practicing pilates and yoga, and have good posture and kinesthetic awareness. I have always been thin and wiry (still thin, but greatly debilitated as pain has progressed). I began with pain at a 9 and pain ending at a 9. :(....have had two rounds of PT, steroid injections, trigger point lidocaine injections, and ablations. I have a large herniated disk and joint desiccation at L5-S1 with degenerative arthritis. Spinal surgeon said my pain was not due to my hernia but rather SI disease and referred me to a physiatrist. He said I did not have SI disease and diagnosed me with piriformis syndrome. New PT does not think it is piriformis syndrome and believes it is pelvic floor disfunction. I can no longer perform the exercises I initially did to strengthen my back and am no longer responding to pain medication or muscle relaxants. I am in a quandary. This exercise makes total sense and I was hoping it would help as most of my pain is located at the SI joints. My PCP is now thinking I have an autoimmune disease. I see a new surgeon in a couple of weeks and am remaining hopeful. If anyone has any experience with these symptoms, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks for reading.

Likely as not u r aware that pain represents an electrical impulse along a nerve pathway. ¿Yes?
60 yrs ago during the US invasion of Viet Nam, helicopters w 100's of troops would be sent to grab territory from the locals, and became easy targets for the NVA which I experienced first hand. @ 30' abv ground level it was jump time. So I know pain. Wkg on pain mgnt is individualist but in the land of compare & contrast there are actually protocols that work reliably, related to transmission interference. These are the CB2 receptors in ur ecs. Do some experiments & play around to find the timelines that work for you. Some modalities last two hrs while others extend to 12 hrs.

I even tried this sitting, by doing everything he mentioned while gently lifting my torso engaging my abs but relaxing and breathing. It worked! I'm not advocating doing it sitting, but I was even able to stand up easier... not using my hands and is good for if you're under the weather or really tired so there's no excuse to not do it.

Hi Coach E. Patrick here. Hmmmm …. Wishful thinking or what? I think it worked? I do that other SI reset that Dr B showed us once …. Supine ….. knees up…push\pull the knees. Squeeze knees together on your fist. “Click” ….. presto…. Instant relief. Your new technique is useful as you can do it standing. I’m on it! So how do you get muscle balance so the glutes don’t always dominate and “pull” the pelvis to the posterior? Continue your exercise to develop pelvic floor?

    • @snazitto4417
      @snazitto4417 2 года назад

I was wondering the same. Do I need to do lower ab exercises or as you said more pelvic floor work? What does this tell me about where I am weakest? Or where I should begin to strengthen so the pain stays away more long term after doing an exercise like this.
